I don't know how they dare call it fondue anymore. And to think that the Genevans love coming here, but do they really know what fondue is? The appearance already looks like a cheese soufflé, then you can feel the taste of the cornstarch more than that of the cheese. We ask for potatoes and he gives us a small bowl with 3 potatoes which he chases after. The place is noisy and anything but warm. We sit on tables like in a canteen and when we ask for power we are asked to steal it from the next table because they don't have any. not enough. This place may have been good in the past but should absolutely be avoided now.

Great place to eat Swiss fondue! We went to this place, highly appreciated by Genevans and tourists for the excellent quality of the fondue. The main dish is the typical Swiss recipe of melted cheese which is eaten with rustic bread. The classic menu includes fondue + bread as the main course to which by default a small portion of fruit salad is added to finish the meal. The place is very informal, often very popular (I recommend booking) with large single tables where several people sit together. The cheese is really very good, soft and creamy, a must try! Advice: The portion of fondue is abundant and for this reason we took one less portion and it was enough (there were 3 of us and we asked for a portion for 2). Furthermore, to avoid digestion problems, we do not recommend drinking water (which would be cold) but taking hot tea or wine to accompany it. Last tip: as per Genevan "tradition", you finish eating the fondue when you also eat the cheese "crust" at the bottom of the pot.

I sadly have to give this place a rough review. I was told to come here by a friend, and I came on a sunday. They were very busy so (and the menu I could see was only in french) so to be polite I came back on monday afternoon. There was no line, but from the moment I asked for an english menu (they don’t have one) the lady there was impatient with me. I asked for a recommendation and she couldn’t give me one - and then the dish I ended up with was not what I was expecting. Had she been more patient with me, this may have been a much better experience. I can’t imagine what it’s like on a busy day. If you speak english - just don’t go here. If you do, just opt for the meal of the day and save yourself the hassle. I ended up with a smoked salmon salad with too many carrots (removed before photo). To say this was a disappointing experience is an understatement.

A friendly, family-friendly place! Be careful because even with a reservation, you have to queue to serve yourself (30 minutes in line on a Sunday lunchtime on our side). It is better to pay in cash if you want to go faster. So you have to go there when you have time and don't necessarily want to be "quiet", the place is very big, crowded with people and noisy. But it's still very nice, we eat very well there!

Very nice place. Very affordable prices (reduction for the unemployed). Very welcoming staff. Free WC. You order and pay at the counter, then sit at one of the tables available outdoors or indoors.

After swimming in cold water at night, I ate a fondue last night in a group of around thirty, an excellent time and very friendly. The fondue is good and the service impeccable, the nun is taken off with dexterity and served while still hot. I would like to particularly thank the professionalism of Mathieu who was impeccable and very cheerful. His little touch of humor made us have an unforgettable time!

it was a Sunday evening great place to enjoy a fondue, nice discovery. A little noisy, don't expect to be able to talk to people at the other end of the table. Remember to book because it's packed even on Sunday...

We reserved a table earlier in the day for the evening. I can't judge the meal because we left before even eating. The waiters looked lost in the face of a huge crowd relative to the size of the venue. we had difficulty intercepting one, we almost had to push to pass. We were put in a sort of cupboard for 2 people (prison visiting rooms are bigger!) which was not reserved at all since there were still dirty dishes from previous clients, he looked everywhere before finding a table available.... Then we waited like crazy... no one told us that we had to go back outside to order, behind a huge queue... I don't think it's right to leave the people “book it” and let them think that’s the case. We lost 30 minutes of our evening and on top of that we had to look for another restaurant at 9 p.m. where luckily we could breathe!! Covid is no longer so relevant but that's no reason to crowd your customers like animals, when there are too many people at one time you have to know how to refuse for the well-being of all!!!

The place is magical. The food is good and not too expensive. On the other hand, often the same daily specials and the same type of seasoning. But above all some of the staff are shockingly nonchalant and rude! Once I was told that I just had to take their place in the service if I wasn't happy... Yep, that sucks!

This place was fantastic! Everyone who worked there was so nice - they all spoke English, but remember, speaking a bit of French to show respect is always kind ☺️ The beer was crisp, the fondue was massive for two people and incredible, and the fruit was a nice dessert! Unfortunately I think they charged me twice for the fondue (though we only received one), as our bill for this was 64CHF instead of the 35-37 it should have been 😅 but it’s alright, it was a really cool spot! Just maybe make sure to double check your order before you pay! Also! If you don’t have a reservation then you have to follow specific instructions about where to sit, and you order outside at the stalls and then they give you some of the stuff and bring in the fondue! It’s a very chill, laid back atmosphere that we really enjoyed - we just wish the pricing had been correct!

Very good fondue, just the bread which is really not great. A little lost when we arrived because too many people wanted to help us. These 2 small points to improve.

Food is extremely good! Fondue is of course a classic but stop by for breakfast or lunch for plat du jour - you won’t be disappointed! Prices are very low for Geneva - plat du jour is for 14 CHF! A must place to visit!

It is a very fun place, the food is delicious, being in the middle of the lake is very beautiful, there are swans and ducks around you. The menu is very small but works excellent.

One of my favorite restaurants in Geneva with a very happy atmosphere. The fondue costs 27 francs and comes with bread and a portion of 5 delicious oysters costs €15. The only con is that you have to go order outside and bring everything except the fondue to the table yourself.

Enjoyed a delicious fondue with meats and pickles, accompanied by a hot ginger tea, in this buzzing eatery. A place where internationals and Swiss go to sit, eat and rub shoulders whilst enjoying good food and the warm atmosphere. It is the kind of place where one is happy to arrive into the vibrant warmth on a cold night as this place is set literally in lake Geneva. We got there by accident to hide from the rain and stayed to eat something. At first glance, the interior is reminiscent of a canteen, with large benches placed throughout the room. There were a lot of guests, which made it quite noisy and crowded. However, it had its own charm after sitting there longer. Due to the winter, there were nice stoves installed there where you could warm yourself (great thing). We took founde to try and local wine and it was a hit. A place worth recommending in an interesting place.

The place was separated into 2 sides with 2 restaurant names and we entered one of them but we didn't get any service even though there was a worker there, didn't say a thing to us. And after 10 mins we found out we have to order ourselves in the counter of the other side.

Had the cremant fondue and accompaniments of Cornichon, pearl onions and bread, a glass of white wine- atmosphere was lively- lots of communal tables. Our first night in Geneva, but this was the best fondue I’ve ever had!

Fondue for one person, more than enough for two, we couldn't finish. And chocolate cake to die for. Simple and efficient service.

We made a reservation. When we came in it made no sense on where to go. After 15 minutes someone came to us and sent us to a coworker. The table we got was not clean and located in a very cramped little closet. No one explained to us how it worked. After a while we figured out that we had to go outside to get our food and drinks and bring them in ourselves. You had to get water yourself at a fountain, also outside.

Located just at the sauna place. You can come just to the restaurant. They do cheap lunch deals. We came for the cheese fondue to try. £27 just for the cheese fondue and bread, £15 for the ham platter. I would say this fondue can be shared with 4-6 people, as it is very big and filling. View is good as it is just by the lake. We can even see the fountain.

Good morning, The atmosphere at the lake is sublime. The fondue is good but as always there is not enough 😇 One downside is the price. Normally not expensive for students (like me), even more so with Christmas… In any case, I thank this really nice place and I highly recommend it. Beautiful day ☀️

Very good fondue, but... a fondue pot for 6 which comes to the brim but after 3 swipes of the fork, there is only a mini fondue left for barely 1-2 people... it's frankly not correct (long live baking soda...!) Super disappointed with the fondue. It doesn't taste like it's cooked in water...no fondue fork either (standard forks). You have to go order outside and carry your tray, then they bring the fondue. Canteen style. For the price there are better/better elsewhere.

Excellent fondue but totally overcrowded, they try to cram in as many people as possible and as a result you end up eating almost sitting on other people’s lap. And they are rude about it! Scandalous!

The place: very dirty toilets. A queue to order lasting more than 20 minutes, poorly organized. Old and very dilapidated infrastructure. The people who were eating on the terrace did so surrounded by the people who were waiting in line. The food: quite mediocre. They charged us for the dish and after charging for it, they told us that they did not have any product on the entire menu. They didn't want to give us our money back and also said that they had already served us the dishes. A box of forks fell to the ground, full of rainwater. They put them back in the self-service box as if nothing had happened and people continued helping themselves with them. Terrible, supreme and haughty attitude of the waiters and the supervisor. In the end we got our money back and we left there half eaten...

A frothy Crémant de Dardagny fondue. The concept is great. “Bouchon Lyonnais” style, and I’m Lyonnais! Benches around large tables. You order, you pay outside, you leave your first name, you go to sit down, and after a while, a waiter arrives with your hot frying pan and the bread basket, shouting your first name in order to find you . For fondue lovers, undoubtedly one of the best in Europe. Nice evening with family.

Before it was nice, it remained one of the last authentic places in Geneva. Now it's armored, the factory, a large multicultural zoo drowned in hubbub. Too bad, there is nothing “Swiss” anymore in Geneva. It's better to make a fondue at home and drink a good Chasselas (rather than capsuled piquette). For tourist.

This place is so beautiful! Definitely an experience. First time I tried fondue. It was a lot. If I had about three more hungry people, that would have been perfect! The salads were good. They were pretty slammed and the it was a challenge to navigate. But worth it!!

I went to eat at the Bain des Paquis because a lot of people talk about it as a place where you eat very well, especially the fondue. It looks more like a cafeteria, hence the name refreshment bar. If I give it a rating of three today it's because the place seems nice but it's noisy and we can't hear each other when we talk. The meal nothing more simply because on two occasions there was a hair on my mother's plate and that kind of thing shouldn't even happen. Prices are OK, but not much choice.

I loved the place and the atmosphere. The fondue is excellent and plentiful for 3. It might just be for 4 or 5 people if you are big eaters on the other hand. Simple but effective charcuterie. The bread is ok.

My colleagues and I came here to have dinner. The weather was still mild and it was great to eat outside by the lake. The atmosphere was just perfect and the fondue was delicious. Hello Resident of the neighborhood, I am a regular at Bains des Paquis. I have lunch there several times a week. I am at the AVS. However, I regret the disappearance this summer of the mixed or mixed salad which was a monument recognized throughout the canton of the baths menu. An icon for vegetarians. The Greek salad at 15 CHF will not replace it. I understand that such a salad requires work but PLEASE consider putting it back on the menu. Don't sacrifice everything for profitability. Please. We went to try the fondue (27CHF per head), we ordered only for 1 person and it was good. For the prices we had seen it was good because in most places they forced you to order for at least 2 people. Some waiters were friendly… views of 10! Very busy place, advisable to go early. They only accept cash payment.

Visited this place with kids ! We're walking around and we went in- you have to pay 2 Swiss francs at the entry - any pass you have in Geneva will not work- The place in general is publics paths that you have also to pay to the change clothes rooms - very small neat beach - You will be surprised with some topless women there ! As we don't have that here in the USA. The food in this place was surprisingly amazing It's very crowded I tried horse meat which was my first time ! And it was not bad at all We tried Tuna salad and it was good Also they had a dish I don't recall the name and there was a good mix of veg, watermelon and eggplants ! It was good ! I noticed the number of honey bees ! Everywhere ! It's good place, recommend it for sure- staff are nice and they speak good English !

Best Swiss fondue and great location. Hidden from the city center.

We came in the evening for the fondue. Light, airy and tasty, we really liked it. The bread is very good. The bottle of Gamay red wine is excellent. On the other hand, a slightly larger portion of fondue would have been nice for three people. Otherwise, note that it is possible to request additional bread and potatoes for free. Then, the place is often full, we are stuck with the others at the table. But good atmosphere, that’s also part of the style of the place. I recommend.
