Simply a great restaurant with very good food that is also affordable. Staff very friendly. The surrounding area invites you to take a walk or even go hiking.

Always happy to stop by and meet in a friendly atmosphere. The food is great and has a seasonal selection. Only the dessert menu is a bit one-sided "ice cream-heavy".

Were there on a Monday evening at 6 p.m. TERRACE full. We were just able to sit with someone. Food was very good and cheap. Service very nice. We have just reserved a family event there. Highly recommended Our family festival was great. Everything worked out perfectly. Food was very good. Service top. We'd love to come back.

The staff was friendly, the food was delicious and the portions were generous. But what really bothered me was the very long waiting times! We were there at 11:15 a.m. It took 20 minutes until someone asked us what drink we wanted! It then took another 30 minutes for the food order to be taken.....so only 50 minutes after the arrival time!! We had the food on the table 70 minutes after our arrival time. There were three of us guests and we all ordered dessert. This was then soon brought for 2 people. After 10 minutes I asked where the third dessert was. Unfortunately, this was completely forgotten. It was then brought...but only after the other two of us had already eaten our ice cream.

Highly recommended for home-style cooking at a fair price. Beautiful outdoor terrace and children's playground available. The beef fillet is highly recommended.

A beautifully located restaurant. Price-performance corresponds to the Swiss standard. We found the sausage platters sparsely stocked after a hike, and the bread also had to be reordered several times. The lady in service had a lot to do. There wasn't much time for kindness.

Wonderful view all the way to the Säntis. The food was hearty and solid - very large portions. You definitely don't go home hungry.

My cream schnitzel with rösti croquettes was very tasty. The view from the garden restaurant is fantastically beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Only the aroma on the table makes everything seem as if the chef couldn't cook. You don't need it, he can cook 😉

The visit was great. The food was incredibly tasty, regional and delicately seasoned. The ingredients were all fresh and most likely without additives. We are sensitive and tolerated everything really well. The staff is very competent and friendly. We would love to come back...you definitely have to make a reservation!

Good, fine Swiss cuisine as it should be! You shouldn't say it because the rest of the local restaurateurs still think they have to reinvent the kitchen, but they should get off their high horse and get down to earth and do something like what the Hohfirst team does every day proves again.

I've known the Hohfirst for years. And I really go home excited every time. The price/performance ratio is truly incomparable. The staff is very friendly and there is always something to joke about. The inn is very cozy in the cold season and the terrace is a good size and of course has a great view.

There is also a bus stop right in front of it. The restaurant itself has an indoor and an outdoor area with plenty of seating. The only disadvantage is that there are a lot of flies, but that's not to be expected given the proximity to the farm. The toilets are clean and also have hygiene products if you need them. The employees are consistently friendly and very accommodating. Super Service! The food was excellent, the meat was perfectly fried and the side dishes were very varied and tasty. You also get a second helping. The dessert was also beautifully presented and delicious. Prices completely reasonable and totally fine. Highly recommended for a celebration. Will be happy to come back.

Enough parking spaces. Big portion. Very tasty food. Ingenious and well thought-out playground for both small and large children. Great view. Meat directly from our own farm. The only point of criticism: it is not possible to reserve an outdoor table in advance. When everything is packed, it gets pretty loud inside and therefore difficult to have a decent conversation with one another.

First of all, I'm still amazed! Hospitality and innkeeping are lived here. The cuisine is a journey into original Switzerland with what is grown and produced here in old traditions and perfection. The point at which I questioned whether I was dreaming (which I also questioned) was the bill to be paid. Go and have a good time!
