Were not served as a group, the restaurant was far from full. Incomprehensible, everyone will avoid the restaurant in the future.

Extremely unfriendly and disgusting atmosphere… We went out for a drink in the evening: first we were ignored then we were able to order… 2 beginners drinks that were no good. You had to order at the bar yourself and bring it to the table yourself... We found a place down the slippery stairs, but 15 minutes later it was full of people again. We wanted to light the table and put a candle on the table - to make the atmosphere a little more harmonious. Shortly afterwards, the grim waiter came and took the candle away from us with another look and said “would you rather have asked”... I've had another experience like that, being attacked because I was in the basement holding a candle for the table lighting serve. I don't think I'll go up there again to stand in line at the bar and then ask for a candle. Sorry... you can't serve but you can move a candle downstairs from one table to another. Ridiculous... From then on we felt extremely uncomfortable and after drinking we left the horrible restaurant.

Very special atmosphere since the bar was a delivery room in the past. A good variety of cocktails and the staff is very friendly!

Very nice bar in the heart of the city of Bern. In the basement there is plenty of space for drinking and chatting surrounded by stones. It was like being in a grotto. Very special and beautiful.

Nice location, pleasant atmosphere, great drinks, but staff with a strong tendency to arrogance who see themselves as demigods. A pity.

One of the top bars in Bern. The ambience as well as the employees capture the Bernese flair 120%. Thanks to the wonderful staff, even an empty delivery room at off-peak times is worth a visit!

If I could give zero stars I would. I was at this bar March 30th 2022 in the evening with 3 co-workers . We were greeted at the door by the Bar Tender as soon as we walked in, and he asked us how he could help us (first red flag). We told him we would like a few drinks and he told us to sit at a table. Just as the drinks were brought to our table, a couple of guys sitting at a table next to ours started harassing us. One of them bumped his chair into one of us (second red flag) then they asked us where we were from, we told them the United States They called us liars, they said we were from Canada, and said we must be cops, asked us who we were there to arrest, etc. all the time this was happening, the Bar Tender just watched form behind the bar , nothing else. I went up to pay so we could leave, while the others stayed at the table being harassed, called names and threatened. The Bar Tender ignored me for a good 5 minutes until I called out to him. The whole time this was happening, all of the people at the bar and the other tables, kept their heads down to avoid getting involved. Such a shame and poor reflection of the patrons. I cannot recommend this bar.

The bartenders are technically very fit, but also very unfriendly and cheeky.

Good music to listen to, good atmosphere and good drinks

Was here 20 years ago for a nightcap. Not much has changed. The staff has become younger🥰but very pleasant. I'll be back🥃🥃 for a good whiskey.

Courteous service: noble restraint, the way I like it. The music is just as diverse as the whiskey. If I lived in this city, this would be my favorite bar!

Cozy atmosphere and OK drinks. However, you can expect high quality service at these prices, unfortunately I didn't experience anything like that. When I was queuing for the toilet, the staff pushed forward and rudely snapped at me after I complained. When you order a shot you are treated almost dismissively, as only upscale “bar culture” is maintained here.

Nice atmosphere and friendly servers. On the other hand, how can a Whiskey Paddy, certainly available for 20.- per bottle for a barkeeper, end up at 14.- per glass (4cl?)... a margin of what, more than 90%?? If someone explains it to me, I would like to add stars :)

best place for late night drinks

The place is a little hidden, and upon entering it seems a little gloomy at first glance. But the cocktails are incredible, the prices are right and the little room at the bottom of the stairs is nice, with lots of character. We do small concerts there.

The directions, if you feel like you're not on the right path, are right for you like sausage on the grill. Wonderful authentic atmosphere with a very select menu. And yes, it is full there on the weekend too. However, the pilgrimage into the depths of the old Aare town is rewarded with a rare, exquisite drink. Prösche!

Probably the best whisky collection in Bern and also one of the best cocktail bar. The atmosphere is perfect. Most often there is jazz playing and it is a very cool experience.

Cozy bar with an excellent but a little overpriced selection, a few tables and lots of people on the stairs who can chat there until half past two without having to be quiet because there's no one there to bother.

The two chefs mix cocktails that are in the upper class in terms of quality. Unfortunately, two downers spoiled the joy: 1. The Mint Julep is traditionally served in a silver-plated julep cup, not in a glass like in the delivery room. 2. 4 cl of the respective spirit for 16 francs is too expensive, as 6 cl is standard worldwide. The delivery room cocktails are 1/3 smaller than usual and still priced at the upper limit.

Anyone who likes whiskeys in a cozy atmosphere is in good hands here
