Best pizza in years! Now I finally know where to find them.

Excellent evening thanks to the kind hospitality and great suggestions. My husband had a pizza pappagallo and we enjoyed seeing the pizzaiollo making it directly from the wood-burning oven. For me, I followed the recommendation from the Chef de service, and it was a spectacle watching him debone the dorada. It was delicious, and the risotto was super tasty. We will definitely come back. We were the 1st. Here under the new management. The pizza was very tasty, as was the salad dressing and even more so was the dip for the pizza bread. As before, the atmosphere is casual and cozy. I will gladly come again. I'm looking forward to sitting outside in the summer. Only the chairs inside are the old ones, as always, and too uncomfortable for me.

With a recommendation from the kitchen, wonderful, warm pizza rolls with different colored hummus dippings arrived. We really enjoyed the garden-fresh salad, followed by the hot wood-fired pizza with a crispy base, fresh tomato sauce, plenty of mozzarella and a coordinated mix of herbs. Since the new tenants took over Papagallo, everything has been just right for me. The pizza is the best on the left side of Lake Zurich and the service is attentive and fast. The ambience still makes you feel like you're in an old trotteria. I think you can just spend a cozy evening there with good food.

Non voglio essere cattivo ma quando si parla di pizza bisogna essere sinceri. Impasto secco, cottura eccessiva, pomodoro precotto come se fosse una salsa per la pasta, estremamente unta probabilmente dall’olio di precottura del pomodoro ed infine mozzarella di scarsissima qualità dato che quando si raffredda un po’ diventa tutto un disco unico di formaggio (non si può chiamare mozzarella) gommoso da masticare. Mi spiace scrivere questo perché il pizzaiolo si prodigava molto con i clienti e dai suoi occhi si capiva che cercava consensi sul suo operato.. Spero che possa rivoluzionare il suo metodo e procedimento per migliorare. Ma la strada è lunga..
