On a midsummer Sunday after 1 p.m. The terrace and restaurant were empty - the hostess and hostess were under the umbrella and it seemed like they didn't notice us. It was only when we wanted to leave that the landlady finally noticed us. Back to the table. --- Conclusion: The food tasted quite good, the service provided was also impeccable and the view of Lake Zurich was wonderful. Overall impression: The dishes are undoubtedly on a higher level. Nevertheless, the portions could be a little more generous and the pricing a little more humane. Then this restaurant would be our favorite Chinese restaurant far and wide in no time.

If you are hungry, definitely I don't recommend. We waited 1 hour and a half. We understand that everything is made fresh but still too much time to serve the dishes, considering that the restaurant was empty. The portions are small and don't include rice. So, you will spend at least Chf 30 in a meal. They should hire someone to improve the service and serve faster.

To be honest, I have to admit that when I came in I smelled an acrid smell of either burnt or rancid oil. The food was good, although I've had better Chinese food, especially when it comes to vegetables. The duck in lemon sauce was very good. The rice seemed a bit overcooked to me, but ok. The vegetables were nothing special, typical ready vegetables with some soy sauce. It's a shame, because China and Asia in general have wonderful vegetables. The Lychee Cocktail was a bit disappointing. Instead of a Leechy, there was a candied cherry in it and that doesn't fit at all. In terms of taste, it was far from a really good Leechy cocktail, too thin and didn't taste like Leechy. The service was very friendly and helpful. I'm sorry that my review is not that good, but it corresponds to my opinion and impression that I got today.

We came here spontaneously. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good. The price of the main course was okay, the standard rice for 3.80CHF was okay, the price jump to 11CHF for other rice variants seemed a bit too big for us. We found it very nice that the chef personally came to each table after his work was done. Since the chef is a one-man show, we had to wait over an hour for our main course, hence 1 point deducted.

I chose beef Kung Pao with fried rice as a take away. The food is very good, the meat is of high quality and the rice was also very good. But the prices are extremely high, and there is no price difference if you choose the menu as take away or if you consume it on site. I also think the price for a portion of fried rice (11 francs) is excessive. If the prices for take-away were adjusted, I would come back because of the good food, but I'm not prepared to pay over 40 francs for a take-away menu that I have to pick up on site myself.

1 and half hour wait for starters poor quality. Main course 30 minutes later decent nothing to write home about. Understaffed sure they can do better especially when you pre book they kitchen was obviously not prepped for the tables booked. They could have organized the kitchen better.

The long waiting time on our first visit to the restaurant leaves a negative overall impression. The justification from the staff that everything is freshly prepared and the chef is alone in the kitchen could not convince us. Despite the good food, we will no longer visit the Jade Garden.

We have known the Jade Garden (Fam. Wong) for over 15 years and we have never experienced anything negative! The food is always great with the best quality. We haven't had Chinese in any other place. Restaurant ate better. We can't understand the negative reports! If you have to wait longer, we understand, everything is freshly prepared and the landlord does everything himself, he doesn't have a whole family behind him to help. If Chinese, only Jade Garden! Four of us were there on August 28, 21. As in Esslingen, the food was very, very tasty. It's also worth waiting. The service was friendly.

Food is really good. Portions are waaayy too small. We got charged 90 CHF for 1x sweet sour chicken, 1 sechuan chicken and 1 sechuan beef plus mini poeriin of rice Also we got 1x spring rolls and they are suuuper tiny and there is like 2 of them for 8 bucks Again food is good, but prices are horrible for the portiin. Add rice it costs nothing

The Jade Garden restaurant in Uetikon am See serves wonderful, freshly prepared Chinese delicacies! Since everything is really freshly prepared, you have to be patient, but it's worth it! No comparison to other Chinese restaurants! The restaurant used to be in Esslingen and is already very well known and popular! Now the former Krone Uetikon has finally found a new tenant who is sure to be very well received. Highly recommended, a culinary experience!

We love the food. Unfortunately, we've only been a "take away customer" so far, but it's always a huge pleasure. It is freshly prepared every time and is simply delicious. Be sure to get something twice a month. I hope that summer comes soon so that we can dine on the terrace. We're already looking forward to the next treat from the Jade Garden.

You have to take a lot of time because everything is freshly prepared by one person in the kitchen. But the wait is always worth it for the delicious food! We have been going to this restaurant on special occasions for over 20 years and are always recognized and greeted in a friendly manner, even after a long time. A great restaurant that is run with passion.

Food is very good and fresh (we've been there before). What's not right at all is the timing. We came and waited for 40 minutes without getting anything to eat. Meanwhile, takeout guests who came and left well after us were being served. After 40 minutes we asked for the bill for the drinks and left the restaurant.

22 guests in the restaurant. We have been waiting for the main course for over 90 minutes. I had reserved. We came with 2 children. We weren't asked if we wanted to drink anything extra after we had finished our first drink after just 30 minutes. Never come back!!!!

Wir mussten immer etwas länger warten auf das Essen als es uns lieb war, diesmal hat sich aber der Koch selber übertroffen. Bei leerem Restaurant 50 Minuten Wartezeit auf die Vorspeise ist definitiv zu lang. „ Der Koch kocht halt alles frisch“ hat es geheissen.. schön für ihn. Das Essen schmeckte aber so, wie wenn es bereits vorbereitet wäre. Sogar das „Thai Style“ Essen, erklärte die Bedienung, dass es so auf der Verpackung von Sauce stehe!!! Schade.

Das Essen war auch schon besser. Der gebratene Reis war sehr fein, Poulet Sezchuan hatte kaum Sauce, aber die knusprige Ente war wieder sehr gut. Das Poulet Thai Style hatte nichts mit Thai zu tun. Bei der Reklamation sagte die etwas mürrische Bedienung nur, es stehe so auf der Dose! So viel zu frisch zubereitet. Vielleicht ein Ausrutscher, was aber bei den Preisen nicht passieren darf.

Seit langem besuchen wir den Jade Garden zumindest 1-2 Mal monatlich und jedesmal ist es ein Genuss!Die Speisen werden alle frisch zubereitet und sind köstlich. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Gerichte "Szechwan", immer herrlich gewürzt, einmalig!! Danke dem Wirtepaar für die Gastfreundschaft und die stets unvergesslichen Mahlzeiten. Wir können einen Besuch dort jederzeit wärmstens empfehlen.

Leider haben wir es versäumt diesem Wirte Paar unseren Respekt viel früher zu zeigen, 1 x pro Monat besuchen wir dieses Restaurant. Die Wartezeit ist uns bewusst. Es wird alles frisch zubereitet. Das warten lohnt sich. Die Bedienung( Ehefrau) und der Koch ( Ehemann ) sind ein eingespieltes Team. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber.

Kantonesische chinesische Gerichte, Portionen sind klein, aber gut. Entengerichte sind die Spezialität ihres Hauses. Der Service ist langsam, da der Ehemann der Koch ist und die Frau das Servieren ohne Helfer erledigt.Das Essen ist gut, aber nicht außergewöhnlich, dass die Leute, die in anderen Teilen von Zürich leben, sich besonders anstrengen würden, dorthin zu fahren. Aber dann bin ich Chinesin mit einem weltweiten Bezug zur chinesischen Küche.

Wir waren an einem Montagabend zu zweit dort zum essen. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste und bestellten Dim Sum, Ravioli Suppe und zwei Enten-Hauptgerichte.Das Essen war sehr schön und hat toll geschmeckt.Die Chefin war zurückhaltend, trotzdem sehr freundlich. Das Essen war teuer, aber meine grosse Lust auf chinesisches Essen ist vorübergehend gestillt worden.

The restaurant is owned by a really friendly couple. The food is fantastic! I've been to many Chinese restaurants but never eaten anything like it. The restaurant is rather small, so I would make a reservation. Prices are a bit higher, but you get super tasty and traditional food. Highly recommended!

Wir kennen dieses Restaurant seit Anfang an und die beiden machen es wirklich super. Essen und Qualität ist wirklich super. Ja man muss Zeit haben, denn in der kleinen Küche macht er als Koch und Inhaber, zusammen mit seiner Frau (die auch den Service macht) alles frisch und mit bester Qualität. Wenn wir einmal bei einem anderen Chinesen eingeladen sind (wir gehen nur zu unserem) werden wir jedes Mal enttäuscht, so verwöhnt sind wir schon. Dann möchte ich noch sagen, dass es immer wieder Gäste gibt, die unangemeldet einfach "reintrampen" und wenn sie dann noch Platz kriegen auch noch reklamieren, dass es zu lange gedauert hat. Wenn man reserviert, könnte man ja auch schon sagen was man will, dann kann er es schon vorbereiten. Zudem gibt es auch Tage, wo es nicht so viele Leute hat, die geniessen dann wir. In Kürze werden wir da auch ein Essen mit mehreren Freunden abhalten.

Das Essen war wirklich gut. Vor allem das Crispy Beef. Aber die Bedienung war grauenhaft. Keine Vorspeise zu bestellen kam gar nicht gut an. Und eine vegetarische Variante von einem Gericht kam nicht in Frage. Es kam mir vor, als wolle sie nur das teuerste Gericht verkaufen. Wir hatten 2 Hauptgänge, Prosecco, Bier und Wein und als ich ein Hahnenwasser dazu bestellte traf mich ein Blick der töten konnte. Der war filmreif. Wär ich ein Regisseur, dann hätte ich sie vom Fleck weg als Bösewicht engagiert! Das war unser 2. und letzter Versuch.

Es wird alles frisch zubereitet und alles schmeckt auch super. Kein 0815 Chinesisch. Sehr nette Chefin, meistens serviert Sie Alleine, darum muss man auch etwas warten, aber es lohnt sich.

Wir suchten an diesem Montagabend einen guten Chinesen. Per Zufall stiessen wir auf dieses Restaurant. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen wirklich gut. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste und das war der Qualität nicht gerecht. Hier kommen wir gerne wieder hin.

Wir waren mit den Kindern, was ein Fehler war, da die Kids Hunger haben und das gefühlte ewige warten aufs Essen die Stimmung am Tisch nicht hebt... Das Essen selbst ist frisch und sehr lecker, die Preise gehören aber in die Stadt, nicht aufs Land.

Wir kennen dieses kleine Restaurant seit Jahren und lassen uns als Gäste aber auch als Kunden im Catering verwöhnen. Die beiden machen es einfach absolut super. Gute Leistung muss Geduld haben, das muss man den beiden zu Gute haben und man wird dafür belohnt. Wer nur auf schnell, schnell einen "Quicky" haben will, dem ist empfohlen einen der vielen mittelmässigen Chinesen in Uster etc. aufzusuchen.

wir hatten schon zweimal Essen vom Jade Garden bestellt. Sie liefern zwar nicht nach hause, aber man kann es auf einen Zeitpunkt bestellen und vor Ort abholen. Das Schweinefleisch an Orangensauce ist super! Auch das Poulet Sweet and Sour ist sehr gut. Ich kann das Jade Garden nur empfehlen.

Best Chinese restaurant in switzerland

Waren noch nie enttäuscht, alle Gerichte top frisch und schmackhaft, von mild bis scharf, alles dabei. Familienbetrieb. Einziger Nachteil: lange Wartezeiten, aber es lohnt sich.
