A special location, 1km from the road. But the welcome is worth the short walk. A well-balanced menu with a fairly wide choice. Local dishes (Fondues, crusts, cheese, cold meats, etc.), but also more contemporary dishes. Very nice terrace when the weather is good.

Food is good, but it is NOT worth the effort to get there. From Verbier it is 2 busses (that run on inconsistent schedules) and then wait for a snow cat to take you up in a short but pretty uncomfortable ride up the mountain. Then it’s either walking or sledding back down to catch 2 more busses. It was a hour hour meal, 1hr each way and a 2hr dinner.

La Marlenaz is in my opinion, the best restaurant on the slopes of Verbier. You can have the traditional cheese/cured ham Swiss signature dishes, but can also have a fine dining experience. The food is amazing, the presentation makes you not want to eat, and the variety is extraordinary for the location in such altitude. We love coming in winter or in the summer. The staff is so helpful and kind. We feel welcome every time.

A small restaurant/refuge at the top of Verbier with spectacular views. It has a huge terrace where you can have a drink and eat, although from my point of view the prices are somewhat high. Despite that, it was worth it!

In winter, it takes around 30 minutes to reach the restaurant by foot. In summer you can drive almost up to the entrance. The building is an old chalet with a beautiful view and terrace. We have been going there for years and our last visit was very disappointing. We were a large group and had reserved quite a while ago. Despite confirming multiple times the size of our party, they got the number wrong. They quickly accommodated the change. As to the food, the fondue was excellent but the croûte au fromage was rather bland. Deserts were nothing to brag about. The wine was good but rather expensive (60 to 70 francs) The worst part was that the restaurant added a 10% gratuity because we were a group. This might be usual in other countries but not in Switzerland. We asked the manager where this was coming from and he mentioned that when we made the reservation he had sent the menu with the specific mention of the 10% gratuity. We had never opened the PDF attachment as we knew what we wanted. The manager agreed to remove the 10% gratuity and prepared a new bill. Even though the manager was always responsive, it’s about the client experience and the quality of service. Another example of poor service: you can book a transportation with a snowmobile if you do not want to walk for 15 CHF. The trick is that they only bring you to the restaurant but do not bring you back down after dinner. This was never mentioned when I booked the transportation and it could have been complicated if the person transported was not in able to walk back. Personally I’ll not go back despite the superb location. A real pity for a restaurant that has now lost its spirit of hospitality. One more restaurant in Verbier that has become expensive but does not offer an adequate service. It’s also interesting to see that the owner never replies to posts on Google

The Picture perfect restaurant, with well executed dishes and attentive service, La Marleneaz is a must do in Verbier. And those Views...

The most appalling food delivered to the table for lunch. Rosti completely oxidised and grey through out with the exception of the incinerated parts. A slice of frozen breaded cheese and fried onions from IKEA. The dish of the day supposedly Tuna that stank as it was delivered grey and incinerated. A salad with what looks to be a perfect soft boiled freezing cold egg, covered in IKEA fried onions. We left the food paid the drinks and went home to cook lunch. AVOID unless or until a Chef is found who has some pride in the quality of the food. Management clearly are dropping the food cost in a vain attempt to make a margin, due to the stunning position. Very sad

Alpine restaurant well located after your stroll, Merlénaz is a little corner of paradise. The service is top notch 👌 and what can we say about this superb aperitif board for only 24 francs with an incredible view! Thank you to the team for this pleasant moment which will not be the last!

We found La Marlenaz the ideal site for our family reunion of 30 people. The food, presented in a delightful manner, was of a gastronomic level while being abundant. The service adapted perfectly to our pace. The employees were all very accommodating and attentive.

Disappointing. First of all, the place is certainly magnificent with the view of Verbier and the general setting, but the prices are far too high for what is on the plate. The quantities are meager, and for desserts, the vanilla ice cream served half melted and the Denmark cup really small for a very high price.

Traditional mountain restaurant located below the Savoyleres slopes. A bit remote so make sure you get your directions right. Great sunny views of Verbier and the valley below. Its is possible to ski there if there is enough snow cover but can only do so off-piste - there is no marked slopes leading to the restaurant. Can be a great end to the day after skiing off piste in the Savoyleres area. In the summer a lot of hiking paths lead there. Also a great place to host group events like weddings etc.

I came here once during the summer and wanted to check it out during the winter as the food is fantastic. It’s a bit more of a trek to get during the winter. The bus will only take you so far and then you’ll need to walk another 15min to the restaurant. Alternatively from Verbier village, count about 1h walking. That’s what gives this rather remote restaurant its success in my opinion. We had a croûte au fromage et jambon which was excellent and super yummy, a typical specialty from the region. We also had a rösti aux morilles as we remembered it from 4 years ago as being amazing. The recipe changed a little but it was still delicious. Also a Swiss specialty if you ask me. Pricing is … Swiss so of course everything seems expensive. Come here if you enjoy being rewarded with some nice food after your walk!

The setting is divine, but the interior is just as sublime.... We went up at night with our 3 children to have an aperitif (there was no more room to eat there in the evening so no was able to book) and the welcome was lovely! They kindly made a table available for us, served one of the best Valais dishes I have eaten around here, kind, efficient and pleasant. The interior is decorated with care and the view day and night is a marvel! I've been going there for years and I was afraid that with the change of ownership things would change... Well no, it's still a great place!
