Kings Kebap in Bern

My colleague and I's Dürüm was rolled really badly and fell apart right from the start. We could have done it even better. The flatbread was cold and wasn't “baked” but rather “raw”. In terms of taste, it wasn't seasoned well either and we had the feeling that all the ingredients were just thrown together. The salespeople called us (everyone else too) “Habibi” the whole time, which was unnecessary… Otherwise the ambience on site was okay. According to my colleague “Like at the bazaar”.

I'm a tourist from Japan. I was looking for a cheap and highly rated store and found this place. The owner was cheerful, friendly, and very kind. I ordered Taschebrot. The price is 13 CHF and includes a drink. It had a lot of vegetables and was delicious.

Well… I went there because of the good reviews. The ambience is not really inviting to sit down and eat there, rather uncomfortable. It was very cold outside and the door was wide open. The kebab? Oh dear... it really wasn't good. Served at the table, I first looked for the meat, oh, there it is under what felt like 500g of salad. I thought it would be a vegetarian kebab :( The meat was totally tasteless and “fart” dry. The sauces, as is often the case here in Switzerland, are ready-made sauces. Very unfortunate I definitely can't recommend this kebab.

The kebab from the nearby restaurant was disappointing. Cold like it came from the fridge, too much salad in relation to the tasteless meat. Overall not a satisfactory experience.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Kings Kebap and my experience was truly outstanding. The quality of the kebab was first class - freshly prepared and incredibly tasty. The meat was juicy and perfectly seasoned, the vegetables were fresh and crunchy, and the sauces were simply delicious. Furthermore, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The atmosphere in the store was pleasant and inviting, which made my visit all the more enjoyable. Overall, I can fully recommend Kings Kebap. This kebab shop is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a first class kebab experience. I will definitely come again!

The food was great. With the lunch specials, it's a very good price for all of us students, and you also get a free drink. The kebab was very large and the service was very friendly and helpful. A must for every kebab/falafel lover to try. I would highly recommend it.

Since the change of ownership there has been an incredibly bad Dürüm with unfriendly service. Go to the Bistro Breiten further back on the street is great!

Unfortunately very bad experience. At first the food wasn't good. Everything cold, tiny Dürüm and more expensive price. The service was bad, the man behind the counter was annoyed and angry. It shows that they sell Pizza outside at the store, but they didnt have pizza and then i asked for døner beef kebab in a box. And then he gives me chicken after showing me the døner meat and i point at the meat. I didnt wanna argue so i took the chicken in box and left the place. The food was terrible !

The meat from the kebab was dry, overly seasoned and chopped into small pieces like pulled pork.

The kebab is very good, but it is the most expensive in Bern and there is very little meat in the pocket bread, they are getting smaller and smaller, so it's not possible

We came to eat at night at 22:00 because we were looking for a halal place (Written before 24:00). There was no hot tea. The atmosphere is cheap. They asked if it was halal, the chefs were not 100% sure. Alcoholic drinks are sold so if you are looking for a halal place, better look elsewhere.

The Kings Kebab is really very dirty and I was really disgusted! He only has this good rating thanks to the previous operator, who now has his restaurant one street further back. The old reviews must be deleted because they are not addressed to the “new” operator!

Small portion for expensive prices

Very unfriendly staff. I was insulted by them in Swiss German because they thought I wouldn't understand. Doner kebab is too expensive even for Swiss prices.

Never eaten such a bad dürüm. The flatbread wasn't even warmed and the meat was inedible and gristly and expensive! The staff really unsympathetic and unprofessional! Never again! A real disappointment!

I often ordered a Dürüm here. Was very good.

It is one of the nicest place in Bern. We loved the Pizza, we got the Sucuk one and Salami one! They are perfect. The Kebab is the real kabab so tasty and natural, potato fries are so good too. Now about the owner, he is the nicest, generous they gave us Tea, Baklawa to taste and they were the best. I would come again and again to Kings Kebap. Enjoy some of our pictures with them.

Very good pizza and delicious kebab. Everything very fresh, good meat and lots of sauces. Lots of selection, friendly service and friendly staff. Dessert was offered very generously.

I received a very friendly welcome and was surprised with lots of goodies. I can only recommend this store as it is my favorite store. The preparation with fresh ingredients gives the whole thing a fine finishing touch. I'm looking forward to further visits!

It's a huge joke what portion sizes they have there. In my pocket bread there were 4 pieces of meat and a little salad. 2 years ago it was the best kebab in Bern. Unfortunately it's no longer available and I can't recommend it either. What I can say is that the bistro is only 100m in the other direction Unfortunately, Breiten is closed on Sundays but they have the best kebab there... go there!!

The Dürüm weren't particularly big, just the price (CHF 12.5), which has recently been raised significantly. Quality of the Dürüm was good, but not outstanding. Nice service.

For a long time it was the best kebab in all of Bern, but now you can no longer enjoy it. The employees also do not adhere to the corona measures. They don't wear masks even when they cough. I won't go to Kings Kebap anymore. But I can recommend the Nordring take away at the Markuskirche bus stop to everyone.
