While looking for a restaurant where we could have lunch we came across this restaurant, a fairly "reserved" place but it was also super crowded! We were "kidnapped" by the excellent aromas that came out of it. I can say absolutely without exaggeration.. one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted. really excellent. All the staff were really kind and super polite. I hope to be able to return once again. For dessert I had a Sicilian Cannoli and the dessert also continued the excellent work done by the pizza, absolutely not lowering the rating! Super super super recommended!!!

Great experience at Le Karne, the cuisine and service are impeccable, the atmosphere is peaceful and perfect for a dinner. (I highly recommend the cannolo siciliano and the orrechiette al pesto.)

Located in the old town of Geneva, Le Karne is an excellent place to try italian cuisine. The decoration and lighting create a fascinating and warm atmosphere that adds to the experience. The staff is one of the friendliest and nicest staff I've seen in Geneva. Their smile and attitude are out of this world and make you leave the restaurant with the same smile. And the most important, the food. Every dish we tasted was amazing and was full of diverse flavours. It even challenged some good restaurants I've been to in Italy. So in résumé, this restaurant outshines most of the italian restaurants in Geneva and is a must if you want to try some delicious italian cuisine, all with a warm and enjoyable atmosphere.

Always good service, the pizzas are great and I also love the pesto orechiette and truffle fagottini. In summer the terrace is very pleasant. I recommend this restaurant!

Very cool! it's owned by Italian people, I ate a delicious hamburger with hand-cut potatoes, excellent service, staff very careful to the clients' needs! The price is in line with the quality of the served food.

Very good pizza! The servers were friendly and offered to change an ingredient in the pizza according to my request. Disappointed that the carafe of water is charged despite having already had a drink and eaten.

This evening the service was not great. We had to call the server several times for forgotten orders.

It was a good place , but not anymore . The quality went down so much , sad to see a good place falling down . Update 2023-07-21 , our pizzas are burned . And they didn’t bring new ones. The server said it’s their policy they could not make new ones . And he has really bad attitude. We tried to cut the burned part from the bottom , but the burned smell went through the entire pizza , you only have burned smell in you mouth , nothing else . We told them we could not eat it , especial one pizza it’s completely burned . The wait said sorry , they could not do anything . Bad service attitude is beyond ridiculous

Probably the most beautiful terrace in Geneva. Delicious food. The cooking of the sea bream was perfect, the pasta al dente as it should be.

We had a pleasant evening thanks to the outdoor dining area in one of geneva hidden squares, in the old city. The staff tried its best to serve everyone, but they clearly missed a couple of waiters. Food is overall good and at a fair price considering the location. Recommending the pizzas or the pasta alike. Appetizers: would not suggest the Arancini. Better the parmigiana or the caponata. Dessert: very good Tiramisu, made according to the traditional recipe - not so much for the Cannoli.

I got food poisoning and indigestion after eating the “pasta alla norma”. Few hours after the meal I started to have stomach cramps and indigestion symptoms. Moreover the food quality is rather low. My pasta was overcooked, tomato sauce was acidic. The service is not professional: I asked for sparkling water but they brought still.

The quality has unfortunately dropped significantly. It was one of my favorite restaurants for many years in Geneva but I was unfortunately really disappointed to see that it was no longer the same. - Polpette and parmigiana arrived barely warm. - The fritti ricotta e caponata have been reduced by at least half and are no longer as good. - The service and set-up left something to be desired. Really a shame because the place is adorable and the food was delicious. I hope they get their act together...

Everything we offered was delicious. We ordered pasta, parmigiana, grilled sea bass and tiramisu as dessert. Sea bass was really cooked well. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Delicious pasta but too small quantity. 33CHF for around fifteen pasta and 8 small squid is a bit expensive, especially since the small carafe of water costs 4.50CHF!

Superb restaurant hidden in the old town of Geneva! You could say that these are simple pasta for 30 chf but in reality they are certainly the best pasta I have ever eaten. The service was top notch. The only downside is the price of the carafe of water at 4.50 Chf (price justified by water filtration but which seems a little grotesque) I nevertheless recommend!

An Italian restaurant in the heart of the old town of Geneva. I haven't had the chance to try their pizzas yet but regarding the pasta and burgers, nothing to complain about. Fresh, processed, well-cooked products, which give very good flavors. I recommend you for a successful evening as a couple or with friends, because the place is very cozy and pleasant.

Overall good experience but the service was not good enough. Bringing food (pizza margherita) for one person while other four people in the group already done with their meal was not a good idea at all.

An Italian and Sicilian place where you eat very well. I had a slice of beef with various vegetables and flakes of parmesan. Really very good. I recommend "Le Karne Genève" if you come to Geneva. Put this restaurant on your favorites list. It's a little expensive. The portions are not abundant. I advise you to always pay by card as they do not take into account the euro/Swiss franc exchange rate.

Excellent Italian cuisine with good fresh products directly from Italy! It’s very simple, it feels like we’re in Italy, it’s so delicious 🤩 Very pleasant service, friendly setting, nice terrace, we were with our 2 year old who also loved her pizza!! Strongly recommended

I went here for dinner while travelling on a business occasion. The service was friendly and fast. My Quattro Formaggi was outstanding, differently made compared to how I usually know it. I felt the atmosphere in the court was nice, away from the busier streets, creating a relaxed athmosphere. Distracted from My tasty dinner, I left my jacket with my keys and purse in the restaurant. The team went through great lengths to figure out how to reach me (I don’t carry business cards), sent me an email, and refused to accept any tinder fee when I came to pick up my jacket the day after. The waiter just kindly said “It happens to me, too, and I am always glad, when someone takes care of my things. Please check everything, but we took good care of it so nothing should be missing.” Indeed, nothing was missing and I felt a little less embarrassed after this. All in all a great experience and a highly recommendable place.

Toilets very dirty according to my work colleague. My pizza was burnt on the bottom. Too much dough, too much crust. The dough is tasty but made from dark flour. The prices are a bit too high.

Insignificant quantities for the price. I took a “Melanzane parmigiana” in a “large portion” for 28.- and it was my surprise to receive a child-sized plate. I called the waitress back and she said it was a large portion, but who are we kidding? It's not 2-3 more eggplants with a little tomato sauce that cost a lot of raw materials in any case. Then a “Rigatoni all norma” for 26.-, good but the same, small portion for the price. Clearly poor value for money, I won't go back there again, that's for sure. There are much better Italian restaurants in Geneva.

Tucked away in a little corner, I came only bc I got lost and was really hungry but was not disappointed one bit. Although it was VERY busy, the staff made sure that I was well taken care of and regularly checked in on me and fulfilled my requests with great attitude and a big smile (unlike a lot of other places when they are busy!!) Also was attentive that I was done w my main and brought dessert after I was done (without asking), also made small talk (: (tiramisu was abit soggy but still overall okay….) Portion of food was good, prices reasonable for Geneva and wait time was also reasonable despite the restaurant being busy. Full marks (apart from the tiramisu) from me!

Good italian place for lunch. Staff not very efficient. Everything could be a notch better - you can tell that they are living a bit on reputation.

Although recommended by Genevans, despite a warm welcome and good service, I found the homemade "hamburger" very dry, instead of the bread an overcooked and hard pizza dough. No carafe of water but a bottle of "so-called filtered" water which is not opened in front of you, this could have been tap water, at 4frs... plus the prices of all the restaurants are very students. In short, I should have chosen a pizza that looked very good. Regrettably, it seems that in Geneva there are no Swiss restaurants but 95% Italian. Yes, part of Switzerland is Italian but this is too much!

I have had the pleasure of having lunch and dinner several times at Karne and this restaurant is truly a little Italian gem sheltered from the hubbub of the city center. In summer, the shaded terrace is very pleasant and the food is very good. The pasta is excellent and the pizzas are among the best I have had the chance to taste in Geneva (the dough is beautiful and yet so light). The products are of high quality and the staff are extremely helpful and kind! Truly a 5 star restaurant without hesitation and I will be going back there this week! Modification after having lunch at Kytaly this afternoon - the pizza at Karne is fluffier and I found it better! So Kytaly? The best pizza in the world? Not on not on! Edit at the beginning of May: refuses to serve tap water even though we are in Switzerland and we are lucky enough to have great water - I am immediately removing a star. Damage!

If you can’t go to Italy, it’s good to have Parma ham! The ham is not greasy, has a little salty taste, plus the fluffy dough and sesame leaves, the taste is super balanced! ▪️Fried squid The squid is very tender, which shows its freshness. With a little bit of flour on the surface, it has a crispy texture when you bite into it, which is great!

Saturday 26.02 7:30 p.m. - Very disappointed. Very good starters and generally pretty good food. Big downside on my Elephant Ear: too flattened, the impression of eating oil breading, really not great. Reduced wine list and overpriced prices for this restaurant: more than chf 400.- for a Sassicaia or an Ornellaia and chf 280 for a Tignanello...you have to stop, not here...). Sicilian cannolo, really not good gourmet coffee (especially the ricotta). Unprofessional service, slow, unfriendly, especially the server. Chf 4.- for a children's syrup (not with mineral water)..... Not enough fish cooked Italian style or rather Sicilian style on the menu... Dario's, in my memories, was much better... Personally I wouldn't go back there even if I had a 20 or 40% with the fork... Too bad the place is really charming and the terrace must be nice in the summer.

A beautiful discovery! Restaurant with entirely Italian staff, offering good traditional Italian dishes with some innovation. Elegant and welcoming environment in a beautiful corner of the old city of Geneva. Top pizzas, currently the chef comes from Franco Pepe's school, that's all I'll say. The service and other dishes were also good. We would need a few more options of wines by the glass. High prices, but on the other hand you are in the heart of one of the most expensive cities in the world. Recommended!

I didn't actually get to eat there. When I arrived for my reservation I asked for a table in the shade. There were 2-3 but they had glasses to clear, the waitress after letting me know she was unhappy about this told me I would have to wait 10 minutes. Not a problem. However after 25 mins of waiting and being made an example of by her I got bored and went to eat round the corner. No drink offered while I waited, no pleasantries.

Très bon bien servi, MAIS que des produits Italiens, pas de vins d'autres pays, les serveurs à 1 ou 2 exceptions parlent très mal le français, pas de menu enfant et cher.si on tient compte du prix des matières de base pour faire de la cuisine italienne même très cher. Très bel endroit dans ma vieilli ville.

Really nice location and very friendly service but unfortunately the food was average, I would even say tasteless unfortunately... We tried pizza and pasta and both seemed to have a boring taste.
