Good in taste, price and sympathy!

I always recommend this place. The portions are big, the quality is very good, and the prices are surprisingly low for Geneva if you take the menu of the day (which is definitely the recommended choice)! They also have a great cordon bleu, even though it is more expensive. It can get crowded, so better to book in advance. The service can be a bit slow at times. Hidden gem.

People who criticize for the wait: here it is like that, waiting is not so bad if you know how this restaurant works. You don't want to wait??? Go elsewhere 🤷‍♂️(if you want to have your order within the means of other restaurants... you are wrong!!! Let's assume and work according to you: they must hire at least one more person in the kitchen and one more person in the room, do you think we can eat at this price, at this quantity and at this quality???) This place works like it!!! With all my respects, It doesn't suit you to wait...simply, go there or even elsewhere 🙃 (It's true that there is a wait and it's noisy, but that's how it is, we accept we come , we don't accept we don't come back, it's that simple) Regards

This place is always packed and for good reason. The food is delicious and reasonably priced and the staff are really kind. Good atmosphere too, all sorts of people come here. It gets busy on weekends so be sure to make a reservation

You have to make a reservation to have a place to eat there!!! I had lots of recommendations for their cordon bleu... I don't understand the "hype" of the place... It's very noisy we have difficulty hearing each other speak, long service we reserved at 8 p.m. we took our order at 9 p.m.... The restaurant was packed... The Cordon Bleu was not to my taste, you can taste the cheese but when you only taste the meat it is bland, very juicy, very large portion. It's even absurd to have such a huge portion on the plate (so it's quite cheap), the fries on the side are good 👌👌. I definitely won't go back, however if you want a bath in the hubbub and are hungry like an elephant 🤷‍♀️, why not.

Bad welcome, the staff is as warm and friendly as a prison door. The establishment is in its original state, stuck in the 80s. The food is cheap but the dishes are more than basic. In short, if you don't know where to eat at lunchtime and you have limited means why not, otherwise move on..

How well I ate and how well they treated me. And great price for the city. They speak and are Spanish, so it is also a way to feel at home in Switzerland. If I return to Geneva, which I hope so, I will return for sure.

Appearances are deceiving😊 Behind this unpretentious storefront hides an absolutely generous cuisine rich in taste❤️ The quality/price ratio is unrivaled in Geneva (for my part). 💸 The only point on which I can make a (constructive) remark is that some chairs are very wobbly and therefore not very comfortable... The service is fast, efficient and pleasant. I will come back with pleasure. If this place tempts you, I strongly advise you to make a reservation.

Very good fondue, very good entrecôte, very large cordon blue and incredible Steak Tartar. Everything is accompanied by potatoes and salad. The owners are charming and so is the waitress. Ideal restaurant to try typical Swiss food. The waitresses are very attentive, they speak Spanish. Everything we ate was delicious, 100% recommended and at good prices for Geneva.

Absolutely delicious! The beef stew was amazing. Very tender and juicy. The sauce was delightful. The pork tenderloins were all very well cooked. My family and I enjoyed our visit here. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. She even fitted an umbrella in between the roof shades to keep us out of the sun! Great value for money. Very generous portions.

If you are Spanish and are looking for an affordable place to eat or dine in Geneva, this place is perfect. Beers at a good price compared to other places in the city, free ham cap and very good prices for the dishes, 20 euros for a delicious cheese fondue and 30 euros for a 300g entrecôte of horse meat, also great, served with potatoes fries and salad. I would return without hesitation

Are you sick of pretentious restaurants in this super expensive city? This place is for you. This is where the real locals eat: the portions are extra-large and the food is authentic and really tasty, all for, as the owner states, "a democratic price". It has a 1970s vibe, real bohemian, loud and joyful, the regulars are colorful people that enrich the ambiance, the servers are really hard working and are always busy running around. I wish more working-class places like this survived in Europe, so be sure to enjoy this rarity while you still can! (I can confirm, their cordon bleu is legendary)

An institution in decline due to catastrophically slow service, 40 minutes to order. Then half an hour to receive the salads and another half hour for the cordon bleu. At this rate it's becoming ridiculous, last visit for us.

An institution in Geneva, if you like to eat large portions in an old bistro atmosphere, this is the place to go

A real tavern, one of the last in Geneva. Delicious food served in huge portions. For instance, CHF 26.- you get double the portion of beef tenderloin you get elsewhere, for half the price, and with no compromise on quality. You also do not get the pettiness of those other places that will charge you extra for the sauces or the fries. The cordon-bleu and the cordon-rouge are comically huge but they are absolutely delicious. Don't expect fancy decorations and indirect lighting, this is a place where you come to eat well and have a good time.

Reasonable value for money compared to the average prices in Geneva. A slightly dilapidated place, tasty dishes, fast service and friendly, smiling waitresses. I ate lamb cutlets, with a side of vegetables, which were palatable, although according to my taste they should have been more well cooked inside. The strong point is a good plate of raw ham offered on the house. I recommend it to those who don't care about luxury but want simple and tasty cuisine. Rosy

Restaurant to avoid. Extremely long service. After they seated us at the table, no one came to take our order for more than 30 minutes and they didn't even ask us for the drinks to make us wait. In addition, they took the order before us from a person who arrived more than 20 minutes after us as well as another table who came after us. Really disrespectful service especially since we were with a newborn... I won't set foot there again and will cancel it.

Excellent 300 gr entrecote with salad and dessert for 18.-. When we talk about an old, authentic, family-run, popular and inexpensive bistro, you are there. Here you eat your fill because the portions are generous and the welcome is wonderful. All of this is precious and, let’s face it, increasingly rare.

Magnificent places for more than 30 years that I have eaten at this place

Very nice discovery The cuisine is simple but generous , the prices almost made me forget that I was in Geneva. The red cord is a crazy thing..... 🤣 it is huge and delicious. The decor of the restaurant which must date from the 70s or 80s predicts very populo food, rich and without fuss. In short, a good address but remember to book because it's always full!
