Very tasty food. On Monday afternoon we were practically alone. Very quiet atmosphere, right by the jetty. We had cold plates and were very satisfied. The tiramisu was super tasty.

Great place by the Brissago debarcadero. Owner is super friendly and personnel very attentive. Food is very tasty and the wine list is huge. Dishes are reasonably priced, what is expensive is mainly the wine. All in all, a must experience.

The location of the restaurant "Kalea" in Brissago is simply unbeatable. The choice of food in the Kalea restaurant is varied (aperitoire options, classic pasta and risotto dishes, fish and meat, some curries) and offers a good selection of regional and seasonal ingredients. Not only did I feel like I was being treated to culinary delights, but I was also being looked after. On hot days, marquises and cooling elements ensure more pleasant temperatures. All in all, I can highly recommend the restaurant "Kalea". It is the perfect place to escape from everyday life, enjoy the atmosphere on Lake Maggiore, watch the hustle and bustle on the beautiful promenade in Brissago and experience culinary delicacies in a cozy atmosphere. We will definitely come back.

The service staff is very friendly and competent. Food came quickly and was exceptionally tasty, be it the prawns, pasta, risotto or even the burger, everything was great. The view of the lake is also very beautiful. We can only recommend the Kalea.

I give 2 stars for the location. The pasta with black and dry truffle turned out to be tasteless, however, like the ravioli. And these two pasta dishes and a bottle of water cost 78 Swiss francs. It's a shame . When the food is delicious, there is no shame in paying a high price. But when the dishes are not tasty, then a complete disappointment.

If you enjoy visiting the same restaurant over and over again, it's probably justified if you give another good recommendation about it years later. After all these years, the Kalea has lost none of its appeal, charm and enjoyment, despite the diverse demands and expectations of its customers. Despite being one of the few places to eat in Brissago, they really strive to be amazing! Had some of the best spaghetti here. Expensive but worth it.

At the beginning we received a greeting from the kitchen. The food was very good, but the selection wasn't particularly large. Despite the restaurant being full, we were served very friendly and always quickly. You can enjoy the beautiful view here, surrounded by the German language.

A wonderful experience with a stunning view. However it was so good that we came back the next two days and sadly the daily special remained the same old sea bream and the starter also never changed. Over all a great experience though!

Very disappointing at the end of our vacation. The aperitif and the starter went very quickly, then there was an eternal wait for our main course. not very cool with children who had their main course with our starter 🙄 The wine didn't come for ages and when we said this, we didn't even know what we had ordered. After more than an hour we finally received the main course. We had completely missed the dessert and wanted to pay I think the boss himself came and cleared the plates and asked if everything was okay? I just said it was ok, but it was quite a long wait. The boss's reaction was zero... I work in the service sector myself and a sorry is a sorry and would have been the minimum. Certainly our first and last visit, although the location is great!

Very nice restaurant right on the lake with a fantastic view. The pasta dishes are a delight: tagliatelle with truffle, spaghetti vongole and ravioli. Perfectly cooked al dente. Service very nice and attentive. Desserts are also very tasty. We ate there twice during our vacation and will definitely come back.

Perfect from A to Z. We sat outside, first enjoyed the lounge and then a very, very nice meal at the table. We have never eaten such fine bruscetta. We consider this restaurant to be the perfect tip for anyone who wants to enjoy fine cuisine right by the lake in summer.

The food was good but the service was not welcoming and felt like we were being rushed Barely sat down and we were being asked about apero and while my friend was still eating, our plates were being cleared and we were being asked about desert. Staff does not seem happy/ seem stressed. Too bad the service is not as good as the food Does not make it inviting to go again.

ordered 2 scoops of ice cream with 2 different flavours. I ate the first ball (which was on top) and arrived at the second one... I notice that it was caramel instead of nuts as ordered... I point this out to the waitress and tell her not to put it on my account... 2 min. then the "chef" arrives and instead of receiving an apology... Zu dieser touristisch ruhigen Zeit (Mitte November) immer wieder ein angenehmer Anlaufpunkt für ein nachmittägliches Sonnenbad zusammen mit entsprechender Getränke. Inhaber und Serviceangestellte immer sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend.

Das Kalea können wir nur weiterempfehlen.... perfek freundliche Bedienung, trotz sehr vollem Lokal. Die Tagliatelle mit weissem Trüffel waren teuer, aber den Preis waren sie mehr wie wert... die waren himmlisch.... noch nie (und ich war schon in sehr vielen Restaurants auf der ganzen Welt) hatt ich solche Truffel Pasta... auch die Tagliata war perfekt zubereitet... wir kommen so bald wie möglich wieder...

Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und auch über den ganzen Abend sehr nett bedient. Service also top!2 Aperos auch tip top!l‘amuse geule - ein Streifen geräucherte Entenbrust auf Kohlrabi Coulis - war überraschend und ausgezeichnet!Wir wählten auf mündliche Empfehlung als Vorspeise die Tagliatelle mit weissen Trüffeln. Diese waren sehr gut, aber nicht viele Trüffeln. Für CHF 55.— pro Vorspeise ohne Vorankündigung und auch ohne Hobeln am Tisch eher teuer.Als Secondo wählten wir die Tagliata. Die Erste war geschmacklich und stofflich Top, leider aber weniger als lauwarm. Wir baten um eine heissere Variante. Diese kam auch nach 20Minuten, war wiederum schön präsentiert, 2-3 Grad wärmer aber diesmal eher zäh. Damit durchgefallen und enttäuschend - und zwar bei beiden Tellern.Die Weinauswahl ist top, preislich aber - selbst für Zürcher Verhältnisse - am obersten Ende. Gar nicht zu vergleichen mit den Preisen im nahen Italien.Wir wählten einen PSI 2016 für CHF 92.— und der war top. Für mich das beste P/L Verhältnis auf der Karte. Leider aber leer bis die Tagliata wieder kam. Der Wirt gab uns ein Glas Roda Reserva aus, damit die Tagliata nicht trocken ging, und der war auch sehr gut.Die Desserkarte ist einfallslos und baut im Wesentlichen auf der Glace/Coupekarte für den Nachmittag auf. Ein kleines, preiswertes Mousse au Chocolate war fein, der Le Colonel zu gross als Nachtisch für Dinner.Alles in allem CHF 320.— für zwei Personen mit einem irgendwie unzufriedenen Nachgeschmack trotz dem netten Team....

Tolles Lokal, höher in der Preisklasse aber das Produkt stimmt.
