Kanchi in Baden

Overall it was a great evening that you don't have every day; We were even able to get to the table 5 minutes before reservation. The food was very good and the price-performance ratio was also right. The only thing I complain about is that the staff couldn't speak German... and that's in Switzerland 😕

Just wow. Our regular restaurant when it's someone's birthday. The service was very accommodating and extremely friendly from start to finish. The atmosphere is very cozy. When it comes to food, I just say brilliant. Everything was very delicious and very good portions. The different beers are also very tasty. Especially the surprise at the end when it's your birthday is very sweet. Price/performance is top. I always enjoy coming back.

It's nice when you come in and the smells of India are right in front of your feet. Lunch buffet was delicious 👍

Friendly service. A bit of a strange atmosphere for an Indian restaurant, because the place is a former pizzeria, and it shows! But not unpleasant at all. On the other hand, I had a masala curry which tasted good, but was incredibly oily. The meat was literally floating in fat. Damage.

Excellent India food and hospitality. Had delicious lamb chettinad, kadhai paneer and daal makhni with naans. Everything was perfect! Kudos to the team for excellent service.

Best Indian restaurant I've ever tried. The service is slow but gives you plenty of time to enjoy the space and the smells before the dishes arrive. They have a nice list of really good alcoholic and non-alcoholic fruit drinks, but I especially recommend the mango lassi as an accompaniment. Nothing to really say about the food, delicious, freshly prepared and served with attention. I hope to return soon to sample the thousands of other things on the menu.

My sister-in-law celebrated her 30th birthday at Kanchi Restaurant. It was great service and she discussed the menus with the restaurant owner in advance and made an advance order. The food was amazing, everything was well prepared and prepared as discussed. We would recommend everyone to have a birthday party at Kanchi Restaurant.🤩👌🏽

Kanchi is absolutely perfect Indian restaurant in Baden. Food quality, Service and ambience all are really good. Whether its normal Dinner with Family or friends, or Birthday Party, I really enjoyed every occasion. Last week we had Birthday Party of my daughter at Kanchi restaurant and it was really a excellent experience. Ramesh and his team arranged everything perfectly and promptly. Thank you Kanchi for making the Party wonderful.

We had reserved a table and showed up a bit early. Service was great, but continued to slow down significantly as the restaurant got fuller. Sadly, we could barely get the attention of waiters as they were running from table to table. After asking for the bill we waited 20 min before asking for the bill repeatedly until we could finally pay and leave almost another 20min later. We sincerely hope this was the exception or just a bad evening. The staff remained incredibly friendly and the restaurant was packed, so I can forgive this misstep. The atmosphere is cozy and cute. Decorations are tasteful and not overdone. I would suggest for the restaurant to invest into some sound treatment on the ceiling as it did get very loud on that packed evening. Exceptionally well done was the distance between tables. At no point did it ever feel like our space was invaded by other guests and there was plenty of room. To get to the best part: The food was delicious. There's no other way to say it. Perfectly balanced and beautifully prepared dishes. If for no other reason but the food, I will always recommend this restaurant. Sadly we weren't offered to change the spice level when ordering the dishes, but I was happy to see the intended spiciness be distinct for each dish and be more than enough for swiss customers. Tldr: Great food! Try it. :)

Kanchi is an absolute gem of a restaurant with authentic Indian food. Ram and the team make it a great experience with quality service, going the extra mile to accomodate special requests. The menu is very diverse, offering an option for every taste and the staff is at hand to make recommendations.

Food was good and atmosphere was also good. You had nice Indian music in the background. I highly recommend the Mango Lassi. Even though the food was delicious we had to wait more than 1 hour and that on a NORMAL TUESDAY. So bring time with you if you come here.

I've eaten here twice and both times were great. The food is super tasty, the staff (unfortunately they can only speak English, not a problem for me) were very friendly, everything was served quickly and the prices are absolutely right. I will definitely eat there again.

The food is great as always, definitely worth trying the Tandoori Chicken and the non vegi Thali. The only problem is the slightly slow service, with a little girl we waited almost an hour between starters and main course.

A nice Indian restaurant with a decent atmosphere. It is a kids and pet friendly restaurant. The food was good, but I did not feel the wow factor. It's a value for money restaurant, if you're going in a group, else you'll find the costs on the pricier side.

Super delicious food, very good Indian cuisine! Everyone is very friendly (but only speaks English). Reservations are recommended, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings. Reservations requests are responded to quickly. Is also recommended for take away! At lunchtime there is a great buffet, so you can try out different dishes as you please!

The Kanchi in Baden is a very good Indian restaurant with very friendly and prompt service. The food tastes authentic and the portions are a pleasant size. But in my opinion a little too expensive. All in all, a place to recommend.

I was looking for an authentic Indian restaurant for familiar flavours - and found it in Kanchi. Lovely ambience, warm staff and satisfying food. Whether you're looking for those spices that remind you of home (like me) or you're new to this cuisine - I highly recommend Kanchi.

Very good food and service. The furnishings could be adjusted, they are more like an Italian restaurant, but otherwise I can only recommend the restaurant.

Fine food, nice service. The facility could do more with it (former pizzeria in Andalusia style). Especially when it comes to lighting. However, the price is too high for the bid. Therefore “only” 4 stars. But it's definitely best to go there yourself and form your own opinion. It's definitely delicious.

Chicken Jalfrezi (31.-) Chicken cooked with peppers and onions in a seasoned Tomato sauce. I would order again at any time! The service doesn't speak German, if you don't understand English it will be difficult to ask questions.

Great restaurant serving authentic Indian food!

After our diploma ceremony, we were in the restaurant with a group of nine people. Despite the delay, there were no negative consequences and the entire team gave us a warm welcome. That evening we were served by an extremely charming gentleman named Amal. He had no problems taking care of nine sometimes chaotic, loud and hungry people. He even had to briefly take on the role of photographer to take a group photo of us. There is nothing to add about the dishes, they were simply sensational! Finally we were even surprised with a very delicious cake. A big thank you to Amal and the entire team!

Very good food and drinks! Ordered the second menu including starters and a dessert. Food and drinks were served with just the right frequency by polite and attentive staff. The restaurant started to fill up with guests considerably towards 7 pm. For more than two people a reservation is therefore recommended. There's enough background noise to keep conversations private. Good atmosphere, will visit again. In case you're unfamiliar with Indian food, just order one of the menus and you'll get a lot of different items to try.

Authentic Indian cuisine in a cool location! The service mostly speaks English, which isn't a problem for me - after all, I speak Butter Chicken & Garlic Naan fluently 😜 The food was delicious but if they say it's spicy with 3 chilies, they could easily add a dash of spiciness. The bottle of water was a bit expensive, maybe they accidentally served Indian spring water? If I end up in Baden again, I will definitely stop by again. All in all a Bollywood dance for my taste buds, thank you!

Exelent food for dinner in a group of elven. Staff was super friendly. They even decorated the tabel for the occasion of the birthday dinner. I can recomand to visit and give it a try.

One of the best restaurants in Baden. Good service, very, very fine food and a very pleasant volume so you don't have to shout. I can recommend everything from the menu; the mango lassi is really great.

Ramesh provided us with great catering. On time, efficient and very tasty. Taking back the equipment was also very uncomplicated.

A very nice restaurant (from the inside). Relatively quiet with a nice atmosphere. The food is very good with many vegetarian alternatives. A bit inconspicuous from the outside. Unfortunately, the waiters didn't speak German very well, but we were able to have a good conversation with English.

Authentic India Restaurant in Baden. Food is delicious and prompt service. If you wish to try all varieties of food, go for Veg Thali or Non veg Thali. Which includes 2-3 curried, rice , sweet, bread and few additional things. You will find Authentic Indian dishes like, Butter chicken, paneer, Naan, Daal, chicken 65, Chaat, Samosa, Pakora. And for lunch , this place has Buffe with reasonable price. ENJOY 😉

Very good inidan restaurant. Went there several times already and the food is delicious. Many indian dishes to chose from. On the weekend you want to book a table as it gets busy.

Very good and authentic Italian food!

We wanted to eat a lamb curry & meat was fresh and tender which is not always the case in other indian restaurants we have been too. Taste was great, authentic indian food. Ramesh the manager was very friendly, made great food suggestions and was pleasant to talk to. we arrived late (21:30) but that was no problem. We have been in Kanchi in Luzern but the one in Baden is much better. We will be back.

We have visited Kanchi many times, this is not only the best curry house in Baden by a very long way, but probably the best restaurant we have been to. The food is delicious, excellent starters (particularly the prawn pakoras and the lamb pepper fry). The mains are delicious too, both meat and in particular for me the vegetarian curries such as aubergine curry or Aloo Gobi which I had last night. The service is also excellent, by far the friendliest staff who always make us feel welcome. Superb - don’t miss!

Finally, a high quality menu that is diverse! It is a very exciting place to eat in Baden. My husband and I went last night for dinner for the first time. The staff were the best I have experienced so far in Switzerland. Friendly, competent and knew information about the food they were serving. The cocktails were fantastic and the food was exceptional. It was clear that staples such as the naan bread were freshly made on site. The curry sauces were the highlight of my evening, we choose a chicken and lamb main course. Both were amazing, you can taste that the sauce is freshly made to order. If I had one wish it would be that the music was a little louder to create a little bit more of a romantic atmosphere. We will be back soon! A MUST if you are local. Great value too, with no compromise on the quality.
