My comparison is relative to my experiences with equivalent food and service in other countries. Food: We ordered several dishes, including the crispy duck, siu mai (shrimp stuffing), har gau, char siu bao, shrimp and garlic dish, cheung fan and pork intestine Sichuan style. I would rate the food like this: The crispy duck is the best dish with a 4 star rating. The hoisin sauce in particular had an interesting taste. Then why only 4 stars: Try the duck in Four Seasons in London ;-). This is the best and most authentic duck in Europe. I would also give the pork intestine 4 stars, but I also ate better. The rest was unfortunately only 3 stars, not bad, but not outstanding either, unfortunately specialized dim sum masters can do much better. Overall, I would give it 3.5 stars overall due to the other disappointing dishes. Service: Good service and friendly staff. That's why there are 4 stars here. I have of course experienced the best service in Asia, particularly in South Korea and Japan, and in several Japanese restaurants in Europe. For 5 stars you have to measure yourself against such standards. Ambiance: 5 stars. The restaurant is very nicely designed.

Having just relocated to Geneva, we were hoping to find our “go to” dim sum haven. And we found it. Mont Blanc 7 has all the traditional dim sum, prepared by an excellent Hong Kong chef. Some of the tastiest dim sum we’ve experienced anywhere. Staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly. The decor is authentically Chinese, featuring much auspicious red. We’re keen to return and in particular to try the duck, which we understand is a house specialty. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely delicious food and incredibly friendly service. The Peking duck stands out as the best in Switzerland – it's remarkably authentic, and the crispy textures are a delight. The Xiang's style beef is another standout, showcasing top-tier quality. The atmosphere is superb, and the Hong Kong-style decorations are exceptionally unique! With its predominant red color, it exudes a distinct Chinese vibe that is hard to come by in Geneva, ideal for business dining. I will definitely dine here again. However, many dishes tend to be a bit spicy, so it's advisable to communicate with the waiters to adjust the spice level.

I've been here once for dim sum and once for dinner. Food was excellent and very gourmet. It really satisfied my craving for Chinese food.

A la carte New Year's Eve dinner. The red of the walls and the cheerfulness of the staff immediately put us in the mood of New Year's Eve. We opted for this restaurant by chance but were extremely satisfied with the choice: the noodles with chicken were excellent and the crispy beef was delicious. Very friendly and attentive service, we had the Beijing duck with Cantonese rice which was amazing. The bathroom has a crazy pathway to it, but was clean. We weren’t served tea after the meal which I thought was complimentary.

Mediocre food at best and the absolute worst service ever. Do not waste your time or money. Waited for our food while Asian diners arriving more than 30 minutes after us were fed and left. Tried multiple times to get the attention of servers and manager who ignored us. Seemingly an establishment that shows preferential treatment, expedited service and more courteous attitude towards Asians. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome and will be returning to our home in Paris with a less favorable view of dining in Geneve.

Terrible restaurant! The waitress was cold and difficult to talk to. His service was also bad. The food wasn't bad but the tastes are simple and not worth a high price. I also need to add that in my opinion, Geneva does not have any great , WOW Chinese restaurants like you would find in London or Paris, or in Vancouver, Toronto. Some of the best are in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. Mont Blanc 7 in Geneva is the only one I go to and their Dim Sums are good. Azim Abdulla.

The restaurant has a Chinese vibe in the center of Geneva, along the lake. The food is ok but the price is pretty high. Service is perfect, the waiter was trying hard to explain all the food and the portion for us, he even try to persuade us to order less or later as according to him the portion is big.

Terribly overpriced and portion sizes were tiny. Only restaurant besides McDonald's that was open on Christmas Day in Dec. 2022. We were disappointed that it was about $76 USD with the amount of food we had. I know Geneva, Switzerland is expensive, but that was excessive. A pro is that the wait time for the food was decent.

Good food but customer service leaves a lot to be desired. A jug of tap water costs 3.50. - if you don't order other drinks - what a way to extort money from your customer base. even when you decide to order something other than tap water, for example tea, they make sure to charge each person 5.50. - for ONE teapot. The menu was very vague with their wording (per serving vs per person). Who would have thought that the same pot of tea served for one person with the same amount of liquid can be double the price if the same pot is served for 2 people. Also long service - we had to ask to pay the receipt twice in 25 minutes and they even forgot our takeaway.

Very proffesional staff. Actually did alterations to the menu to accommodate my request. Fast service. Food is ok. But I should say expensive. I had fried rice with tofu. It was actually OK. I also asked for a non alcoholic drink and they had that option too. I also got some green tea. It was 65 Frank's.

Mont Blanc 7 offered the best food during our family's 18-day trip in Switzerland in July. It was because of a friend's invitation, we ended up eating at the restaurant. It turned out to be an amazing experience. Our family was totally impressed by the quality and flavor of all the dishes we ordered. Some of the dishes, unfortunately, only appeared in Chinese menu, such as 口水鸡 and 红烧狮子头。Because we liked the food so much, we went back again the night before we left Geneva. I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone who likes authentic and fine Chinese cuisine.

I was in Geneva for 3 nights and went to the restaurant twice. The last time was just before I went to Paris, France. I would say it is not the cheapest but the meals are of the best value for me. I asked about the reviews from other customers and the new owner (Ms. Li) told me she is the new owner and she hired a new chef. I think both the owner and chef are great.

We rediscovered this Chinese restaurant located on the Quai du Mont-Blanc in Geneva with its bright red decor. We enjoyed Yum cha, the traditional Cantonese brunch consisting of dim sum with chrysanthemum tea. The dim sum has gotten so bad that I feel obligated to write a review. First, many of the dim sum dishes weren’t properly prepared to the point that store-bought, frozen dumplings (of Chinese brands) tasted much better than these. Both dumplings and shumai didn’t have much fresh shrimp or meat in them, and were held together by loads of starch, so it felt like eating shrimp-flavored rubber balls. I believe many of their dim sum were low-quality, factory-made items. There were a few decent items: pork congee/porridge, rice rolls, chicken feet and steamed tofu skin wrap. But steer away from the dumplings! Second, inattentive and rude service. Food was slow to come, cups missing, water not filled, bill took forever to come, and no apologies when ordered dishes didn’t arrive at all. I have been to this restaurant many times in the past and the food has just gotten worse and worse. Such a shame when it was supposed to be a good “authentic” Chinese restaurant in town.

Got here on a cold December eve. The vegetarian dim sums and veg hot and sour soup were delicious .. just what my daughter and I were craving .. however the service was terrible! The waitress was rude, unapologetic about serving us chicken instead of vegetarian hot and sour soup and we didn’t even get a thank you once we finished paying.
