La Ferme des Brandts puts forward a strong effort, but the food on this visit fell a little flat to receive 5-stars. The Food: Ceviche de filet de sandre to start - light and a nice way to start a meal. My critique, a little more citrus would have been nice to get the pallet salivating. Cochon de lait rôti looked exquisite, but the pork was a bit dry - a major disappointment. The gratin dauphinois were rich - I could have eaten more! The bread is not pictured, but they make it in house - it could have been baked a little longer as it was quite soft. The dessert was the La fee verte en parfait glacé. The ice cream was a disappointment - extremely hard and icy. The Service: Pleasant and welcoming - it felt like we were well taken care of. The Atmosphere: An old school charm at this old farmhouse. A bit drafty - I wouldn’t want to sleep here. A nice fire would have made it a little cozier. Overall, I would return but order something different.

The magic has remained intact and so has the quality of the cuisine, it is hunting season and we feasted on dishes, each one more delicious than the last. Great moment 🌟 simply an inn where everything is right. This ancient and carefully renovated Jura house has several cozy, rustic rooms, lit by many candles on table candlesticks, the old tables beautifully set. The menu is small, with fresh local products, especially meat dishes. The portions are generous and served by very friendly and attentive staff. Nice wine list, I can especially recommend the Oeil de Perdrix for an aperitif, and at the end a fine parfait à la fée verte 😋

I was lucky enough to be able to go there once, it was really good and we had a great evening but it was free for staff and people at the door.

Extremely disappointed with this birthday meal, a vegetarian plate with the accompaniments of the hunt, a few carrots 2 Brussels sprouts an undercooked chestnut half a pear ,and on the other hand unlimited spaztlis...served cold .the venison saddle was good but the accompaniment really sucked 2 chestnuts etc.. in short... What can we say about the service, a young man in country clothes, in short a white shirt and black pants was preferable. We are far from the fame of the Brandt farm, only the dessert was up to par. We came once, not twice.....

Near La Chaux-de-Fonds, in the middle of meadows, the very beautiful Ferme des Brandt displays in its façade stones the date of 1614, almost four centuries. We enjoy local products, notably its suckling pig with dark beer. Reasonable prices and children will appreciate the menu intended for them and the room reserved for games. Everything was perfect including the service. We will go back.

Unique experience in a unique historical place. Welcomed in a building which dates from 1612 -1614, we are kindly directed to our table. Our meal will be spent in the soft light of the candles which illuminate the entire room. The children (and the parents, we admit) thought they were in the world of Harry Potter! Game season obliges, the menu offers a choice of starters and hunting dishes that will make each of us salivate. My husband and I choose different dishes so we can taste everything! Our eldest will have the children's menu consisting of sliced ​​wild boar, accompanied by spätzli and its autumn garnish. For only CHF 9.00 with a syrup and a dessert (crème brûlée) she enjoyed herself and had quite enough (and without lying, being 8 years old, it's better to have her in a photo than in a boarding school 😁). Our youngest, less of a fan of game, chose a classic but still effective roesti ham. He dared to say that it was better than mom's (needless to say, he's been deprived of a restaurant for a while🤣). The staff happily agreed to prepare a smaller one for him. After tasting, a deer tataki, a doe tartare, quail supremes on an artichoke condiment?!?, a deer served in two ways and to finish a trio of sorbets whose flavors we tried to find without success (our charming waitress had to come to our rescue by telling us the flavors of the moment) 😅. We left, full, happy with this moment with family in this exceptional place. The invoice is more than correct given the quality/quantity of the products, the presentation, the welcome and the kindness of the staff! The children before closing their eyes asked when are we going back? Very quickly I think 😄

We had a candlelight dinner in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The setting is truly magnificent. The dishes are excellent, the products are fresh and of good quality. Attentive and friendly staff. Big positive point for parents, there is a games room a little bit away for the children. A children's menu, high chairs, in short everything is done so that parents and children have a good time.

Première fois pour nous à cette adresse, cadre magnifique dans une ancienne ferme, ambiance chaleureuse et sympathique. La cuisine est délicieuse et raffinée, on s'est tous régalés. Il y a un menu enfant à 9.-, donné en vue de la quantité servie. Je me réjouis d'y retourner une prochaine fois.

Excellent de bout en bout !Une tatin aux aux endives et pommes accompagnant un excellent boudin, tellement excellente qu’au départ, on avait décidé de la partager ....bon, ça, c’était au départ...Des pieds de porc désossés avec une sauce au vin extrêmement goûteuse, parfait.Et puis, pour quelqu’un qui ne mange que rarement des desserts, des meringues cuites au feu à bois !!! avec une crème double à tomber Vraiment toutes les bonnes résolutions ont été mises à mal.La serveuse charmante est aux petits soins pour ses clients.Nous avons passé un moment hors du temps, dans une ambiance tellement chaleureuse !

je suis venu en semaine. service moyen. cuisine bonne. manque de passion pour un cadre si beau. désolé mais cela ne vaut pas plus.

Nous étions déjà venus plusieurs fois avec plaisir mais il faut avouer que cette fois nous avons été très déçus.La petite salle (cave) manque cruellement de décoration, sombre avec un vaisselier ancien vide, au milieu de la pièce trône un tonneau avec un chandelier dont les bougies finissent de se consumer. Le point noir est clairement le service car même si le personnel est gentil, les lacunes sont criardes. Nous avons commandé deux selles de chevreuil. Très rapidement installés, le restaurant n’était et de loin pas encore plein. Le vin fut servi rapidement mais ensuite attendre près d’une heure pour deux selles sans aucune explication avant que nous demandions ce qui se passe ce n’est pas acceptable. Excuse confuse d’un échange oubli entre deux tables, difficile à croire. Un amuse bouche aurait permis de faire patienter... Le repas était bon mais juste tiède, dommage. Une assiette pas de deuxième service, une présentation déjà découpée mais voilà...Le geste d’offrir les cafés était le minimum possible.... c’est ce qu’il se passa, le dessert à 11.- ainsi que la venue du chef aurait été les bienvenus.

Chasse vraiment délicieuse, tout fait envie sur la carte, mention spéciale pour le tartare de biche et la meringue cuite au feu de bois. Jolie terrasse derrière avec des jeux pour les enfants et s'il fait beau boire son café au soleil. Chaudement recommandé.

Service nul, verres sales, salle de jeux pour enfants super bruyantes, trafic infernal de parents hélicoptères qui surveillent leurs enfants. Vin servi après le repas, suite à notre insistance. Franchement, quand on demande plus de 35 francs par plats, on attend plus de service. Les petits bougies et le décor ne compense pas tout.
