In Europe is very difficult to find a place to taste authentic, fine mezcal. That's why this place is quite special not only in Switzerland, but in whole Europe. A must to visit if being in Zurich

Mezcaleria is a very rare gem in Zurich. Nowhere else have I seen such a fine selection of mezcales in Switzerland. I absolutely recommend the artisanals from Real Minero. The place is ran by an super friendly Swiss/Mexican couple that really know their mezcales. The decoration is also remarkable. I particularly liked the jaguar masks and the frescos on the walls.

Its owner David Reyes is a connoisseur not only of mezcal but of the entire context regarding agaves, their production, their industrialization and the whole issue of what it means to produce good mezcals with fair prices and respecting the masters who produce them. It is an excellent option to visit this little piece of Mexico in Zurich.
