Lägernstübli in Boppelsen

I met three other people there for dinner today. Unfortunately, the meeting was rather unfortunate and I left the restaurant early. But I would like to mention the absolutely nice and courteous behavior of the restaurant. I was intercepted straight away and very kindly offered to let me take the food with me. They responded in a very exemplary manner to the rather special and unpleasant situation and I was able to enjoy the meal later at home. The food was fantastic. I'm not actually a vegetarian, but I chose a vegan menu which tasted excellent. It was my first time eating there, I would eat there again at any time and can recommend the restaurant to everyone.

Visited this gem for its Swiss cuisine - amazing vegan options and perfectly cooked vegetables. Flavors were delicate and well-balanced, a pleasant surprise from the usual heavy Swiss fare. Gluten-free choices were limited, but the amazing waiter offered creative off-menu combinations. A satisfying experience with great service!

The food was really tasty; large selection; there is something for everybody. The ambience was disturbed by cigarette smoke coming in from outside. It's clear that most chefs smoke, but please not where the smoke can flow into the dining room. Otherwise great: For anyone who wants to eat delicious vegan food and doesn't want to drive to Zurich and look for a parking space, it's a good alternative. Maybe it's better in the summer season when you can eat outside in the fresh air.

Absolutely fantastic place with great vegan food. Their seasonal vegan dishes are amazing as well. I highly recommend this place. They also have many things in the non-vegan version. So you can go with your non-vegan friends. I wish I had discovered this place earlier. Everything about this place is right, the food the service, the staff, the atmosphere.

Favorite time out restaurant. Highly recommended vegan cuisine, the “Cordonbleus” are incredibly tasty. Salads with bread are always fresh and nicely prepared with our own sauce. Side dishes are great. Service is always very prompt and super friendly. Reservations recommended, it is always well attended.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Lägernstübli restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The classic Swiss cuisine offered here is absolutely delicious and authentic. The small terrace with the surrounding trees creates a really cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed al fresco meal. But what really made the visit unforgettable for me was the extremely friendly and courteous service. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and made me feel welcome from start to finish. If you are looking for a place where you can enjoy both classic Swiss cuisine and a wide selection of vegan dishes, accompanied by warm service and a cozy atmosphere, then I can highly recommend the Lägernstübli restaurant. A culinary experience not to be missed!

Vegan menu with a large selection (including many desserts), organized service

You know how in HappyCow you’re limited to 4 stars for places that are not completely vegan? This one should clearly have 5 on all platforms. When we arrived, the waiter asked us if we wanted the omni or vegan menu. And let me be clear: you are not missing out on ANYTHING as a vegan here. You’re getting the quintessential Swiss cuisine while caring for animals. It’s the first time I’m seeing a cordon bleu menu that’s completely plant-based! Also, vegan tiramisu and plenty other dessert options! The food was super delicious - from the salad which had red kidney beans and chickpeas too, to the scrumptious Mäder cordon bleu to the perfectly textured tiramisu. Absolutely no complaints just enjoyment. The staff was also very nice and considerate and the atmosphere was lovely to wind down at the end of the day. A green terrace with ambient lighting, it is right next to a road but there is not much traffic that will disturb you. Highly recommend. I was only disappointed by the fact that we were charged for tap water.

Normally I hardly ever give a full 5 stars. But everything is just right here. We were there on Mother's Day. There was also an ice cream tasting with the new supplier Gelati Hiestand. They have really great ice cream. And a vegan one where you can no longer taste the difference. Just bravo!!

My family and I made a reservation for 12:00 p.m. today on the occasion of my 40th birthday. We were there at 11:45 a.m. From the outside it looked closed to me at first. We went upstairs, 2 ladies were in front of us and entered. A gentleman who seemed like the chef to me and was a little surprised by the guests showed the ladies in front of us the way into a small room. I told him we had reservations and he also led us into this room with a few uncovered tables that were full of bread crumbs. It also smelled very unpleasant. The 2 ladies next to us then independently removed the tablecloth at their table (imagine that) and at about the same time another man came in who looked like the boss (maybe I'm wrong). He didn't really say hello to us and complained that they weren't open until 12. My father told me afterwards that he had asked this gentleman if he could go to the toilet and the answer was: “We don't open until 12!” We then agreed that we certainly didn't want to eat here and left again. Nobody seems to have noticed or cared about this. I work in the service sector and am shocked to admit that I have never experienced anything like this. It can't be that we make a reservation for 12:00, get there at 11:45 and are seated at a dirty table in a room that obviously hasn't been ventilated. And why do you snap at your guests when they are a little early? It's okay if you're not "ready" yet, but treating people like that is a no-go. I'm very sorry, but unfortunately I can't recommend something like this.

A worker cannot be satisfied with less than 100 grams of meat and a handful of potatoes. You almost had to look for the salad with a magnifying glass. Portions not appropriate to the price. Otherwise it would be a nice restaurant, but if you don't get full, it's no use. The reservation was last Thursday under my new name Ursula Kilci.

Simply a celebration for everyone - whether vegan or omnivora. Good selection, lovingly prepared, presented and served. Unfortunately it's drafty in the beautiful places - there's enough warm food 🤪

Unfortunately the service has become poor. When serving, bottles are opened next to the guest's head so that the liquid from the gas pressure splashes into their hair. When the main menu was served, fries ended up in 2 drinking glasses - instead of replacing them, the mishap was simply ignored. We were not asked about wine by the service. When we asked ourselves, it was forwarded and the request to order wine only came during the meal. The food itself is very fine.

We had real physical problems ranging from nausea and belching to vomiting immediately after eating... Ice-cold red wine because the cooling system was set incorrectly. Ok, that can happen, but the reaction wasn't exactly customer friendly. Ambiance and really nicely decorated restaurant but we just didn't like the food. It's a shame, but that was definitely the last time.

Was there for the second time today and was again thrilled with the selection of vegan dishes. So, from what I've seen, there is a vegan version of every non-vegan dish. This makes it feel much more normal to be vegan than in other places where there might be 1 or 2 vegan dishes. In addition, my taste buds were spoiled, I had something from the autumn menu and it was extremely good. The staff is super friendly and personable. So they got me as a new regular customer. I'll definitely come back very often! 💚

Every year we take a trip to Boppelsen to the Lägernstübli. The trip is worth it! Finally a restaurant that knows how to make vegan (but not just vegan!) food tasty and versatile. The Lägerestübli is our regular restaurant. We come here often. For me it has super delicious vegan dishes and my boyfriend loves the cordon bleu or schnitzel. The boss, Mr. Buff, is very personable and the service guys are always up for a chat. I can only recommend the Lägerestübli.

The menu is available in two versions, 1x vegan, 1x omnivorous. So far everything we've been able to try has been delicious. The homemade tartar sauce is vegan and incredibly delicious. Really highly recommended. It's a small restaurant, so it's better to reserve a table in advance. The waiter, who used to be the cook there, is super friendly and very accommodating. We wanted to eat there yesterday, according to the website it's open until 10:30 p.m. Unfortunately it closed spontaneously. The way we were turned away at 8 p.m., without any kind of “sorry,” really offended me. I don't know if we'll try again here, it's a shame! Be sure to call in advance and find out whether you can eat something that day. For us, the Lägernstübli is not exactly on the way, and so this idea of ​​a spontaneous visit to the supposedly very tasty restaurant with a vegan menu was a complete failure.

We were moderately enthusiastic. The service was friendly, but we had to wait a long time. With the Aperol Spritz, the Prosecco was probably left open for too long. The vegan starter plate for 2 people was all fried but tasted ok. My pumpkin gnocchi with "mushroom cream sauce" could have been from a can with a few fresh chanterelles, the sauce was bland and you couldn't taste any of the pumpkin. All in all, I expected more after the Einstein report in January 2020.

The menu offers many different foods, vegan or the best meat. The menus were very tasty, but the very friendly service was a bit overwhelmed.

Simply brilliant, a menu with meat/fish and the same menu in vegan. I've been to the Lägerestübli a few times with meat eaters. We were all always thrilled with the food (super delicious!), the service (very nice and also knows about vegan) and the location! Always happy - definitely try it out!

Really great restaurant with lots of delicious, creative vegetarian and especially vegan options. One of the few in the region. Don't worry, meat lovers will also get their money's worth. In my opinion - contrary to some statements in other reviews here - the prices are absolutely fair: the quality is excellent, the portions are more than sufficient and the ambience is nice too. The terrace under the old chestnut trees is particularly recommended. We are really looking forward to your next visit! Especially to try out the many other dishes.
