HORRIBLE person on counter. Was upset that we are taking pictures of place and menu when we were trying to convert swiss menu with translate app, even upon explaining and that we went toilet before we ordered coffee and when ordered coffee did not serve. Attitude was definitely racist so other thnic people please watch out. Such a beautiful country but sadly can have terrible folks like these too.

We came in and the guy in a mustache and glasses behind the counter was very rude to us. Your job as the employee is to bring in customers, you did the opposite, buddy. You should be fired, and if you’re the owner, then take some communication courses. Not happy with the service and don’t recommend to anyone! And read the way he replies to other people’s reviews. VERY unprofessional. Update: the owner commented on my review, accusing me of using his coffee shop as a waiting hall, but we came in for less than a minute. We immediately noticed his rude demeanor, and left as quickly as we could. The least he could do is get his story straight. On his website he says “In addition to our fresh specialties, we offer you a cozy atmosphere with a view of Lake Lucerne that invites you to linger.” Lies. All lies.

Self service, no card payment, not welcoming staff... i might just make a sandwich for myself at home next time...

Excellent sandwich and delicious coffee after a hike. However, we had to skip the latter a bit because the parents who picked us up didn't want to eat and because of the two additional chairs at our table, we were asked to leave after the sandwich was finished, citing the bad manners of the older generation, which unfortunately dampened the mood a bit . Recommended for a quick snack, not suitable for lingering (probably in the spirit of the operator). Nevertheless, good luck with the café, the food is really good.

I ordered a cookie and offered to pay card at first. The owner declared cash only and then proceeded lecture me for about 5 minutes about how "people like me" don't understand small businesses and how to manage money. He said this while mocking my clearance Calvin Klein coat and outlet mall wallet. He didn't even let me get a word in the whole time. I highly recommend going to small businesses that actually treat their customers with normal human courtesy and decency...SO NOT HERE. Will never come back or recommend to people. Edit: I recommend looking at the rude and defensive replies to bad reviews the owner posts as a reference to the customer service character here.

Got a cookie and it was a disgusting brick. Guy working at counter was also a jerk! He told us cash only (which was totally fine) until he proceeded to aggressively lecture my friend for having a nice coat and not caring about small businesses for 5 minutes straight. She literally had not complained about anything, and had only inquired about the price of her purchase and his preferred method of payment. Would never come back, do not recommend, save your money and protect your energy!!

Multiple visits to the Kombüse and staff, food, drinks never failed to get my gratitude. Owner has a strong personality. Not everyone's darling but likeable.

We regularly eat in the galley in Brunnen. The restaurant is in a great location right opposite the ship station. The food is very tasty and the ingredients are always fresh. The host is a cool guy, we love coming just because of him :)

Tables and chairs could be more comfortable...

Whatever the weather, I always enjoy letting my gaze wander over Lake Lucerne (towards Uri) and being treated to great food by Gregy and/or Sophia. Their offerings range from sumptuous salads to Giabattas/paninis/potatoes with meat or vegetables to cakes, muffins or large cookies. The ingredients are often from the region.

Just ordered a cappuccino. Immediately after, I asked if I could “pay with my card”. The guy behind the counter said no, then I said sorry. “No plastic” he said. I said sorry again. After that he looked super annoyed and demonstratively threw the coffee away. I respect that you have a vision and perhaps even a philosophy with no accepting cards. That said, when that’s not clear to me as a customer before I order something, AND the person behind the counter doesn’t tell me BEFORE he starts making the coffee… you can expect that this could go wrong, no? When things go wrong, getting annoyed with the customer is not exactly a good example of customer service. I’ll give two stars because the place looks nice, and there was a solid coffee machine. Besides that, BRING CASH or you might become an “annoying customer” I will look for another place for a coffee now.

Drinking mulled wine outside can be a real challenge for the operator.

Cookie tasted old, that shouldn't be the case! Cake wasn't particularly good either. Cappuccino very small. The prices for this are quite high. There are simply much better cafes!

Normal coffee at normal prices. Good for sitting outside. Cheap UHT milk for coffee drinks. Only cash payment possible. Hygiene works like this.

My “regular restaurant”! Small but nice. Best coffee and always fresh pastries! We recommend. The young and dynamic team clearly enjoys their work. Delicious food, great limos, great atmosphere, great sound and of course the most beautiful backdrop in the world.

Unfortunately I can't describe how in love I am with this company! I visited Kombüse for the first time last summer and it somehow has its own unique atmosphere that I have never experienced before or in any other establishment/coffee house/restaurant. The beautiful look, the smell of freshly prepared food just behind the bar, friendly staff who chat honestly and warmly with guests, excellent food and drink,... I've probably found my favorite coffee house! :) (Greetings from the Czech Republic!)

Nice little restaurant. The owner plays a few concerts every now and then. However, you should then no longer converse as this is perceived as disturbing. That in a coffee. That's why I didn't visit it again...

Great place to "Be". Great offer with lots of exclusive drinks and snacks. Staff is nice and efficient.

Cakes just like nana used to make, good coffee and, if you're lucky, a seat in the sun. A nice twist to the standard Brunnen tourist set up.

For me, the visit to the galley was absolutely worth it. At first the waitress welcomed us very kindly and explained what was recommended. We quickly agreed and ordered the perfect menu. He prepared everything fresh for us and we received our food pretty quickly. The owner himself was very entertaining and accommodating. I can highly recommend the cake and he even made it himself. As for the coffee, you'll have to ask him, it certainly suited my taste. I had the cappuccino. What I particularly liked was the interior design and the personality of the owner. Hygiene & character are lacking👎👎

I am nothing but disappointed with this cafe. The coffee beans were over-extracted, resulting in an unusual burnt taste. In addition, the milk foam nozzle was covered in milk protein, which is really unhygienic. But what shocked me most was the lack of hospitality. The waiter reprimanded me for drinking tap water from my own bottle even though the water in the cafe was free. I was told that I should consider myself lucky that I didn't get thrown out of the cafe for this. I personally find that rude and an overreaction. If someone here is thirsty for their coffee, I recommend asking for 10 free glasses of water instead of drinking from your own bottle. I'm not coming back.

Right on the lake with outside seating for smokers. An excellent and very tasty tea selection. The food, especially the sandwiches, are very tasty and unusual and are completely homemade.

Today our family ate dinner at Kombüse while stopping through Ingenbohl and it was fantastic! Gregor treated us with personable hospitality and helped each of us pick out the right meals - even making modifications to menu items that were customary. This experience was one to remember, and truly was the difference maker in an ordinary dinner becoming a memorable experience. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is driving through the city or just stopping and looking for a quaint place to enjoy a meal. Easily a 10 out of 10!!! Keep it up Gregor and hope to cross paths again!

Stopped off at Kombüse on a tour through Europe. Ended up staying for hours eating the delicious food and drinking the fantastic coffee (best I had on tour)! Apparently the beer is also excellent but I didn't try any this time! Couldn't recommend it enough and look forward to coming back here next time I'm touring. Thank you!!

By far the best coffee around! Freshly prepared food, cooked right in front of you in the open kitchen. When I'm traveling in Switzerland, there's always a trip to the galley :) You will be warmly welcomed and immediately feel at home.

Fabulous food. Service is appalling, the arrogance , impoliteness , patronising tones and general unpleasantness and rudeness which is aimed at paying customers by the unkept cook / waiter is off-putting and unnecessary. Despite the local produce which is cooked to an acceptable standard we will not be returning.

The meeting point in Brunnen with the #hereathome factor. Anyone who is communicative can quickly find new friends here. Recommended, the large selection of teas.
