Exceptional experience. I was greeted with a complimentary dish from the chef. (I apologize, as I do not remember the name of the dish. Only that it was delicious). The warm bread they bring to the table is so soft in the inside with a nice crust in the outside. And the two butters they bring are amazing; one being a fruity infusion that was a really nice treat to go with every bite. The chef then gifted us with a couple of different macaroons that were so uniquely flavored that you have to experience to really appreciate. For my starter I had the pulled crab and Gillardeau oyster. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavor was next level. So much going on in every bite with the crab, and the oyster was a mouth full of such a unique blend of ingredients that made your eyes roll. Both were incredibly fresh. My friend had the veil shank ravioli, and made me quite jealous, actually, because of how absolutely delicious it was. The sauce was so savory and buttery. The one bite I had was an absolute tease. I had the A5 Kagoshima waygu for my entree, and words can't describe how amazing it was. The sauce that was drizzled over it was so decadent and savory and paired so well with the tender buttery meat. Every bite was heaven. I had a sorbet dessert combination that was a blend of citrus flavors that just exploded with flavor, and shocked you pallet after all of the savory dishes during the meal. Not overly sweet, and the perfect portion to end a perfect meal. A well deserved Michelin Star. The servo was exceptional, and the ambiance was such a great setting for such a meal. I was sat right by the window overlooking the city. I can't recommend this place enough.

The dishes are not only artfully presented, but also a true feast for the senses in terms of taste. Every bite is a delight and shows the craftsmanship of the kitchen team. The selection of dishes is diverse and offers something to suit every taste. The fresh ingredients, which intensify the taste of every dish, also deserve special praise. The food was OK but nothing special, so totally overrated. You can eat much better in Zürich. But the service was great. regarding the atmosphere, it’s really very old fashion style… we were definitely the youngest couple there. There was no music and not really a nice vibe. we had each three plates and one glass of wine and paint Fr.450.

We had a 3-gang lunch. I was surprised by the quick service, that suits business lunch. Every plate was tasty and nice presentations. I personally like cream sauce on the veal, but the soup was slightly too rich and thick for me. The servers were all friendly and professional. We will definitely come back.

The beautiful restaurant has a Michelin ⭐️. Very nice to look at from the outside. Right on the banks of the river and in the city center. The restaurant is beautiful to look at thanks to the wooden beams. Good prospect for the summer when it gets nicer again. Nice staff that is very friendly. Only the lamp in the middle of the hall... should reattach the cover ring. Looks like it's falling... The food is something completely different. Extra fine, with a different flavor. Delicious and the dessert was a great decoration of various sweets. You can dine comfortably with relaxing and calm piano music. 👍

We had the tasting menu with the A5 Waygu add on. Most of the food in Switzerland is either too bland or too salty. This meal was unfortunately consistent with that. The service was outrageously slow on all accounts and the meal was poorly coursed. They neglected to refold napkins when we stood up for a WC break. The best dish was the oyster with an elegant green mignonette. All of the other seafood dishes were poorly executed — fish was bland, lobster bisque was unappetizing, and the crab was fishy. The tortellini was terrible — pasta texture was unpleasantly hardened and the taste was completely overpowered by salt, butter, and cheese. The Japanese A5 was unfortunately over dressed and accompanied. It’s an offense to the cow — cooked correctly, this meat deserves to shine on its own. The menu was trying too hard with too many off balance flavors and textures. The wine was great, which is to be expected as table stakes. I’m consistently disappointed by the lack of discernment of the Michelin star program — maybe it was better last year when it was awarded?

From the moment we entered La Rôtisserie we knew we were in for something special. The service far exceeded our expectations - it was beyond excellent. The staff was extremely friendly, very accommodating and attentive, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Our water glasses were never empty, which shows the care and attention of the staff. The food was nothing short of sensational. We opted for the full 7 course meal, and every dish was a masterpiece. It was exactly what you would expect from fine dining. Since I'm personally not a fan of deer, I chose the Wagyu instead. Although it was a little lacking in meat for me personally, I have to admit that it was the best meat I've ever tasted. A special moment of the evening was when a waiter asked us if we had something to celebrate. After I told him we were celebrating our anniversary, the restaurant surprised us with a little gift and a sparkler - a gesture that made our evening even more memorable. Overall, our visit to La Rôtisserie was a wonderful experience. It's the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or simply treat yourself. We will definitely come back.

I ve visited many restaurants around already, but this one made it to the top. The dishes are not only beautifully prepared, the food was full of flavor and very delicious. The service was attentive and reacted quickly, as soon something was finished. That was a big plus for us. The chocolate desert was my personal highlight. The price was the same than in other restaurants. But the quality was higher, so we definitely recommend.

The food (-> gourmet menu on the recommendation of the boss) with wine accompaniment is a poem for the eye and the palate. For a personal occasion you can also get a great table with a view of Zurich City. Very much enjoyed, gladly again.

Traditional restaurant and guild house in the heart of Zurich. We were on the terrace in the summer, which is one of the most beautiful places in Zurich to linger and dine. Service was very courteous, food was elegant and at a high price level. The various dishes at our table were of the highest quality - unfortunately, something like a Rösi didn't really work - bland and soggy.

We were seated at the beautiful shaded terrace of La Rôtisserie, which is gently decorated with flowers and towers above the Limmat river. You can enjoy the most serene and picturesque view of the old center under a perfect blue sky and gentle sun. Serviced perfectly by Sitta, we enjoyed the full lunch menu with paired wines, a true testimony to the culinary genius of Michelin Star Chef Stefan Jäckel who like no other brings an elegant harmony of tastes in every dish. The best culinary experience I have had in my life.

Dinner at La Rotisserie, one Michelin star 😋 French Foie Gras Apple | Celery | Granola At first I thought this would be Seared 🤣 At first it felt strange when I tasted it, but if I eat it with Apple or Celery Sorbet it's fine. Norwegian scallop Radish | Cucumber | Dashi additionally with 10g Kaviari Kristal caviar + 30 I just thought this was too much cucumber. The aroma and taste completely outweighs the Caviar. This dish came with Comsumme dashi scallop, which I thought was too salty. Breton Lobster Sea Urchin | Pomelo | Bitter Salad This Lobster is ok. Below, there will be chawanmushi type underneath. It will come with Dip. Veal filet «Züri Style» Mushroom cream | Butter rösti | with or without kidney This dish is delicious. At first I thought I couldn't eat Kidney, but it turned out to be the most delicious thing. Comes with sauce and mashed mushrooms. Australian Wagyu Short Rib Asian Flavors | Lettuce | Burrata The meat is very soft and this dish is well done. But maybe that's not what Expected in a Swiss restaurant It's OK. Just order the same as before. If you order again, but delete the Scallop. Overall Great experience from the wait staffs The food was great, if there is something for improvement, it was the dashi soup that comes with the scallop. It was too salty. Other than that I have no complaint. Definitely a great experience.

Solid cooking and a well deserved star for the quality of cuisine. Food tempo could be much improved, we had first 2 dishes far too fast and then waited ages for the last 2. Very limited extras in the menu: tiny amouse bouche, no welcome from the chef, no pre-desert. Wine mark up is one of the highest we found, even for Zurich. Small details but it's what makes the difference between good and great, so only 4 stars. Later edit: service went significantly down since last visit. Not only not deserving of a star, but not even of a general fine dining spot. Lunch value is very low, very boring dishes and worse of all, food was over-salted. Overall a let down we would not return thereafter.

Food was good, service was horrendous. If you are used to Parisian dining, would give this a miss. The waitstaff were more interested in setting up the tables for the next morning, than attending to us. We had 5 courses. For 3 courses, the food was just dumped on our table with no explanation of what the meal entailed, and the last course was forgotten until we reminded the waitstaff about it. We also got served dessert wine with our main course, and had to wait for the maître d'hôtel to request our plates be cleared. There are much better fine dining experiences in Europe (can't go wrong in Paris), and this one is definitely not Michelin worthy. Perhaps German is a prerequisite to being served here. Not recommended if you like feeling looked after, and therefore not value for money.

The 1-hour lunch is the best-value Michelin-starred meal in Zürich. (It's well-priced for a Michelin-star meal in general, much less one in Zürich old town where prices are generally high.) If you can score a table outside on a sunny day in the spring or summer, La Rôtisserie is worth every penny. Reservations available on their website. I've never scored a lunch reservation the week of but a week earlier in summer, I've usually easily gotten a table, especially when I go early. (before noon) Alas, I've never been to dinner at Rôtisserie so the rating is for the 1-hour lunch only (which I've tried many times—the menu changes weekly). Service is consistently great, as well.

Food was good, but if you're not visiting the cigar bar after dinner, the experience was merely 'good' for Zürich. The restaurant ambiance was rather bland, but the staff was attentive, polite, and well-informed. We had the 5-course with wine pairing. The pork belly course was excellent and was paired with a really nice Austrian wine. Would recommend - but suggest daylight dining so you get a good waterside view, otherwise the experience suffers somewhat.

Value for money: terrible. The only plus point is the enchanting location and the internal environment. But if we talk about cooking, it's better to forget it. We went to dinner (birthday party). We had the 5 course. Arrived at 6 p.m. and was then shown to the table in a very friendly manner. 5 minutes later four people came from the neighboring table. When we arrived they asked for an ashtray and from then on we were covered in fog. We couldn't really enjoy the food because we aren't smokers. After politely offering not to smoke while eating, they just ignored it! I then complained to the receptionist and she told me that smoking was allowed after the main course. Apparently all service staff were instructed this way, but not ours.

Two stars because of the view, which is very romantic in the terrace. Otherwise it was just a very expensive food poisoning that me and my friend had in this restaurant. When I contacted the hotel about the incident they denied that it could have been related the dinner we had, suggesting it was just coincidence me and my friend got food poisoning the same day, despite this being the only place we were together. Further they ignored my subsequent email. Otherwise, the food is well made and well presented but it’s nothing special or exciting. Not worth the pain. For my celiac friend they brought a bread microwaved inside a wet plastic bag. Other Michelin star restaurants in Zurich have better options for gluten-free people.

While the view from the terrace is breathtaking and most of the food is good, the service in this restaurant is absolutely atrocious and not worthy of a Michelin star. Let’s start with the good: the foie gras appetizer was outstanding and the beef main coirse was equally good. The view from the outdoor seating area is beautiful. Let’s go on to the less good: The desserts are the weakest part of the food. The raspberry dessert was far too soir, with the sour taste overpowering any other taste. The mascarpone dessert was not very appetizing, either. Still, the desserts are not horrible, but are clearly not as good as the rest of the food. There was also a bit of dirt one one of our bread plates when we arrived. Now to the really bad part: The service. We noted the following things. 1) The service is very slow. Even though the restaurant was only half-full, we waited one hour for our appetizers. I cannot understand why a table of three people would have to wait that long for appetizers. 2) The staff are absolutely unprofessional. Even before we entered the restaurant, we saw three chefs leaning against a wall, smoking and laughing loudly in the view of everyone. I understand that the staff need to take breaks, but it is appalling how they do so right on the Storchengasse street in the view of anyone entering the hotel. This is unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. When describing our main course, the waiter tried to describe the dishes and failed to do so. He stuttered the description of the first dish, then stopped midway through the second main course. He then walked up to his colleagues and said that he had forgotten the description. Instead of him or his colleagues doing anything about this issue, he simply laughed. The rest did nothing. He did not even bother to describe the third dish. 3) The waiters are far too proactive, bordering on aggressive. As soon as our drinks were empty, the waiter would come up in the same minute and refill them. There was no time for a break at all, glass after glass of wine were instantly refilled. Still, this is a minor issue compared to the prior ones I have listed, it’s only a small annoyance. The other issues, however, are absolutely appalling, especially at a Michelin-starred restaurant. It’s very sad that we enjoyed our food for the most part, but this was overshadowed by a horrendous service.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Zurich - and has been for almost 25 years. The terrace is probably the most beautiful place in Zurich for an unforgettable dinner. Directly on the Limmat, with a fantastic view! And the kitchen is currently reaching its absolute peak. Bravo. The service was super friendly, professional and paired with humor. This makes you feel very comfortable as a guest. Thank you! PS: It was a shame, however, that "our" service "disappeared" during dessert. The colleague took over well, but we would have appreciated a personal farewell.

How come this restaurant is a Michelin? Very mediocre, overpriced food and horrible service. We pretty much served ourselves because the waiter didn’t bother to move around the plates when the new courses came. And we have to wait for a good 20min for every request we made. Don’t waste your money.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary in the rotisserie of the Hotel Storchen. Our table by the window offered an enchanting view of the Limmat and the Grossmünster. Top-class culinary cuisine. I didn't know that a simple salad could be prepared and presented so deliciously. We would then be treated to a veal fillet or a Züri sliced meat. The meat was buttery tender and almost melted in your mouth. The crispy fried Rösti with the delicious sauce rounded off our main course. Friendly, very attentive staff who served us very courteously. It wasn't the last time we were there Be sure to reserve!

Going in, I can clearly see the restaurant is trying to make it specious for each table (which is great especially during covid). We got the best view of the tower. We love how they explain the manu, not demanding too much of our attention, but share the story of each nonetheless. The wine selection was great too! The food was great, as expected for the price 😆

The restaurant has been awarded 17 Gault Millau points and 1 Michelin star. We reserved "La Rôtisserie" for our Christmas dinner. It was supposed to be the highlight of the year and the anticipation was correspondingly great. We liked the atmosphere with the high-quality Christmas decorations and the fire in the beautiful fireplace, even though we weren't sitting in the historical part of the restaurant but in the somewhat dark anteroom. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered Stefan Jäckel’s 7-course recommended menu. The boss made an effort to conjure up visually sophisticated creations on the plate. Although these were modernly inspired, the taste was absolutely mediocre, which in no way corresponds to the high standard that one can expect in a restaurant in this price range. Conclusion: Great expectations and (for the third time) great disappointment. I won't come here again because there are many better alternatives in Zurich.

Excellent service and ambiance however our food (primarily fish) was not tasting good. We ordered the full menu at 185CF per person. The first three dishes tasted like bad/old fish. I am not a picky eater, I eat most anything. However after three of six courses we asked for the meal to stop. The best part of the experience was the manager who comped the entire meal, including our drinks. I am surprised our food tasted bad because of the upscale ambiance and hotel. The kitchen must have had an off night with bad ingredients.

La Rotisserie certainly boasts one of the most beautiful dining rooms in Zurich, that's for sure. Perched just above the Limmat, with views reaching to the Alps on a clear day. So does the food live up to the environment? In short, yes it does. Our table of four was on a tight schedule as we had tickets for the opera that evening. The impeccable service however managed our dinner efficiently and without any rush. We went a la carte, my starter was the signature dish of the restaurant - Ravioli with veal shank filling served with truffle sauce. Spot on, especially the old school sauce Perigord rocked. Other starters at the table were fresh ceps in butter and pork belly with eel. Both were very good. My main dish was a classic - Züri Geschnetzeltes with Rösti. Veal in a rich, creamy sauce topped with chopped kidney and champignons, served with a "patty" of roasted potatoes. This is again old school, heavy and absolutely satisfying. My partner's main dish of venison, mushrooms and polenta was also quite nice. Wine list isn't too extensive but well sorted and representative of all major European wine growing regions. We shared a nice bottle of Montagny 1er Cru by Louis Latour, one of the more economically priced options on the list. Mark ups are, as one could expect, on the higher side of the spectrum. Overall, a landmark restaurant in Zurich that I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a classy dinner.

Saluto dalla cucina: un paio di capesante crude con verdurine e frutta abbinata con una piccola minestrina di carote con zenzero.Antipasto: piccolo trancio di tonno scottato con un sfogliatina. Piattino originale: si trattava di un contenitore di caviale ripieno di una mousse di patate con nel fondo dei pezzetti di polpa di granchio, servito con delle alghe e caviale.Un porro abbrustolito servito con dei pezzettini di pesce (quest'ultimo non era così piacevole da vedere, ma molto buono).Una mousse di polenta con dei piccoli ravioli colorati e dei funghi prataioli.Il piatto principale era un trancio di bue Waygu giapponese con una salsina ottima.Per dessert: una mousse di burrata ed in seguito un dessert molto sfizioso panna cotta con una granita ed un gelato alla lattuga e cetriolo. Dieser war alles andere als schön für ein spezielles Essen. Obwohl erst kaum Tische belegt waren, wurde uns mitgeteilt ein anderer Tisch sei nicht machbar. Sehr entäuschned. Wir haben uns entschieden wieder zu gehen. Der Hoteldirektor, Raphael Pedroncelli, hat das Geschehen beim Herauslaufen mitbekommen und uns gleich darauf angesprochen. Herr Pedroncelli war sehr freundlich und äusserst zuvorkommend.
