We had a magical time for my birthday which alone deserved to come to Neuchâtel for this beautiful starred establishment in a pleasant and well-kept setting.

We had an exceptional experience. The welcome and service were of high quality, sincere and family. The level of cooks is high; it’s a real gastronomic journey. It is clearly one of the best restaurants in Neuchâtel. The dishes are delicate and based on a very well crafted base with high quality products... it's a real pleasure to rediscover Italy in the most beautiful way. The wine list is also exceptional and very affordable prices. Let yourself be guided by the sommelier. This restaurant is my favorite!

The restaurant is taken care of down to the smallest details as well as the food, not to mention the kindness of the waiters which mixed with the goodness of their dishes make a perfect mix for a respectable restaurant. The dishes were really good, you could savor all the tastes and different flavors that were in the dish, you could feel the flavor of every single ingredient. Every bite was an explosion of tasty. Compliments to all the staff, from the chef to the room managers, everything was excellent.

We were 4 people and we ate very well. On the other hand, there was a long wait before receiving our plates and it was extremely expensive! Damage

Exceptional welcome by the manager. We arrived without reservations, they made us wait a few minutes before seating us on a beautiful round table. We had a wonderful evening with only good food. Thank you again for your welcome.

We had just arrived in Neuchatêl and checked into the hotel. On the way to the old town we were looking for a good place to eat. We found this restaurant on Google Maps and it was very close. So our expectation was to get something good to eat in a small old town restaurant. We got a table inside. (They were usually booked up, so we got lucky and will make reservations next time) We were really impressed with the attention to detail they seem to have put into the restaurant. When we opened the menu we noticed that the prices are rather upscale, but also that there are probably more elaborate creations to eat here. I am usually a friend of simpler dishes, but was actually surprised here how well these creations with different flavors complemented each other perfectly. It reminded me a bit of kaiseki, a Japanese style of cooking. The bill was as expected for us relatively high, but by the super service, the atmosphere and the palate feast well justifiable. We will gladly visit the restaurant again (this time with reservation) and also recommend it.

It was simply a WOW experience through and through. This is a very upscale Italian restaurant. The ingredients are of high quality, everything was freshly prepared and takes a little time, but I found it wonderfully slowing down and gives the digestion some time. The atmosphere is very stylish. There is a lot of attention to detail in the food and the furnishings. Nothing seems to be a coincidence, everything is chosen very carefully, which comes together to create a harmonious overall picture and an enjoyable experience. When dining, these details are reflected in an exceptional presentation, which is complemented by the service at the table. The sauce is added by the service while the dish is explained. The ingredients are partially abstracted into creams so that they are not determined by the eye and are experienced purely through taste. And so the composition comes together on the palate. When setting it up, I was inspired by the stylish carving knives for home. These and other items can also be purchased in the restaurant.

Quite simply the best Italian restaurant - and one of the best restaurants - in the canton of Neuchâtel. Absolutely perfect service, always smiling and generous, endearing staff, fresh products and very, very high level cuisine. Everything is homemade and it shows! The arrival of chef Gerardo Metta is a blessing and the whole team makes La Dispensa what it is today. I highly recommend !

I am celiac and addicted to dairy products. In this restaurant I ate quietly without the fear of being sick afterwards. Professional service, Tommaso was able to advise us on very good dishes and wine, always with a smile… The team is young and eager to do well. The menu included lots of cheese in each dish (parmesan, ricotta, etc.). Few light dishes (tomato, etc.). My stomach hurt the rest of the evening. Too much to pay for a menu so saturated with cheese and heavy on the stomach. The atmosphere was great and the servers were very pleasant.

A real rediscovery of this place, I went there in the early days, and I really wasn't a fan; having had a history with a waitress and in the kitchen, but I returned there thanks to the words of a friend! And honestly, it was worth it! Whether it's the staff, who are friendly and adorable with us from start to finish, and the dishes are just delicious!! I highly recommend this place, it's been a long time since I was so familiar with Italian cuisine. Great staff, very charming place and very good food. Completely satisfied from starter to dessert. After several visits to this restaurant, I can definitely say that it is the best you can find in Neuchâtel. I tried all the dishes on the menu and I say with absolute sincerity that every choice was perfect, in terms of taste, presentation and quality. We went to dinner Saturday evening with my husband, it was magical. We had a pleasant time discovering different Italian dishes, from starter to dessert we were transported. The servers are very friendly! We visited great restaurants in and around Neuchâtel, this one is not in the guide to haute cuisine but it would have merit. Superb value for money!

Nice setting, nice welcome, unfortunately big disappointment, much too expensive for what it is. We were offered the tuna tataki with vegetables and asparagus cream for 45.-! We received a plate of bland snacked tuna with raw vegetables without any preparation or seasoning and without asparagus cream which could have at least made it better. We expressed the problem to the friendly waiter who thanked us for our honesty and that he would discuss it in the kitchen. We never heard back. Then several errors in the order, return of a decaf coffee which was not, forgetting tea in the teapot, tiramisu to make yourself... the idea may be original but frankly at the price we pay if we come to eat raw vegetables and make your own dessert... you might as well stay at home and eat. Not even a small gesture at the end. Too bad... we won't go back there again.

So so good, amazingly nice place and the food is incredible, the take away is real good too. Always having a good time there. The missing star is for the price tho, especially for take away, it’s quite expensive.
