We only stopped in briefly when we were looking at Basel. Very friendly

We stayed at Trois Rois both as overnight guests and for Sunday brunch. The rooms are really nicely decorated, even if they don't suit my personal taste. When it comes to the staff and service, you can tell that the Trois Rois is a bit outdated. I have the feeling that a lot of attention is paid to appearances, even though as a guest this shouldn't really be the focus anymore. I also suggest that Sunday brunch should take place in buffet form again and that this table service story becomes history. But otherwise recommended to everyone.

When booking a room make sure to book one overlooking the river. It is magnificent. When you check in in any hotel in Basel you will get a ticket for the public transport in all of Basel which is a nice bonus.
