We had our NY's eve dinner there. The place was lovely and also the food was good. Only the porcine pasta could have had a bit more sauce. The Primitivo was delicious and also the starter. Bringing the food could have been a bit quicker, but it was quite full given the time of the year. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good. Overall 4*.

Unfortunately, as a cyclist you are just ignored here. We asked several times to receive the card, but the waitress just acted as if we weren't there. Very arrogant and terrible service. I can only recommend the San Marco to the right. The service there was wonderful.

Very nice evening for a business dinner. Good food and good service. We had a grilled sea bream and a sea bass in a salt crust. The lemon risotto was lovely too!

We had a great evening with candlelight, a very good sea bream which was filleted at the table. But the kicker was the Parmesan soup as a starter.

Excellent Italian restaurant, top cuisine and welcoming and dynamic service. Everything was really perfect, we were there for the first time but we will definitely be back again. Congratulations indeed 👍

We went to the aperitif on September 14th at 7 p.m. 2nd attempt. Service was unfriendly and only speaks Italian. At 8 p.m. the parasols were closed and everything began to be prepared for closing. There were still enough guests. The last order was called around 9:15 p.m.?? We definitely cannot recommend this restaurant.

Diluted beer, diluted Hugo, diluted place! Service is a catastrophe, waiter brought the wrong stuff and was rude. Wanted to eat there, but that service and horrible drink put us off, so we went to the restaurant next door. Would have not deserved a tip, we still gave one, and the waiter didn’t even say thank you….

Pizzaria right on the lake and therefore a great atmosphere when the weather is nice. Also has a terrace on the first floor should the weather not be good.

SERVICE: top, very friendly and attentive. it had many guests. TOILETS: clean WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE: the toilets are not wheelchair accessible. FOOD: we had dessert. As you can see in the picture: this coup Denmark was served exactly like this. doesn't look nice to the eye. The ice cream was ok but not particularly good. I won't come here for dessert again. TIP TO THE CHEF: new flavor of ice cream - e.g. mövenpic. our daughter had a chocolate ice cream. that wasn't tasty. the taste was a little chemical.

Visited for the second time, ignored by the service staff the first time and only served after repeated inquiries. Now the second time I had the same experience, not served even after repeated inquiries... What a shame... We then decided on the San Marco next door, where we received a very warm welcome.

We wanted to reserve a table for a class reunion, but then received overpriced offers. After requesting a simple menu, the reservation was canceled online without comment or call, absolute disgrace!

We were there for a business lunch with important customers. I am thrilled with the restaurant and also the bar below. The food and wine were terrific, the service was very flexible (eat spontaneously outside) and courteous. We'd love to come back, keep it up!

Good food and very nice service

La Scala is an italian restaurant, located right at the lake of Zurich. It's got a beautiful ambiente, neatly decorated. The staff are very friendly and pay attention to details. The dishes were excellent, be it the Risotto or the sea bass in salt crust. The fish was done to perfection and revealed from the salt crust at the table. Price wise on the higher side, but thats a given, concidering the location. All in all, definitely a place worth visiting.

We spontaneously wanted to eat something today. Place empty at lunchtime. Unfortunately, we as a family with a stroller (daughter 3 months old) were not welcome. In other words, the stroller would have had to stay outside, and this in an empty restaurant! One door further we were warmly welcomed!

Since we only had something to drink, I can't comment on the food. I can agree with the other recessions who had to accept a long wait. We and the neighboring tables simply had to wait too long for 4 coffees. A pity

Location was nice, and the Hugo was good, but the Aperol was very, very watery. The service was very poor, we were a large table of 15 people, and the alcohol was going very well. But the service never came to ask if anything else was needed. We always had to look up ourselves and ask the service to come to our table because some people still wanted to order. We sometimes waited 15 minutes for a beer. And sometimes even longer for larger orders. The restaurant wasn't very busy, so this could have been a little quicker. The service wasn't particularly accommodating either. Once never again.

Unfortunately it was too expensive and we had to wait a little longer. The menu was pretty sparse in terms of selection.

Was at La Scala for the first time and found space on the upper terrace. The service was friendly and there were no long waiting times. The visit was a complete success. This is what we ate: As a starter: Caprese & spinach salad As a main course: tuna tartare & beef fillet For dessert: Baileys Semifredi & Affogato

We ate very well and were served very friendly, even if it took a while before we could pay.

The dishes are too expensive for what you get. Never thank you again.

Inattentive conditions, small portions & expensive, food was still tasty

Ordered veggies with my fish in stead of patato... Got patato and no correction or apology. Small porsions. CHF36 for 6 fish nuggets, 3 salad leaves, 3 stripes of sweet peppers and 10 small cubes of patato.

The food at Ristorante La Scala was a bit better compared to the neighboring dieci Pizza&Pasta Restaurant Rapperswil! It tastes like it does in Sicily - authentic and almost incomparable! Afterwards we went for a nightcap at FahrBar Hensa ;-). Simply absolutely cozy and great - even if it tore a huge hole in my wallet ;-))))

Of course, as always, we booked a table first and then immediately drove to Rapperswil. It's a good idea for everyone in Rapperswil to always first check whether they can go to a particular restaurant in this town or not. This used to be possible and there were also parking spaces available directly in front of the restaurants on the quay, but for several years now you have to park your car in the parking garage next to the train station, which is located directly on the main street, if you have a parking space in it when it is completed Parking garage turned out to be much too small. Then you go up the lower floors by stairs or elevator and then across the square directly to the restaurant. The pictures attached here show the view or the view of the restaurant from the dam. When we got there, we were asked very politely whether we had just made a reservation and luckily we had, otherwise we wouldn't have gotten a place at all, because it was very well occupied and there was even a private party on the top floor, so we had it We immediately got our table and were handed the really nicely arranged menu. The furnishings are really very attractive and very nice and well maintained. After a long wait, which we didn't understand particularly well, because all the surrounding tables who came later than us already had their food on the table, what arrived on our table was, firstly, really well cooked and visually very beautiful and prepared and the portions were really sufficient. It was really very cozy there and if you wanted to sit outside, you would have found a place either on the lowest floor at the entrance outside, or on the first floor where we were, on this very nice terrace with a fantastic view of the Rapperswil harbor basin, of course felt very comfortable. Highly recommended in terms of the food and the ambience, but you can't park directly in front of the restaurant and you should think about where to park your car.

Very nice service, who felt like she was running the place alone. Compliments to you, strong performance. Otherwise I was pretty ripped off, I don't know if it was the boss but someone from the restaurant came and said there was tagliatele tartufo. I love truffles so ordered without hesitation. Not on the menu but on offer. Well the food came, empty pasta in a watery sauce without anything, truffle was grated over it. So far so good. But on the palate it's an endlessly bland disaster. Nothing worked without seasoning with salt and pepper. So we ate badly. However, the hammer came with the bill. The truffle was expensive, that was clear. A good 40.- extra for that. But a plate of watery noodles for almost 30 euros that tasted like nothing without any decoration or anything else. An impudence. For such a price I expect better quality. It's good that there are better restaurants left and right. Bon app. Wishes en goode.
