I have never experienced it being that expensive: 4 small beers, 2 hamburgers, 80 euros. not normal

Last night, when we arrived at your terrace, we had to “catch” one of the waiters to find out if you could accommodate us. He tells us yes and shows us the table from a distance. Suffice to say that the welcome is not one of the best, but so far no worries. We sit down and a young woman sets the table and takes the order for aperitifs with great kindness and availability. We said to ourselves, this is going to be great, it’s just as we thought given the name and the years of the house. The waiter brings us the Spritz and a Ricard. The Ricard without water next door. But it does not matter. We ask the girl to bring us the card which looks really good. Shortly after, the girl comes to take the order. Without calpain, but we trust even if we notice that she doesn't know the house very well. We said to ourselves that she was certainly new or an extra. It doesn't matter because she really goes to great lengths. With all the tables, she takes orders with kindness and courtesy. After an hour we didn't have the entries and I started to observe. There weren't many tables left and the service was almost at the end since it was already 9:30 p.m. The waiter only cares about his rank and goes empty-handed and never looks up to see if everything is okay with the other tables. Suddenly, I notice that there is also another girl who serves... but who we very rarely see outside because she is always stuffed inside! So I get up to go back and ask if they knew if our starters were going to arrive since it had already been an hour! There, the three waiters ask me which table I am at and what I had ordered. Our waitress told them she gave them a ticket in the kitchen. In short, it wasn't very worrying or serious for any of the servers. I return to the table and the waiter gives us a pitcher of 2dl of white wine that I had ordered. But without the glasses. We wait to see him again to ask him for two glasses and he arrives with them, sets them down for us... without serving the wine... and without even trying to get rid of the empty aperitif glasses. The starters finally arrive after we notice that they had not even been passed before a table of 6 who had just arrived since we had been waiting for an hour and a half. When the waiter asks us the starters we tell him to kindly cancel the rest. Imperturbable, the boy does not apologize. We eat our starters which we must say are beautifully presented and pleasant. On the other hand, the tartare did not come with toast and we asked for bread which never arrived! I'm going back to pay. They give me the bill and not an apology or a gesture. I tell them and they tell me that they are simple employees. Their attitude is truly Menfutism. Easy to blame the girl who didn't know the house but who tried so hard. We finished eating at McDonald’s at 10:15 p.m.! Overall, I strongly advise against this restaurant

Excellent food, great location... Unfortunately the confusing service ruins everything :( We were served by three people, orders were forgotten, wrong things were served, cutlery was lost cleared away and forgotten the next time you go. It wasn't that bad, but several times and systematically, the couple next to us felt exactly the same. Felt like hidden camera. A pity!!! Because the food is great!

Establishment that I frequent regularly.....first of all for A) the quality of the staff which I admit has character ;-); B) the TOP quality of its dishes...although sometimes I hesitate if it's not B) before A)....and if it's neither A), nor B) because I'm in a bad mood then it remains C ) ... the DECO of the place...for D) there remains the pretty terrace....but negative point (I found one...) winter is the NORTH...GOOD FOOD

Pleasant setting and very good food, although in insufficient quantity. The quality of service was very poor and the waiting time was enormous, especially for dessert where we had to wait 45 minutes and a coffee was missing.

A boss not worthy of the name. After paying 7.50 francs for a bottle of water, what's more, I didn't encapsulate it, still water carbonated by him! I dared to ask at the end of the meal for a carafe of water, This lady's response: no free carafe, I have to pay my staff to fill the carafe, put it in the fridge and you bring it. My arms fell from me. I feel very sorry for his nice waitresses. Above all, go your own way!

A little disappointed with our visit to the flying cow... The terrace attracted us but the cuisine was not great, which is a shame because we feel the potential.

Absolutely avoid. How to say from arrival to departure nothing is to be kept. Reservation canceled by the restaurant without any prior call. Sorry for having done the half marathon before. Then we were put in full sun with 2 parasols which kept falling. 20 minutes to take our drink order. We finally take our order 30 minutes later, we desperately ask for bread 3 times in a row with our starters and in the end we are told that there is no more bread left. Then the dish arrives in 4 batches, so at 8 some ate cold. Decent perch fillets but horrible fries, 1 to 2 cm max length on a small bowl and super greasy. We finally order the desserts at 14chf after 30 minutes we ask where they are and we are told that they have just been put in the oven. Small clarification restaurant empty for more than 1 hour. So it's not related to the rest of the tables. We cancel because we have a train to catch. And to top it all off, when we add the bill we are charged for coffees not served. So I would like to point out that this restaurant, in addition to having terrible service and more than average cuisine, are thieves. The only response from the servers sorry. No commercial gesture. So a U-turn advice and as Jeff Tuche would say, run away, run away

Very disappointed with this experience. Poor service and food. Considering the prices, the dishes deserve to be of much better quality. Long wait to take the order and be served (more than 45 minutes for the starter). Wine served below the limit of 1dl.

I couldn't eat because she didn't serve me on the terrace. Not very practical to have one if you don't use it! In short, the food is more or less good but the service is 0.

Quite bad experience: first of all, we had booked for 9, OK no worries, then when we arrived we were put on the terrace and mentioned that at midday they don't take anyone inside. Well OK, Covid test for nothing but it doesn't matter, fortunately we took the jacket because that September 30, even with the sun, the temperature was low. We sit on a picnic table without a backrest and we receive the card. We try to order two different beers which are no longer available, OK no worries we'll have something else. The menus are no problem in terms of taste, the meats are good, however the fries are a little poor in terms of quantity. Finally, the dessert disappointed us all, except the tiramisu, with the overcooked chocolate cake which contains, NOT mentioned, a raspberry coulis inside, and the dessert from the daily menu being a very small tartlet with strawberry, we expected a lot from this restaurant. Waiting time of 20 minutes, even though we were warned that the tartlet would take 7 minutes to cook as it is homemade. Disappointed, we will not come back again. Please note, no VAT number on the ticket!

Good morning, I'm sorry to have to say this, but this restaurant has lost its luster. Big disappointment yesterday. We came at 9, having booked a week in advance. We are installed on the terrace, without having been warned, even though it is cold, even though we have all managed to get the social pass. The service is not left out. One of the waiters picks his nose among the customers, then wipes his hand on the apron before continuing his service. The glasses of red wine ordered for the meat course arrive between the main course and dessert. Tartar without toast, you have to ask and it arrives 10 minutes later. The soft chocolates are burnt on the edges and it’s a surprise to discover a raspberry coulis inside not announced on the menu. In summary, is it really a chocolate cake? The icing on the cake, my friends who took the menu, the dessert is not the tiramisu (like on the menu on the internet), but a mini strawberry tartlet, but so small that it is an amuse-bouche . In short, we are disappointed despite the quality of the meat.

I returned today to this restaurant which I really liked even though I hadn't been there for a long time. And it must be said that everything was catastrophic, despite only 25 seats and two servers and an endless wait. After my request to know whether the perch came from Lake Geneva or were defrosted, the waiter spent long minutes in the kitchen to finally tell me that they came from Eastern countries. So I choose a meat with blue or rare cooking and they bring me a pre-cut charred steak. Overwhelmed by the 12 customers he was in charge of, the waiter explained to me at length that since he had not written anything down he had forgotten along the way. After a long time he came back with meat that was somewhere between well done and a light rosé. Then the very self-important and completely incompetent waiter made a series of mistakes between coffee and espresso, and my colleague forgot his dessert. . The funny thing is that following my remark about the very long service times when there was hardly anyone there, the waiter explained to me that for quality cuisine it took time! Then when it was time to pay the bill on which everything was billed and noting the long disappearance of our server we went to pay inside where the staff present was sullen without us knowing why. This is why having to return to Matigny soon I will spend my money elsewhere

Prices way too expensive for what it is. Not very original card and very average execution. When you are asked if it is good and you give your opinion, the staff does not appreciate it and even gets angry. Don't expect a discount on your bill or a free coffee or even peanuts (although clearly: 3 tapas had only been half eaten because it wasn't great...). Staff not the friendliest. No, frankly, the 3 times we were there, we left not really satisfied. So it's decided: we're not going there anymore.

Avec mon compagnon nous avons été dans ce restaurant notre étonnement fut garanti. Acceuil sympa et chaleureux. Patrons jeunes en couple et sourire sympathie gentillessse et bon conseil.Bien mangé et vins et bière bonnes.Nous nous réjouissons d y retourner.Allez y ca vaut le détour sincèrement.Même si pour moi perso je préférerais une cuisine plus basique.Nous leur souhaitons le meilleur et au plaisir de vous revoir.Et avec la moto top car place pas loin.

Il est parfaitement normal qu'un restaurateur facture l'eau servie à table par du personnel qui coûte au patron ainsi que l'électricité le loyer et autres frais de fonctionnement ...... Surtout si le restaurant s'est équipé d'un distributeur à eau qui micro-filtre l'eau du robinet qui n'est jamais exempt de bactéries. L'appareil refroidi ou gazéifie l'eau. Quand votre ordinateur est planté, vous téléphonez à un informaticien, vous souhaitez qu'il vous dépanne sur le champs par téléphone ! Et lui, comment gagne-t-il savie.

Nous voilà arrivés dans ce charmant restaurant sur la place centrale de martigny. Super emplacement, respectant les mesures instorées.Nous avons commencé par un apéritif en bas cocktails et toast de foie gras,cuit à la perfection accompagné d'un pain délicieux.Nous sommes ensuite montés manger à la mezzanine. Super décoration et assez décalé, nous sommes placé par la gérante, très agréable et sympathique. Elle nous conseille quelques plats à la carte mais nous avons choisis en entrée un poke bowl de thon rouge, léger et frais puis nous avons manger le burger... Un vrai délice !Après tout ça nous avions plus la place pour rien mais on reviendra pour manger des desserts !Je vous le recommande, c'est sûr !

We dineerden hier en wisten geen keuze te maken uit de verschillende Zwitserse witte wijnen. Onze gastvrouw liet ons heel attent drie verschillende wijnen proeven. Zo maakten wij de keuze voor een perfect diner.

Attention! Je pense que si vous y allez manger, vous allez commander du vin? Éventuellement et même certainement également une carafe d’eau? C’est là que que la vache devient voleuse...un litre d’eau du robinet, même si vous avez consommé déjà du vin, égal la quantité, 10.-chf le litre!,,,?... Évitez ce restaurant! C’est le seul conseil que je puis vous donner......

Deuxième passage pour nous à la vache qui vole! Et deuxième fois très très satisfait! Ambiance sympathique dans un cadre atypique avec un personnel formidable, souriant et motivé. Carte variée et de saison, avec d’excellents produits. Le prix est en rapport avec l’assiette qui regroupe présentation, qualité et quantité, rien à redire si ce n’est que c’est délicieux on ce sent les bienvenus y compris le chien! Petit bémol sur la carte des vins qui est bien diversifiée mais dont les prix sont élevés....en tout cas pour nous. A part ça l’ambiance vaut le détour, c’est sûr qu’on reviendra.

Jolie carte gâchée par le service: patronne antipathique et susceptible au possible confirmé par les autres avis ci-dessous mais surtout le jeune serveur à lunettes rondes pour notre part! Seul pour tout l'étage bondé par la saison de la chasse qui sature la cuisine et pénurie notre carte, après 20 minutes il revient enfin nous demander à boire la fameuse carafe surfaite eau de source de Champex-Lac même si l'intention initiale de consommer local et réduire les trajets typiques source San Pellegrino comme bien raconté au 4e de couverture de la carte pour les lecteurs jusqu'au boutistes... Sa cheffe prend le relais et blague sans sourire qu'elle va le "fesser pour l'attente" (!) LOL trêve de plaisanterie déplacée même aussi jeune couple que nous sommes (sans enfants ce soir là fort heureusement) bref je disais donc que ledit jeune serveur initial s'est obstiné à nous faire poireauter toute la soirée car il était trop occupé avec ses copines-clientes de la table d'à côté avec qui il préparait déjà sa fin de service pfff pathétique et encore aucun remord ni excuse ni geste après avoir oublié le pain de seigle AOC de la planchette assortiment valaisan et qu'il a même remis la carte en doute à ce sujet ! Today, I treated myself to a nice outing in Martigny. I had reserved a table for 1:00 p.m. at the Restaurant La Vache qui Vole. I chose the "chase" menu, since the waitress told me they had just started; it was really excellent 👌👍. As for dessert, it was just a huge sin of gluttony 😋😈😇! I really had a great time there.

J’appelle pour réserver pour le lendemain, on me répond « oui, un instant » et puis plus rien pendant 5 minutes. Donc je pense que les commentaires relevant un mauvais service sont bien exacts et ils ne nous verront jamais.

Un très beau restaurant, une excellente cuisine, des vins merveilleux, une bonne ambiance. Excellente idée de favoriser l’eau locale plutôt que celles de Nestlé Waters. Bravo!

Le cadre et pourtant sympa , mais c’est tout .... une attente à n’en plus finir alors que les 2 fois où je suis allé au toilettes les 3 serveurs étaient à l’intérieur a discuter ... alors que les clients dehors attendent attendent attendent et attendent encore Des prix abusés notamment l’assiette de la mer que j’ai prit en plat et qui aurait fait office d’entrée tout au mieux Mon mari une entrecôte de bœuf qui devait être saignante et servie à point ...Et le désert on en parle ?!!! La mousse au chocolat infâme .... on a dû la mélanger à la crème d’e l’île flottante pour en faire quelque chose de mangeable 113 chf a 2 , sans vin , pour cette qualité ... c’est à fuir et c’est bien dommage

Wir hatten dieses Restaurant in guter Erinnerung und wollten diese aufleben lassen. In Coronazeiten schlug uns die Chefin Plätze an einem Tisch mit anderen Gästen vor. Wir zogen einen schmalen Hochtisch mit Hockern vor. Die Chefin legte uns verschmutzte Tischsets und Menükarten auf. Leider mussten wir das Restaurant verlassen, da meine Frau nur eine Vorspeise bestellen wollte. Dies wurde nicht akzeptiert obwohl ich für mich eine komplette Malzeit vorgesehen hatte.

Excellent food. We went on a very warm day and the gazpacho trio and poke bowl were absolutely perfect. Others were eating traditional dishes like perch and entrecote, and it looked great too. Bonus.... great singer/guitar player on the night we were there. An almost perfect evening.

The place is okay, there was some live music playing, we had a table immediately. Starters were decent, raw fish assortiment was good even. We shared a main with two people that was unfortunately not worth it (Ris de veau), and a limoncello sorbet as dessert which was okay again. It was a bit expensive for what it was, and although the food was delivered quickly, the rest of the service was quite slow. Nice setting, but not the best restaurant you can find here in my opinion.

The boss is unpleasant and looks down on her customers. We ordered a bottle of wine for 100.-- (the cheapest being around 80.--....) and refused a simple carafe of water! Never seen ! She told us 3 times that she did the bachelor's degree at the Lausanne hotel school (to justify refusing the carafe of water?). In fact, we didn't really understand the report and why this emphasis on his studies? And even if she has done the bachelor's, master's or doctorate: the client doesn't care.... So, we ordered a bottle of water. We expected to receive a bottle of Henniez, Aproz or another brand. Well no.... a bottle of "homemade" water that can be refilled. So, in the end, tap water is billed for! Go on your way. In addition the prices are excessive.

Avant de critiquer je tiens à dire que la nourriture est bonne et c est l important de bien manger dans un restaurant. Mais alors franchement le service n est pas du tout à la hauteur car je rejoins ce que beaucoup disent ici c est lent et faut pas être pressé !! Nous sommes arrivés à 20 h et à 21h30 le dessert n’ était encore pas sur la table . Le serveur ne demandent pas ce que nous voulons boire , il faut se lever et aller le chercher pour lui demander , le tartare soit disant coupé au couteau devant vos yeux ce n étais pas le cas ( bon pas très grave) mais quant tu indiqué sur la carte ben fait le ... 14frs 50 un rosé et un Johannisberg ( oui je trouve cher je sais pas vous )? 10 frs la carafe d eau ça s est bien vrai malheureusement, il prend les commandes mais ne demande pas aux autres personnes à table si il veulent aussi quelque chose ( en fait on a pas le temp de lui demander parce que à peine fini de commander il est déjà parti comme un “voleur”. Service très lent je le répète c est dommage parce que les plats sont bons , le prix relativement correct ( sauf les boissons et les vins hors de prix à 10 frs la carafe ) allez y et faites vous votre propre opinion . Je n y retournerai plus personnellement je préfère la Nonna en face ...

After a recent visit, the prices seemed expensive to us. The dishes were less well crafted and a menu that was less appealing than at the time. A restaurant that highlights the cow but which offers you a beef steak for the modest sum of 110.- CHF... too bad we hope that this is only a passing phase. The service remains warm and friendly.

I had already been to this establishment several times and I really liked it, unfortunately I will not set foot there again. Very long service, long wait and not a smile. Fries, supposedly “homemade” on the menu, but which were obviously frozen. A floating island flavored with pistachio (?) even though it is not specified anywhere in the menu and which was disgusting. The icing on the cake, the more than unfriendly owner tells us that there is a charge for water in a carafe. She justifies herself by telling us about the salary of her servers and saying that "People are not accustomed to it in Switzerland and do not pay for water..." No Madam, it's not a bad habit, it's just the smallest of things and 1 franc per deciliter, that's called THEFT! What a shame that this establishment has fallen so low, I really don't recommend it and if you want to have a good evening, move on!
