Wonderful restaurant in the heart of Chur. We found this hidden gem by recommendation from our hotel concierge and it was better than anything we could have expected! The service provided by Laszlo was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is off the beaten path, but it is still within walking distance from the city center, and it is well worth it! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Was there last night with three friends. The food and the ambience were good. The price/performance ratio is also right. Unfortunately, the extremely unmotivated young waiter contributed to the fact that the evening at Marsöl wasn't that great. A pity!

Very good food & friendly service

A lovely restaurant hidden away in the old town in the ground floor of a beautiful old building. Excellent choice of vegetarian and vegan food. I had the creamy tomato soup followed by the Naan - 4 plate sized nan breads with several vegan curries. All delicious. The restaurant itself is charming and decorated in an old style and the staff were extremely friendy and welcoming.

Very fine, good food, extremely friendly staff, fine, beautifully prepared dessert, I can only recommend the restaurant with all my heart ❤️.

The reception directly from the owner was very welcoming, the selection of menus was very varied, the daily menus were very tasty and cheap for the high quality. The service was friendly and the whole atmosphere was harmonious. We will definitely be coming back with anticipation. Thank you very much for the good, relaxed lunch!

For all risotto lovers, the risotto full moon (house specialty) is an absolute highlight! I make a special monthly trip from the Zurich region to Marsöl, big cinema, for this top-class risotto, keep it up!

We have just got there after the closing time around 2pm this Sunday. The waiter (turned out to be Hungarian as well :) ) and the Chef too were so nice to accept us as late guest, that was a nice gesture from the waiter to make that extra step for us. He suggested us to try the wild stew, wich was an excellent choise, made our day! Yummy! Our 17 month old kiddo mad a bit of mess on the table while enjoying her spaghetti, but the waitress was so understanding about it that we really left with an unforgettable experience and a feeling that we were really treated with hearts! There is a nice playground wich is a + for families.;)

One of the best service and wild deer experiences, we can only recommend it. Child-friendliness is also very good.

The aperitif didn't suit my taste. Nuts, chips, a ham croissant per person and a small cheese cake. Acoustics from the rooms (Sääli) were very bad.

What we were offered today is not worthy of a catering company. Reservation 8 people at 8:15 p.m Table received 8:45 p.m Order 9:15 p.m. only food, nothing written down. Drinks not asked at all. Very unfriendly and not at all insightful. I'm ashamed to have put my guests through this. I'm so disappointed.

Disastrous wedding reception. Cheap plastic tablecloths, nothing prepared, not even chilled drinks provided. You had to wait forever for the appetizers that were prepared without love in the deep fryer. Not enough service staff, a single employee had to do everything, while her two colleagues just watched idle and crossed their arms after serving a few guests who were not part of the wedding party.

When we went out to eat today it was very full. The waitress was definitely at the limit to serve all the tables and it took a little while. But overall: very friendly and very good, filling food.

We had a major event with our association in Marsöl Chur with over 200 people. The service, the service and the food were simply top notch. The rooms are very nice, especially the space in the garden. Highly recommended. Many thanks to the great crew at Marsoil.

Difficult case... The atmosphere (especially the garden restaurant) and the food (very large selection) are really good, without a doubt. But the service - although friendly - is uncoordinated and very slow. Unfortunately, we also waited a very long time for our food, which became a bit annoying after a while.

The restaurant has its charm, the painted ceiling beams are very beautiful. The food is fine, fresh and creative. The portions are rather large. The boss even finds time to stop by the table during lunchtime. We will be back.

Family event at a table for 12 people. Puschlav specialties for all of us. Wine and water are delivered quickly, cold plates as starters follow soon. After a break, the main course is served to everyone at the same time. Quality and quantity are completely ok, with only a little room for improvement. So definitely recommended.

Atmospheric and nice restaurant with delicious food from both national and international cuisine, although the food was very tasty, the service could have been a little better. They were very busy, because of course it was almost Christmas. We tried the Swiss wines which did not fully match the menu. Nevertheless, it was very tasty and we enjoyed it! I can definitely recommend a visit.

Company event. The chips at the aperitif were gone within 10 minutes and there were no more new ones. Unfortunately, the picture was the same at the appetizer buffet, which was only enough for about 2/3 of the people present. Unfortunately, it took so long for supplies to arrive that most people no longer wanted an appetizer. The main course buffet was plentiful and really tasty. Unfortunately, the type of dessert was again...The service left a medium impression in terms of friendliness. For me there was no reason to come by again privately after I felt the need.

A nicely decorated restaurant with odd service and quite high prices. We waited for over 10 minutes to order drinks, then another 10-15 minutes to receive them - even though they were sat on the counter right in front of us for a good 5 minutes. The service was bordering on unfriendly and it seemed to be more than the language barrier, as we always try to speak in the local language - even if with the help of Google Translate. The food was "ok", but expensive - even for Switzerland. I can't say we would call here again, but it wasn't awful.

We came to celebrate our friend getting married and the celebration was spoiled. We arrived 15 minutes later and the stuff was extremely unfriendly and didn’t want to serve us even though the restaurant was almost empty. The food was overpriced and not special (which is typical for Switzerland). We complained about the stuff unfriendliness to the manager and she didn’t even apologise. We are very disappointed with this place! The only good thing is a quiet location and THAT IS IT

Nice restaurant in a nice location in Chur. The food was very good and the service was very friendly. What bothered me a bit is the fact that the service lady intervened in one of our conversations as an absolute opponent of Corona. It was completely unnecessary, we had another topic going on. A little chat with the staff is always OK. As a service lady, however, you keep your opinion to yourself with very weighed and sometimes completely absurd and childish statements, I think now. Otherwise everything is ok, I always enjoy the Mars oil. The large outside terrace is particularly recommended in summer.

Unfortunately, I have to say that I would not recommend the Marsöl restaurant. It's not about the food, because it was delicious 😋. The terrace is full, we a group of 7 people waited a long time until the waiter came to the table, then another eternity until the aperitif was served, which was served at the table next door. After an eternity, the waitress brought us the dessert menu, which was intended for the neighboring table because we hadn't been able to order anything to eat yet. Conclusion: A nice evening with fine food, nice ambience, not enough staff

You can go to Marsöl, the food is good in terms of value for money and you can also get nice service. But - and I agree with some of the previous reviewers - the condescending, inattentive way in which we were served or not served last time! were served... I've never experienced anything like that. The negative reviews probably relate primarily to the operation. We arrived just before 10 p.m. and asked if there was still hot food available. Very curtly it was said, "Actually, it hasn't been for three minutes, but sit down there" and two menus were thrown on the table. We thought we would hurry up and find it too. Then the waitress left wrinkling his nose and didn't come back for almost 30 minutes, first tidied up the entire beer garden, collected money, moved chairs everywhere, etc. and simply didn't come back. We then left with her watching us in silence. You can't set something like that in the service!

The food was the only good thing in this restaurant. The service was absolutely catastrophic! Extremely rude and condescending from the start. The first thing we did when we arrived was to be looked up and down and told in a cheeky tone that we needed to eat something - which we were planning on doing anyway. One of our group was not given any cutlery and the waitress didn't ask if we would like another drink. When we asked for the bill we didn't get it and the waitress chatted with people at another table. After 20 minutes we went to the table to ask again as we had to get on the train. This was our first and last visit - such poor, condescending service is rare to find even in Switzerland.

Very nice terrace and fine food

Excellently located in the higher old town, with a very large, cozy terrace shaded by trees, the location is highly recommended! Unfortunately there was no operations manager present that evening to greet, seat and look after guests, so it was a real shame. On the other hand, praise goes to the extremely enthusiastic service staff, they really do what they can. But the quality lagged behind. Very stressed service staff, tense atmosphere, long waiting times, minimal wine recommendations, wrong delivery, so you don't feel comfortable as a guest, it's a shame. In short: excellent location, good food, unfortunately management is absent, so service staff are much too stressed and hectic and guest care unfortunately does not meet expectations. However, I would like to emphasize the positive points mentioned and would also like to recommend this place but I wish and hope for the improvements mentioned.
