Kafi Dihei in Zürich

The waitress was too unfriendly. She only served me food after my friends at the table had finished. She also said we only have 1 hour to leave the table even though we made a reservation. In the future I will spend my money somewhere else and not in such an unpleasant, bitter shop.

Came here to enjoy the nice weather today a cake, coffee and just chilling. It is very nice interior and a good mixed atmosphere

The food is amazing, could be American with all the pancakes and Nagels. Could be Swiss with that great müesli and bread. Really cozy. Feels like home at grandmas, with your favourite cousins serving. Very familiar. It is a place you will leave content in body and soul.

Very nice. I recommend the bagel with salmon and with scrambled eggs as side. The brioche is not worth the money.

Cozy café with a great breakfast menu. I thought the portions were good and everything tasted really good. We were lucky and got the last 2 places... unfortunately it's not that big and therefore fills up quickly. I was worried that it would take longer to order, but no, we received our breakfast quickly despite the rush.

Good selection of brunch sets, food and drinks. Service is very friendly and informal. Recommend the brownie and turmeric latte.

We had the vegan breakfast here. The paprika spread is particularly recommended here. The waitresses were all super friendly. You can also make yourself very comfortable outside with blankets.

We had to wait in front of the restaurant for some time until we were allowed entry. In the café we were promptly taken by surprise by the volume and the density of people. The room was definitely too small for so many people. However, we were served friendly and quickly by several servers. The food came quickly and made my mouth water. I also have to mention that the prices were very affordable for the usual steep Zurich standard. If larger crowds and loud conversations aren't a problem for you, I can definitely recommend Kafi Dihei. The food was super tasty and the prices were very fair.

Great breakfast & brunch spot, cheesecake pancakes are top-notch! Very small space, make sure to arrive early in the morning, otherwise there is a long wait in order to be seated.

Café with a living room atmosphere. Were here on a Sunday afternoon. The coffee shop was almost full, but we received a friendly welcome and were able to sit down in a corner of the sofa - there were already people there, but it was okay for both sides to sit down (the others were only there for about 5 minutes). . Coffee (Cappuccino Dihei) was very tasty. My friend ordered a carrot-cardamom-cinnamon cake for us - this was also excellent, not too sweet and very juicy. The service was friendly, but you could tell that it was probably a somewhat stressful day (not in a negative way, we're all human beings).

This place gives you the feeling of a grandmother's lovely corner with a hipster touch and a good smell of coffee. Whenever I am there I see people having great chats, individuals reading or writing. I had a raspberry cheesecake and an espresso. The base of the raspberry cheesecake was a bit too thick. As they say 80 percent of what we eat pleases us through what we see and this happens in Kafi Dihei definitely.

I came to have breakfast here today because it is a very popular place and it was also close to the hotel. So I have a pumpkin latte and eat a cheesecake with jam and a banana and apple cake. So banana and Apple was a bit dry but in the end it was good, the other was also good but after a while it started to be a bit boring, perhaps because it was very sweet. Very very nice place, slightly vintage style and very nice and friendly staff

The food is worth the money. Simply delicious. However, the restaurant is very small and loud. The tables are very deep. Not suitable for tall people or chubby people.

The pictures speak for themselves. It's been a long time since I had this good brunch and the service was a treasure. We received all the toppings separately so that everyone could take as much as they liked and we could take any leftovers with us. Please definitely try the porridge, it was the first in my life that didn't taste boring 😍

Overall a nice place with some clear disadvantages. The good: Tasty food, friendly, albeit seemingly quite stressed staff, some good vegan options, and short waiting times for the food and drinks. The bad: We had to wait for about 30 minutes to be seated. We had to share a large table with strangers. The place is very noisy and crowded. There is not much space between the tables, so we had to get up multiple times to let people pass by. Not at all a place were we felt comfortable and wanted to stay for a bit longer. Probably way better during summer when you can sit outside.

I went to Kafi Dihei for the first time today, it was really like Dihei. The breakfast, everything fresh, from bread to confit, orange juice, simply top quality. The service with the young women gets 6 stars, so friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere in the Kafi, very cozy and lovingly selected. Thank you.

A very cute place, went there for breakfast and ended up being full for long after lunch time. Had the Speck Omlette which was very good, especially liked the contradiction between the sweetness of the onion jam and the bitterness of the spinach. It was a Saturday morning and there were available seats oy outside. Luckily, they provide blankets to keep us warm. Service was efficient and friendly. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the prices are rather high for a neighbourhood café, in my opinion.

From the moment we entered Kafi Dihei, we felt like we were visiting my grandmother - an atmosphere characterized by coziness and homeliness. For chocolate lovers, the chocolate mélange (also available with marshmellos) is an absolute must and the scrambled eggs are simply delicious. Every detail shows a deep passion for quality and taste. I also have to highlight the extremely friendly service, which makes a visit to Kafi Dihei a completely successful experience. The thoughtful concept of the café is reflected in every detail and contributes to the warm and inviting atmosphere. A little tip at the end: Kafi Dihei is rightly very popular, so I recommend reserving seats in advance. The size of the café is manageable, which only adds to the charm. Conclusion: A wonderful jewel in the café landscape that you should definitely visit!

I have never eaten such good pancakes in my entire life... The cheesecake cream mixed with this red fruit coulis, the perfect cooking of the pancake made a myriad of colors dance on my taste buds. The salmon bagel also very good, let's say standard for a good brunch. The drinks were also good. The atmosphere is family and trendy in a small, quiet residential area. A victim of its success, expect to queue for just a few minutes. There is no reservation possible. The service is correct, polite waiters nothing more. Although I couldn't taste it due to a lack of 2nd stomach, the cakes in the window looked scrumptious. In short, I recommend +++, especially the pancake which is to die for.

Great little "homey" restaurant with home-made dishes. We've been coming here for years for the delicious quiche. You can't find many "trustworthy quality and affordable" restaurants these days. Kafi Dihei is affordable, offers good quality and has a charming ambience.

Nutella French toast was incredible, bagel with smoke salmon was great, coffee was excellent.

Nice discovery! Very pretty terrace where it is pleasant to have brunch. The drinks offered are very good, we had a hot chocolate and a cold chocolate as well as 2 vegetarian bagels. These were very good. Hearty plate and pretty Mediterranean flavors.

I have visited Kafi Dihei today with a friend for brunch, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. Upon arrival, we were excited to try out the restaurant's highly recommended brunch menu. However, our excitement quickly turned into frustration when our order was forgotten, leading to a lengthy wait of one hour. Despite our patience, the delay became increasingly unacceptable, as other diners who arrived after us were served promptly. Disappointed and hungry, my friend and I made the difficult decision to leave the restaurant without having our brunch. It was truly disheartening to have our plans for a satisfying meal dashed by such a basic oversight. In an attempt to make amends, the restaurant offered us complimentary drinks. While this gesture was appreciated, it fell short of compensating for the lost time and the disappointment we experienced. I understand that mistakes happen, and it's the way they are handled that truly matters. In this case, the lack of timeliness and the oversight in forgetting our order left a lasting negative impression on our visit. I hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issues that led to our disappointing experience. While I appreciate the complimentary drinks offered as compensation, it would be more appropriate to ensure that such mistakes are minimized in the future, as it greatly affects the overall experience. I hope my feedback helps both the restaurant management and potential customers in making informed decisions.

What a Disappointing Experience: I visited this place with high expectations, hoping to enjoy a delightful brunch. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory due to the restaurant's exceptionally poor service and an unreasonably long waiting time. The waiting time for our food was utterly unacceptable. We waited an exorbitant amount of time, watching other tables, who arrived after us, receive their orders while we sat hungry and increasingly frustrated. The lack of communication from the staff regarding the delay only added to our disappointment. After one hour of waiting and asking twice for our order, we just left.

I waited for around 15-20 minutes just to get my order. Then they forgot about a part of the order. Then, after eating, I got my laptop out to do some work and they told me that on the weekends it's not allowed to use laptops. The waiters were really nice, I think they are just severely understaffed.

Great place for brunch in Zurich. We were lucky because we found a table in the terrace for 6 pax when we arrived but us salt is very crowded so go with time. The staff very kind and profesional. The food big portions/ good quality price. Fully recommend the place and I will be back

Beautiful neighborhood cafe restaurant

We were regular guests at Kafi Dihei because the pancakes were good. It has now happened twice that these were in the pan for a little too long and the bacon was not only crispy but completely burnt. (Even though I mentioned this, I was served charred strips of bacon twice) My child spilled the freshly squeezed orange juice, which was annoying enough, so a new one was brought to me. I would have expected that this would not be charged or partially charged. Service etc. Oh well…

i come here pretty often for a weekend brunch, the food and service are really nice! taking away one star because sometimes they sit 2 groups of 2 together at the same table for 4 and it can gen uncomfortable sometimes. but can totally recommend otherwise!❣️

The best coffee and everything was great! I asked for iced coffee and they made Shakerato. Before the sip, the rich scent of coffee flowed into me and smooth crema swirled around my tongue. I could feel they use the fresh coffee beans. Orange juice was also freshly squeezed and perfectly sweet. Bruches were of course good and I really liked the combination of raspberry and cream and pancake! Definitely want to revisit.

We had to queue for about 10 minutes, which was okay. They do not take reservations. We went for brunch. The place was packed inside. Loads of crying children and barely space for yourself. They were sitting strangers with one another at the same tables, which led to decreased privacy. We waited for 20 minutes for the waitress to approach us. We didn’t even get water all this time. Only then she asked if we would like English menus. We managed with German, but I found it ridiculous. The food was really good though. I didn’t feel relaxed when eating due to overcrowding, but I cannot complain about the dishes they served. The decor inside is also super cosy and nice. I really wish they would just stop trying to squeeze so many people in there. The experience would be much better then.

We went to Kafi Dihei for breakfast on Sunday morning and we really enjoyed it. The location is pretty cool and quaint, there is a really delicious breakfast (great selection of mueslis, bagles, hangover breakfast, fitness breakfast, etc. and you can put everything together yourself if you want) and the service is also fast and super nice. In any case it was excellent. Everything outside was full even though the temperatures weren't really warm and pleasant. That speaks for the cafe. I'll definitely come back

Wonderful brunch spot in a cute little neighborhood cafe. We had the waffles with bacon and ricotta and the salmon lox bagel that comes with scrambled eggs and salad. The bacon was perfectly crunchy. Together with two cappuccinos it came about to 70 CHF. Would definitely return!
