Unfortunately, you have the feeling that you are not welcome as a German speaker. The condition (LAURIE) didn't want to bring us a card, even though there were enough cards available on the table opposite. When we politely called her attention for the third time, she reluctantly brought "ONE" card. Meanwhile, all the guests who came after us got their food and our order wasn't even taken, even though we made eye contact several times. At some point she came up with the idea of ​​taking our order, but “emphasized” we had to wait an hour for our food. We then lost our hunger and left the restaurant.

The setting of the restaurant is magnificent. Beautiful terrace by the water. Overall, we ate well but expected more. The dishes were a little greasy and lacked taste. The service was professional but lacked friendliness.

Unfortunately no one speaks German, but with a little bit of English and all, everything worked out great. The staff was also very approachable, despite the language barrier. The ambience itself is great and the harbor is nearby. Therefore full points. Gladly again.

Beef tartare had no taste, lacked seasoning and was cut too thick

The perch fillets are from Eastern countries and the waiter didn't even know it like all the meats which are not Swiss but the plate of perch fillets was good, the soft chocolate dessert with custard and very average ice cream it was more of a cake and the custard is just for decoration on the plate. Good food but for the price it can be local I think!

Nice evening at the water's edge on the terrace of the Harbor Master's Office. The staff is efficient, helpful and pleasant. After a very appetizing beef carpaccio, a perch fillet with white wine sauce with Chasselas du Landeron and an absinthe parfait. What a lovely evening we had, thank you :-)

UPDATE after visiting 3 years ago: Unfortunately the quality of food, presentation and staff has sadly turned to the downside. Prices still bold and on the upper range. Food delicious, very loud inside, nice garden, nice location, DOGS NOT WELCOME, very unfriendly staff (at least the blonde patter - probably chef de service, just bad, you shouldn't let someone like that loose on guests...even like her other employees treated in front of the guests...not possible). The best food is of no use, the first impression ruined everything. It's a shame, we were so happy and with 6 people and 3 courses plus wine we left a lot of money behind...

Le Landeron (NE): Starting from Camping des Pêches, for a night walk, it was chance that led us near the Restaurant La Capitainerie which is well located at the Port du Lac de Bienne (BE.). Due to the late hour, we did not enter this good restaurant given the glowing reviews found in Google! Perhaps on another occasion we will have the pleasure of tasting their specialties because today our stay is short!
