Holy Cow! in Genève

Good burgers, however the cashier is incompetent in taking orders and borders on disrespect with my wife… This totally ruins the experience and for this reason we will not come back and do not recommend the brand. We have generally been going to chic chicken for years, certainly a little less upscale but their kindness is impeccable. Hiring students is good, but why not integrate more experienced people to supervise them and avoid this type of situation? PS the young girl in the room was very pleasant.

Still as good, nothing to say.. Just a little forgetting to check out the drinks.

We returned to the reopening and the layout of the place and very pleasant with seating both inside and outside. The service was very good and fast and the burgers and fries are always excellent. I go back regularly, it’s always impeccable.

I liked it before but now, the meat is bad, the worst part is that I felt while eating that there was a quality problem but now! It stuck to me in the bowl…. To stay soft! In short, make your own opinion but I won't go back there.

It's back after renovation. I had the basic chicken burger. It is grilled, not fried. A bit underseasoned, a bit dry, but a decent chunk of meat. Bun is good. Sauce could be tastier, but it's fresh. Fries are excellent, crunchy and soft. Service was swift. Price is ok.

An excellent Burger spoiled by the view of Diego Napolitaine's fences. Be careful 🤫 don't say it but it's Italian mafiosi from the south who own this outlet. I haven't been at peace since I learned that they are squatting nearby, unfortunately.

In principle, a very good Burger restaurant. Unfortunately, the vegetarian patties really leave something to be desired. Why not include Beyond Meat / Planted /… in the menu?

The fries are excellent. There's something about the beef though that feels weird in the mouth. Maybe they add extra tenderizer or some unusual spices. The burger selection is interesting and original. I like the cheese and cranberry chicken.

But overall it's okay for a fast food restaurant.

Go on your way… I took the Smokin’ Holy Cowboy and frankly I was very disappointed. Indeed, the meat is really not good, you have the impression of eating a chipolata, and the texture is really not pleasant to chew. Then to top it all off, the fries are really not crazy, you have the impression that they have been previously frozen, which gives the impression of eating a non-fresh product with a hard texture. In short, very disappointed with the quality of this restaurant despite the few positive reviews.

DISGUSTING ! WE ALMOST VOMITED! Very disappointed with the meat. I went there a few years ago and really liked it. But this is a cold shower. The meat in my Smokin’ Holy Cowboy really wasn’t good at all and in a burger, that’s the most important thing. To imagine the so-called “100% Swiss beef” steak, imagine a Migros M budget chipolata in the shape of a steak. Let’s be honest, paying almost 25.- to eat a chipolata burger is indecent! With my friend, we didn't even finish our burgers because the taste and texture of the meat disgusted us so much... A Big Mac is much better.

Dirty dirty dirty!!!! Sticky tables, a hair or hair stuck to the ketchup spout, dried ketchup all over the body of the dispenser, mayonnaise cap drying out, overly salty fries, clogged sink. I ate there a bunch of years ago, nothing to say but the hygiene there is more than doubtful. Not ready to set foot there again. (arrive just before noon, among the first customers so no reason for the establishment to be dirty.)

So as usual we cannot be disappointed by the Holy Cow!. I had a special, the Z (raclette, Grisons meat) and I was amazed by how good this burger tasted, it was really an akhy masterclass. The fries are delicious, the drink is unlimited, what more could you ask for? I recommend with my eyes closed!

I ate there from the beginning, it was very good, the meat was very good. Today I find the meat of the burger much less good. I don't know if the supplier has changed. Then I saw that they precook the meat in advance and they reheat it when there is an order. Which makes the meat really not as good. A quality burger must have meat cooked to order, not in advance, which is a real shame. The other burger restaurants I go to don't do this and it shows in the taste.

Go there a few times a year for lunch and I like this place. The food is very tasty. There is a big selection of different beef, chicken and vegetarian burgers. The meat is very good and I especially like the Maui Maui burger. However I wouldn't say it is really gourmet, because the burger in the menu isn't special at all. The french fries are okay, but they usually put a little bit too much salt. Overall I like the food. The service is okay. You order and they bring the food at your table, you have to take ketchup, and all these things yourself. Sometimes it is relatively slow and you have to wait quite a bit four your "fast" food. But it's not always like that, so it's okay. The big downside of this place is the interior. The tables aren't cleaned (or aren't cleaned enough), because there are usually rests of previous customers. And the place overall isn't very clean and looks old. I would the other Holy Cow in Geneva if you want a better atmosphere. In conclusion I would certainly recommend this place if you haven't tried, however I won't go there regularly, but sometimes it can be a good choice if you want good burgers.

It was one of my favorite places before I moved. When I returned to Geneva, I was looking forward to going back there and I took quite a beating. The quality of the restaurant has dropped terribly. I had trouble finishing my burger (the beef was really mediocre) and it looked like my salad had been sitting in a freezer for several days. Too bad, at the time it seemed to me that this restaurant was doing well! Undoubtedly another consequence of covid..

Definitely beats the competition from restaurant-burgers from international chains. The welcome is super friendly, the interior sober but pleasant, and the composition of their burgers allows you to try new and pleasant tastes: the “Hobbit” burger, with truffle oil, is a real killer. Perfectly located, near the city center and the Pleinpalais plain.

Unsavory room, basic furniture, sticky table that stuck to your hands, cold bread "as if it came out of the fridge". However, very good hamburger, hearty and tasty meat, excellent fries. I read that we could have asked to heat the bread but we didn't know that. In summary, the room would benefit from being a little neater and the bread from being frosty.

The burgers are always pretty good. The fries are superb!! The quality of the products is there. This restaurant is more of a style: fast food. If you want to eat a burger quickly, it's perfect, it arrives in 2 minutes. However, if you are a big Burger fan this is not the place I would recommend first.

Disappointed 😞 A while ago I already gave 4 ☆☆☆☆, I ate quite often... today I'm going down to 1☆, the quality is down! Just this evening, we ordered 2 Bacon Avocado Chicken menus: cold hamburger (AND YET... we live 7 minutes by foot/4 minutes by car, the proof is that the fries were very hot), bread not fresh it seems, liquid avocado, almost non-existent candied onions and the chicken 🙄, I couldn't tell you... 🤔🤨 In short, I just enjoyed the fries (and again, not enough ketchup!) So... I think we'll leave it there 🙄

Gourmet? Far from it. A classic fast food restaurant. I ordered the classic big beef menu. The burger was probably with ham and had a very strong taste, but was relatively dry. The (sour sweet) seasoning didn't do any good to it. The chips were good. On the selection of drinks they have their own proprietary (Swiss) ones (holy cola, Apfelschorle, iced tea), so don't expect the American brands if you were looking for them. My 13 old companion also didn't like the meat, but the chips saved the meal. The place was not that clean (leftovers of previous meal on the table). After you order, the meal is delivered to the table. It looked like the same person is taking orders and preparing food, and it took our food some time to arrive (not very fast food). We visited during the low hours, so there weren't any other orders in line, maybe except for one family that came before us.

Hahaha, when I received my plate I did exclaim Holy Cow! The chips were perfect as was my burger. I'd highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great quality and quick, filling meal.

Let's start with the good: The speed of service and the fries are good. The welcome is not very warm but is quite acceptable. On the other hand, I would like someone to explain to me how a ground beef steak tastes like sausage (chipolata)... For a hamburger, before the "fancy" sauces and the "original" toppings, you need a good meat and, that's where the problem is, the meat is disgusting... I had already made this observation two years ago, the last time I went there, but as I said that maybe it was just an impression that stayed with me, I wanted to try it again... To my great regret... this time, it's decided, I won't go back there again. My recommendation to the owner: Rather than worrying about the quality of the meat, consider reducing the quantities slightly and using beef worthy of the name!

Ever so slightly slow (but they apologised, and we did have 2 Junior meals which had to be started from scratch). However the chips/fries were so salty none of us wanted to eat more than a few, including the kids. Very nice Aztec salad.
