We came to this restaurant recommended by a work colleague from the shopping center opposite. We were on the move, sent by our management. Fortunately we were vigilant because when it was time to pay, the waitress inflated our bill by 33chf by telling us that the owner had changed the price of the wines on the menu. What there is is totally false and dishonest! Too bad this situation harms the reputation of the boss!!

The service is very friendly. We really liked the atmosphere, but the thin paper napkins and wobbly chairs quickly made a different impression. Unfortunately, the kitchen is not convincing at all. One person had an upset stomach after going to a restaurant. Luckily it's only mild, but something like that shouldn't happen. The steaks seem bland, you could do so much more with different spices, different types of pepper, salt, etc. For us, La Barbacoa is not an authentic steakhouse. For this price you can eat really high quality and nice food somewhere else.

No matter what meat you order, it's amazing. And I ordered extra vegetables and I was thrilled, crunchy and fresh.

The quality of the food was excellent. The beef fillet and bison on a hot stone are highly recommended! The homemade sauces round off the exceptional offering. Great and very friendly hosts. Thank you very much for the great evening!

A good place for the whole family! Mexican restaurant, of course with specialties like kangaroo, ostrich and bison but also with more well-known meats such as beef, lamb and pork. I really liked the food, it was top notch and the service was perfect! In this case, you can use it for normal evening meals but also for family celebrations such as birthdays or school meetings! During the week you can try the daily menu! Thank you Team La Barbacoa!

Ate wonderfully. First we had the Very Gjte Beef Tartare as a starter and then the 800g meat dish with pork, beef, bison and horse, with vegetables and fries. Very good quality meat. We thought it was great that there were such big, thick Pommea. The sauces were also very nice. And the vegetables were brilliantly seasoned. My daughter had the Cordonbleu, which was also very fine. We explored what kangaroo meat would taste like. The waitress asked us if we could try another piece if we wanted. But we politely declined as we will take it next time. Oh yes, the dessert, Toblerone mousse (white and brown), was also pretty good. The service was very courteous and extremely friendly. Thank you for the great evening. 🙏👌🫶

Let's start with my school German phone call which was received with the greatest kindness. We were received with a very nice smile. Efficient service and cuisine....Excellent! The meat on slate was to die for; The fries (with sweet potato) were excellent and the sauces, although very very good, were not necessarily necessary given the quality of the meat. My partner, my son and the couple who accompanied us recommend living this beautiful place. For those with a sweet tooth who are switching to desserts, ask for the sweet wine (red). You will have a nice surprise....

We waited more than 45 minutes for our food. All of this on a lunchtime when you have to work! The schnitzel was so-so and had cheese on it?! The kitchen was very weak... Will not recommend it and will never visit again! The argument with the owner's many customers is not valid, as there were only nine guests in the restaurant and the guests entered the restaurant staggered in groups of three.

We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary at La Barbacoa. The food was absolutely amazing, as was the dessert. Many thanks also to the very friendly hosts for the service. We would love to come back!

We were there on Sunday evening and were well served. The perch crispy had a delicious dough coating and the salad served with it was very balanced and fresh. The beef tartare was freshly prepared and was very delicately balanced. I can recommend it.

The food is very, very good, the sauces are homemade. The service was very friendly and attentive. You currently have to take a detour to get to the restaurant because there is a construction site, but it's really worth it. We can only recommend it.

Hot food is available from 4 p.m., but locally it only says so from 6 p.m. We then waited in the restaurant for 10 minutes without anyone noticing us... it wasn't until I called on the phone and the doorbell rang in the restaurant that we were noticed. It was said unfriendly: did you just call? I said yes, and the lady was annoyed... people don't seem to need money here

Was an absolute highlight when it came to meat. I had an ostrich, bison and kangaroo steak. Perfectly prepared for the hot stone. I can only recommend. I had various sauces with it (barbecue, hot sauce and Bernaise sauce), unfortunately only the Bernaise sauce was homemade. The barbecue sauce was bought and the hot sauce was just “Samba Olek”, a shame. Unfortunately, the Rösti croquettes weren't homemade either, but they were good. All in all, an absolute recommendation if you love meat.

Not suitable for children!!! Adults are served much faster than families with children. The food is otherwise good.

It started with the wrong fries being delivered to us. When they noticed, they picked it up from us and asked if we had eaten it yet. When we said no they brought them to the table next door. The quality of the meat was good, you can't say anything about it, but we can wait for a new hot stone. We only got about half of the sauces we ordered. We then had to order the missing ones again even though she had written them all down. My colleague and I each ordered an espresso. Mine was brought, then we said we needed a second one. We were told it would be there shortly, but then it never came. And the most disappointing thing was my dessert. I was really looking forward to my chocolate cake. We ordered 3, mine was delivered completely cold and inedible. I was able to say this after ages because no one was interested in us and walked past us. When I mentioned this when paying, the only answer I got was sorry that we didn't walk past. No price concession or replacement. When she was collecting the espresso that didn't come, she said she could bring another one. Of course we didn't want this anymore. It's a shame, I expected more from this restaurant. Unfortunately never again.

We ate here for the first time and loved the food. The beef fillet on the hot stone with the fine sauces was super delicious. The fries were also large and very crispy. The service was very, very helpful. We also really appreciated that the hostess also asked if everything was okay. They are also very flexible and also fulfill special requests. I can highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely have dinner there again. The Toblerone mousse is fabulous, I have rarely eaten such a fine mousse. Highly recommended and totally delicious.

There were four of us there and we were thrilled by the beef on the hot stone! I liked the “Chnobli sauce”! Fresh vegetables as a side dish are also recommended! We'll be back!!!

The price and quality of the food is an impertinence and an impudence. 64 francs for yellowed salad with ready-made sauce - Angus shoe sole with ready-made vegetables. The cook should do what he can - store cardboard boxes with ready-made vegetables in the basement. No wonder the restaurant is almost empty at lunchtime. Where is the landlord??!

We went to La Barbacoa for the first time today and are very satisfied. The food was delicious - steak on the hot stone. The service was very attentive and friendly and the waiting time for the food was also great. The terrace looks inviting, but since it is right next to the street, the noise from traffic is annoying. We would still like to come back.

What the website says is not entirely true. The restaurant is simply furnished. A feel-good atmosphere looks different to me. Several of us ate there and had very friendly service. Even though we were the only guests, one or two things took quite a long time. For example, the main course was only served after 1 ½ hours. I was looking forward to the meat, but was bitterly disappointed. Too much salt and thyme for me, and the ostrich meat was no longer good, as was my colleague's. There was an apology from the waitress and another piece of meat for my colleague. Personally, it stopped me from continuing to eat. There was also a smell of old frying oil coming from the kitchen... The dessert was very tasty, but certainly not something homemade. To be fair to the others in our group, the plates were all empty and they were happy. My main course was not charged. The cook didn't show up... My conclusion... never again...

So delicious! Thank you for the lovely service and conjure up a delicious vermicelle during your lunch break

The service was very courteous and friendly and we also really liked the ambience on the terrace. We are looking forward to the next time.
