Konditorei Voland in Fischenthal

We bought various pieces of cake at 2 p.m. Unfortunately, Black Forest cake in particular and two other types were either old and tasteless. Simply not as it should be in this price segment. It's a shame but there are some better companies out there

Congratulations on the bread quality. Best sourdough bread I've ever eaten. I have been a customer of Voland for a very long time. I'm a chauffeur and have bought bread in many bakeries. But Voland with the sourdough bread is absolutely top class. From now on I'll make my lunch roll myself with Voland's sourdough bread. And the crust break from the sourdough bread was spot on. I drive past all the other bakeries when I have a sourdough lunch roll with me. Hats off to Woland. Keep it up. And I'm glad that Voland has a shop on my doorstep in Rüti ZH. I remain loyal to you. Fine Coffee, great bakery with Love!

I keep driving past the bakery. I finally managed to get into it. We ate a little something and drank something. The selection is really good. A few days later I got a spelled plait and a spelled bread there. I was served very friendly again. The bread and also the plait are and were very tasty. The bread still tastes very fresh even after 4 days. It's worth spending a little more money on bread like this. I will definitely go there more often.

I would like to distrust all of these reports and consider everything here to be great, because there is nothing wrong with the pastries. But if you can't believe your eyes at the first glance at HR when exactly one person (!) is authorized to sign in such a large company, then the limitless irresponsibility has been more than confirmed. Just considering the large number of employees who depend on their jobs, it's absolutely unbelievable. And suddenly you believe everything you hear.

Stopped in again today before heading to Hulftegg. As always, what's served here is really great. I'm always happy to come here.

We are regulars. For us, Sunday includes a visit to Voland for coffee and a delicious piece of patisserie. A pleasure! Jasmin is the good soul of the café, always friendly, courteous, attentive and warm.

I was the lady from 6 days ago. I was insulted for what I could think of - to eat an ice cream sundae - even though we had already been waiting on the terrace for 15 minutes half an hour before closing time. After waiting for 15 minutes, I politely went into the store and unfortunately had to listen to the teather what the older lady was doing with the young employee. The lady in front of me had to unpack her bag three times and show the goods. The older lady should perhaps undergo training on how to deal with my employees. Because you, too, are an employee there. So completely unprofessional. I didn't get my ice cream sundae and the shop closed. It's just a good thing that Fischenthal has the Gasthaus Blume and I was able to enjoy a wonderful ice cream sundae there with my son. Unfortunately, you won't see me again at Voland Fischenthal. This time I enjoyed a homemade rhubarb tart. It was so fine!

Unfortunately I had a very negative experience. A lady insulted her young and probably inexperienced colleague in front of the customers. She wasn't familiar with my order and had to listen to a lot. An absolute NO GO!!! And unpleasant for me as a customer. In addition, another customer was no longer served outside and received a very unfriendly response to her request. Even if “woman” is tired, irritable and standing at the counter shortly before closing time, this is not appropriate behavior in sales (speaking from experience). A pity. Because the products are really delicious!

On every road bike ride that passes the Volland pastry shop in Steg, my bike stops there... I always receive very friendly service and I enjoy fine baked goods and drinks in the beautifully designed coffee area or on the terrace.

The fresh canapés were very tasty. The strawberry tart was excellent. I think it's cool how the coffee spoon looks on the serving board. A GREAT idea.

The employees are always friendly and yes, the bread, the sweets, the own iced tea, there is nothing that is not recommended, it's just super good and the baumerfladen is simply the best.

Guys, the food here is great, but nobody knows what's going on in the background behind closed doors. I've heard from various employees who work here that there is a very aggressive climate, people are insulted, harassed and threatened. The boss is supposed to be a pleasant person However, there are certain shift managers who are not afraid to get physical, teamwork only exists in production but not in humanity, no one helps the other when there are threats or insults, which is very questionable. Buy your sandwiches, but remember them were prepared with fear.

Well, unfortunately I have to correct my previously very good review. Were recently at brunch: at 10 a.m. almost everything was empty and wasn't refilled, staff were stressed and bitching at each other in front of the customers and at 11 a.m. the buffet was being put together. According to the website, there is an extensive brunch buffet from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Highlight: Cornflakes, but no milk or yoghurt - not even when asked ("if it's not there, it's not available"). Crispy greetings takes on a completely different meaning.

Before the hike we fortified ourselves here with a café and pastries. Funny serving boards with magnets for the spoon 😀 After the long hike up the Schnebelhorn ⛰ we returned for a beer 🍺 and were even treated to ham croissants 🥐! Thank you for the kind gesture. Very friendly staff.

I think it's a shame that the croissants for these prices are getting smaller and smaller. Why doesn't it always work the same size? Either there is no salt in the bread or, like today's croissants, the dough is half raw. It's a shame with such a name and especially the price, I expected better quality

Here you can enjoy the best almond croissants in Switzerland. The staff is sometimes overworked and stressed, which is a real shame - it would be nice if the administration could pay more attention to this ;)

If you know nothing about Voland you'd easily pass by... the hidden culinaric gem that has it's repution beyond the local area but also by insiders far away... this bakery has been living up it's reputation day for day to keep or even improve the quality of its mouth-watering oevres! Today we took the chance as neighbours from Kyiv living now close to Basel visitted us. We showed them a part of Zuri Oberland. Beside the jaw dropping views of the landscapes Voland completed the bliss by enjoying our taste buds. We will happely return!

As expected, the usual variety of offerings. The outside seating is right on the street and is only comfortable to a limited extent. Voland in Bauma is definitely more comfortable and beautifully located, even if the offering may be a little less extensive.

I can only recommend a trip to the “cozy” Tösstal with a coffee stop at the Voland pastry shop.

Despite ordering ahead of time, they forgot to prepare it. Unfortunately, no alternative was even suggested. A pity!

For me the worst pastry shop far and wide. One has the feeling that creams and fillings are finished products. Tasteless, just sweet and fatty.

On October 14th I wanted to go hiking in the Steg area. I passed this cozy café and decided to have a coffee before the hike. We were only 4 guests. However, the waitress found it more important to clear the other tables than to serve a new guest. So I went to the toilet first. When I came back they very rudely asked for my Covid certificate. I had a dark bread roll with my coffee. The waitress didn't immediately understand what I meant. As I walked to the table I heard the saleswoman say to a colleague "they're all the same". I guess that meant I was complicated. I often go to cafés but you rarely encounter such rude service. A pity. The café is very cozy. Let's say that the service is probably overloaded due to the Covid situation. I read that there is a lot of positive feedback. Hopefully I'll do better next time. Good luck with the bakery and the café anyway.

I drove here from Wetzikon to have the super nut rolls and a coffee. When the coffee came I saw that the spoon was dirty, the waitress said: it can happen and got another one. When she came to the table she threw spoons just on the table.

Great bakery with delicious breads and cakes. Great “gas station” for cyclists.

We came across this bakery quite by chance on our way out. A really beautifully decorated store with extremely friendly and courteous service. But the goods on offer there are even more impressive and impressive! We were there on a Sunday and it was hard to avoid the selection. Of course you take a lot more with you and if you want to eat something there, you can do it outside and of course you take a lot more than you actually wanted before. But according to the motto you don't treat yourself to anything else, it's good to eat with your eyes first and then let everything melt in your tongue. The quality there is really absolutely sensational and highly recommended!

This time I visited this branch via “to good to go”, an app against food waste. The surprise food package we bought for 6.90 was just AWESOME & DELICIOUS, thank you very much!! It's not one of my favorite bakeries for nothing... In view of the quite large remaining quantities, some would have!! Packages can be offered more on “to good to go”. I also see a massive need for improvement in customer friendliness and service!!!

Nicely decorated shop a bakery with integrated village shop compartment as well as seating in the cafe compartment. **During the Second Wave Café to Go!* Several car parking spaces in the courtyard during the stay, shared with the construction shop.
