The food was good, but the whole process was relatively laborious. The order was taken completely incorrectly and we had to explain several times that we wanted something different. Disappointment in Indian restaurants is a frequent experience. But we found this one with real good and friendly service and excellent food. The lamb and prawn curries were cooked to perfection, alucoby (potatoes+cauliflower) was just so so. This restaurant happens to be at the train station in Liestal, a small town. Train traffic and noise may not be to every one's taste but the tasty food compensates amply and perhaps kind of adds to the atmosphere for Indian food (feels a little bit like in India).

Genau dieses, war aber so scharf, dass wir es uns einpacken lassen mussten (schmeckte zu Hause mit einer grossen Portion Reis, sehr gut). Und vom Tikka Grillteller wurde uns eine Portionengrösse serviert, die höchstens einer Vorspeise entsprach... Die Portion Naan war je Sorte höchstens 1/2 der mir sonst vertrauten Grösse - dies für gute CHF 6.00.Ich persönlich empfinde Preise weit über 40 Franken pro Person, in diesem Restaurant, als alles andere als moderat - den für diesen Preis würde ich gerne satt werden. Mein Fazit, im ortsüblichen Vergleich hat das Restaurant wohl keine echte Überlebenschance - das ist schade - den die Qualität der Speisen war gut. Aber die Konkurenz bietet hier einfach ein deutlich besseres Preisleistungsverhältniss.

Das Indian Palace liegt gleich beim Bahnhof Liestal. Das Restaurant bietet leckeres indisches Essen zu moderaten Preisen und das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Das Chicken Madras war ausgezeichnet und hatte eine angenehme Schärfe. Das Naan Brot wurde frisch im Ofen zubereitete.Für Vegetarier gibt es ebenfalls eine grosse Auswahl an Speisen. Empfehlen kann ich hier eines der Daal Gerichte, die ebenfalls sehr lecker sind.

Das Essen im India Palace war ausgezeichnet! Als Vorspeisen bestellten wir einen Special India Salat und Payaz Pakora, als Hauptspeise das Chicken Tikka und das Saag Ghost. Alles perfekt und in der gewünschten Schärfe. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Als Gesamtwertung nur ein "sehr gut" und kein "ausgezeichnet", weil die Bestuhlung im India Palace etwas eng ausfällt.

We are Indian food lovers and have been sceptical to have some Indian Food outside the UK. Honestly, this is a great authentic place, very much to recommend. The booking went well, without any issues on a Saturday, the service was nice and friendly and the food just delicate!We had some Papadums, Payaz Pakoras, Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Vindaloo, Vegetable Kofta and the maharadscha dish.We will be back as customers!

I^ve tried a couple of the vegetarian dishes here and they were all very good. This is the sister restaurant of the Indian Royal Palace in Basel and is as good as that restaurant: as good as it gets in Basel. And apparently they have a tandoori oven there too as they server proper tandoori naans. So I guess that means proper tandoori chicken for the meat eaters. Everything by default seems to be European spicy - that is quite mildly spiced. So if you want it spicy, you have to ask for it ;-)
