La Sorgente in Vico Morcote

We went to the restaurant La Sorgente for an aperitif at lunchtime and dinner in the evening. The outside area of ​​the restaurant is great and the view is incomparable. The lunch menu is a bit expensive for what is on offer. The dinner was very good but didn't quite meet our high expectations (therefore a slight deduction). The courses came too quickly one after the other despite asking the service to pause for a while. The wine selection is great and the price is absolutely reasonable. So there is a bit of room for improvement and we look forward to the next time.

We had dinner here on Saturday September 30th, 2023. The location is a dream, outside and inside). Our meal was too (beef fillet with porcini mushrooms, duck liver - foie gras). We were thrilled with the quality. The beverage selection is primarily aimed at wine drinkers (bottles). The extremely hospitable, we assume "boss" of the restaurant, was very helpful, friendly and polyglot. We found the service staff who brought drinks and food to our table to be significantly less friendly. This was also confirmed when we asked her about a possible translation of the desserts. Meaning: it only exists in Italian. We received a benevolent translation from the “boss” that was appropriate for the establishment. The desserts were regionally influenced and very tasty. Overall, a great culinary delight and a unique moment in beautiful Morcote.

Buono. Per finire caffè. Tutte le portate sono state descritte dal cameriere che ci ha servito tutta sera, tempistiche perfette, servizio impeccabile.
