If you eat at the bar, an espresso costs 4 euros. There is such a delicious and good cafe right in front of the train station! I went in without any expectations as it was in front of the station, but they were friendly and delicious. This is a cafe run by grandparents. The bathroom is a bit rough

Nice little shop. Nice service, nice decor and in my opinion it smells so nice in this shop. There is a relatively large selection of coffee In the 3 years that I have been visiting this coffee roastery, I have never had any complications. I always got coffee of good quality and treatment. I am satisfied with the advice and expertise of the employees.

Small friendly shop with excellent coffee. Due to the limited opening hours, I would like to order from the online shop. However, this is not up to date in terms of both its presentation and, above all, its conditions. Online ordering and then manual advance payment, no, that does not meet current customer requirements. Especially not those of regular customers. It's a shame that there are no lower-threshold conditions for regular customers. So it's best to either go to the local store or go to an alternative provider.

Excellent coffee! Clearly a favorite in the neighborhood, just across the street from the train station. I got it to go.

Terrible costumer service. They closed the door on my face because I left it open to carry a baby stroller for a few seconds.

The coffee here is incredibly good and the staff are brilliant. This is by far the best latte that I have had in a long while and will definitely be coming back soon.

Service was fine, coffee was not so fine. Cappuccino had scalded milk, but espresso may be good for those who like an extremely dark Italian roast.

By far the best coffee I could find at all! I am a fan of the Bologna Roast! I have tried anything and went to all shops that sell coffee beans. They offer a nice espresso and sweets! Very nice service and atmosphere. I am very sad to read negative reviews which I don’t understand but there are always people who needs to bring their negative opinion in the protection of the distance the internet give! Hope I will be coming here for a long time ❤️

We were really looking forward to trying the coffee here, as the description and selection looked interesting. The staff were very nice and cheerful, and the place has a lot of character. There is a large selection of roasted beans, that I did not try, and they may provide better results than the coffee that was served. They do not accept credit or debit card - cash only. I may have simply been unlucky or come on a bad day, but unfortunately the espresso was not well made. The puck was not properly tamped, and it wasn't a good pull. The result was more of a hot mess, I discarded it as it was undrinkable. Loose coffee grinds were everywhere, including on top of the lid and over the milk froth. There are plenty of good reviews (and a few negative ones), so maybe it was just an off day. However, based on this experience - if you are looking for specialty coffee - I would recommend that you look elsewhere.

The best coffee in Basel. With great advice, regardless of whether it’s about the type of coffee or coffee machine, extremely competent! You can also feel the love for your own product in the shop/café. ATTENTION: Since it is a small family business, opening times sometimes take some getting used to... but you can also order online/by telephone, so no star deduction.

Been coming here for years to buy my coffee, one of the best coffee roasters in basel. And while you are there you might as well grab an espresso!

Very competent. With just a few questions I found my taste. The Roma Blend is really outstanding, very well roasted, chocolate notes and full bodied!

Authentic family atmosphere to enjoy excellent coffee aromas. While fresh roasting is taking place in the background, Mr. Filippini likes to take the time at the coffee bar to give even less experienced customers like me an insight into the art of coffee.

My favorit coffee: Oro Fino. My recommendatiin: Linzertorte! So far you cant pay with Postcard, but that is not their fault. The service is very friendy.

Every time I buy beans here I regret it. The coffee quality is fine (sometimes the roasts are old), but I always feel unwelcome, and despite my thorough knowledge in coffee, coffee beans and coffee roasting, the salespersons don't seem motivated to give me detailed info on the beans or their flavour profiles. It was asked 3 times in 2 minutes if I needed my beans ground. No, I need whole beans thank you. I am a home coffee roaster since 10 years, I am glad I have to buy roasted beans only for emergencies but even those few times I do, I regret it. Definitely order online from (name removed) or choose another roaster in Basel, that will at least be happy to serve you. 2 stars, because the quality of the beans and the roast is normally ok. EDIT post answer: my German is good, I always speak German in La Columbiana. I write in English to reach more users. I live in Basel since 2007, I had the same opinion before corona times but decided only now to write a review after so many unwelcome experiences. You cannot always blame masks and corona.

We have been a customer at Columbiana for years. Yes, it's not a Georg Cluny shop. In the Lädeli everything is weighed, filled and packaged. But it smells wonderfully of freshly roasted coffee and Italian specialties behind the glass wall. Thank you for the friendly service, we would be happy to come visit you.

Coffee mecca in Basel with a huge selection of beans. We sipped 5 different, always perfectly extracted espressos with different flavors and a fruity filter coffee (see pictures) and were thrilled not only by the ambience, but also by the family hospitality. A must for coffee lovers. It's a shame you're closed on Sundays. Can we just drink the beans we brought with us at home on Sunday ;-) A little hint; Try the ham croissants.

Not recommended and very unfriendly. Customer friendliness is missing here. Your threats on Google clearly show that you cannot handle criticism and therefore it is certainly recommended to avoid such transactions.

Excellent advice, always freshly roasted coffee, some dry-fermented, you can also try it. The coffee is not expensive here - but somewhere else the coffee is too cheap! Price-performance ratio is absolutely right here :) By the way, you can also just sit at the counter and drink a coffee without buying coffee beans.

I think that the La Columbiana coffee in Swiss is the best I know can only be recommended. Simply always good coffee and top workmanship from roasting to brewing the coffee. and the advice and conditions are simply great I give the shop 9 out of 5 points ;-) I never go to the shop otherwise there is nowhere else here in Basel to drink coffee :-( I wish continued success MFG Eddy
