Not great if you get coffee from a fully automatic machine in a coffee roastery. The coffee isn't bad, but the experience would be considerably better if the coffee was made by a portafilter machine. This is an update to my earlier review. Things change. Friendly and warm service. Great coffee. The service lady did provide a disposable bowl of water for my fury friend but didn't appear to have anything for dog specifically. They have nice clean corner for young children. Dog-tollerant

Great range of coffees and super ambience in the loft / warehouse style café within the renovated Seehallen at Horgen. Lovely warm, fresh baked croissants although it’s a shame they stopped the breakfast. Nice to watch them prepare the coffee bean bags to go in the warehouse which adds to the atmosphere. Nice children’s play area too with a good range of toys for the kids.

They really simplified their menu, I miss the breakfast they used to have with rosti and eggs. Even now when I’ve come around 12pm they are out of some food options when they already have only a select variety which is very minimal. I still enjoy the kids area though so I will continue to come I just hope they will expand their menu in the future.

At the moment the offering is very small, premade bakery items and no eggs Benedict etc. When we ordered, timings weren’t right either, some of us got the food fairly quick and the rest came out with big gaps in between. Atmosphere is very nice but the waitresses were pretty rude to us and gave us attitude. Furthermore it took them crazy long to make three pancakes, we didn't pay attention to the time but it took very long. They also ended up serving food to people that arrived 15 min after us and served one person at our table while the rest of us waited at least 20 min until we got our pancakes. As for the food. Well we had high expectations due to the photos posted on here, what we recieved was dry, spongy, less than mediocre pancakes, which looked pretty sad to be honest. The coffe drinks also weren't all to great. It seems the menu has been completely changed and they don't anymore offer the brunch menu but only an option of sanwhiches and pancakes. All in all very disappointed and not going back.

i wouldnt recommend going there. the waitresd was really arrogant & was annoyed anytime we asked for something. as for the food we were 3 people & they brought food for one if us & the others had to wait 20 min or so for the food. the waitress was making the sandwiches for the place while eating & she even said she was tired of the job & that it would be better if the guests dis their own dishes so she had less to do. Went to the roastery last week and ate pancakes and drank coffee. Unfortunately, the service staff is mostly very lazy and forgets a lot of things when ordering. The sole reason I'm giving it a 3 star review is because the brunch food over here WAS really good. They've changed the menu recently and it's a huge downgrade. The menu now consists of premade food and its much smaller. Their specialty is coffee hence the name: Kaffeerösterei, but I can't say nuch about it because i dont like coffee. Overall, i found it sort of dissapointing.

Coffee is disappointingly not very good. I've bought their beans before and I can get a better brew from them at home. They have a sort of one button type machine which makes an Americano by flushing loads of water through the coffee. On the beans, all seem to be quite dark roast, and not great for filter. If you're in the building and really need coffee then it's fine, but I wouldn't travel or of my way to go here.

In Horgen there is a roastery not far from the lake with a beautiful view. If you're worried about being tired, it's a consolation for you. The cashier is so honest and sincere, she gives you essential items that you love very much. They were kind to me and gave me a nice meal, so I escaped from work and am now writing this little poem.

But something most amazing that I have never seen anywhere in the world (and I have been to many roasters): a fully automatic machine is used to make coffee. An absolute no-go! We were in the Horgen hall yesterday (April 8, 2022) and had reserved a birthday brunch for seven people. When we arrived we didn't know how the local system worked, wait until a service came or self-service?? At some point after a long wait we went to the checkout and were able to order and pay for the food.
