The best bar on the lake promenade.

Very bad. Never again. Rude waitress, no smile or polite greeting. We had a simple coffee, and got up because the atmosphere wasn't the best. When we got to the cashier he told us that under 20chf we couldn't pay with a card but only coins. My friend asks if she can pay in euros and is told “yes but we don't take yellow coins”. Bah Thank goodness I had some francs in my wallet. We finally pay, NO RECEIPT. Nice location but I definitely won't go back.

A super nice bar in Ascona with a wonderful view. The Aperol Spritz was very tasty and the service was very friendly. Nicely decorated. A recommendation from us. If you're a little hungry, there are also snacks here.

Always very nice service and great location. Some even have live music. AND they have heaters outside in winter (even if it's not entirely ecological, but they at least radiate the heaters very specifically to the guests).

After 10 p.m. there is always a lot of noise outside. That's annoying And the food doesn't taste good

Fantastic place with a beautiful lake view, friendly staff and if you go in the evening there is a very good singer who will make you relive the piano bars of the past with an amazing voice!

I have no idea whether the waitress had a bad day today, otherwise I can't explain the good reviews here. But I found the service unfriendly, no smile, no kind words, nothing. There was no receipt and the soap dispensers in the toilets for both men and women were empty. The stars only exist because of the beautiful view.

We found a place on the lakeside of Ascona where there is live music!!! What a great atmosphere!!!! Perfect drinks, smart and fast staff, nice chairs well placed under comfortable parasols. The singer and pianist has a perfect voice and a vast repertoire! In addition to singing, he also knows how to captivate customers and create a beautiful atmosphere of joyful relaxation! We chose a table inside to be very close to his piano. We even risked a short dance, carried away by his music. It's a shame that the municipality of Ascona imposes a curfew at midnight......

Service was friendly and well organised. The prices are ok for Ascona I think. Drinks were perfect and it is allowed to smoke cigars outside. All perfect, we'll be back for sure

Very nice view of the lake and very comfortably furnished. The waiter was very quick and also very friendly. Drink prices are relatively high but absolutely reasonable for the location.

See us be seen, sit directly on the promenade and enjoy cool drinks. Or with your back to the promenade right on the water. The service was attentive and we had a lovely time in Ascona.

Well what can I say, at Lago Bar it's like being at home 😅. Friendly and elegant environment at the same time. The beautiful view of the lake offers unique moments. Seeing is believing.

The worst aperol spritz I have ever had. First we had to wait in line for over 15 minutes because it took them very long to prepare few drinks. The they did not even have gazzosa (typical local soft drink that every bar has). They preparation of the aperol spritz was wrong and it had a bad taste, probably because of the cheap wine. Finally they don’t accept payment by card. We are in 2021, it’s about time to update. Not recommended. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Ambiente molto accogliente, cocktail molto buoni e cameriere gentile. Consiglio di prendere il gin tonic copperhead, specialità del barista e uno dei gin più buoni. La location è bellisssima.

Ambiente rilassante, ma allo stesso tempo vivace con della musica dal vivo molto piacevole e divertente. Se siete ad Ascona da soli o in compagnia di amici è sicuramente un posto da non perdere. Personale molto professionale e disponibile anche per organizzare degli eventi come compleanni o aperitivi. La posizione strategica di questo bar vi permetterà di gustare un bicchiere di vino con una bellissima vista sul lago Maggiore.

Non è un qualsiasi bar.È un bar dove ti senti a casa, un posto dove riesci a svagare la mente grazie alla bellissima atmosfera che ricreano. Il personale è fantastico, per non parlare del cantante/musicista che è di una notevole bravura. Vi consiglio vivamente di fermarvi a bere qualcosa se ne avete l’occasione, ne vale la pena!

Ganz schöne Bar an der Promenade von Ascona! Die bar ist super gelegen und mann kann bei einem guten cocktail den ganzen Tag die Sonne geniessen! Es gibt eine grosse Auswahl an Getränken und der Service ist sehr freundlich, preis-Leistung ist TOP. Ausserdem ist es ein kleinen Familien betrieb und es gibt oftmals auch Live Music! Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen!!

Great bar with very friendly staff. It's also great that there is live music. The only negative point: if you sit down by the lake, you have to wait a long time for the drinks and the bill.

Periodo Covid ! 9 persone ad un tavolo, cameriere al limite dello scortese senza guanti ne mascherina, e soprattutto senza sorrisi , uno spritz non buono , insomma DA EVITARE !!

Location very nice. Service staff who drink and smoke on the terrace with friends during working hours... Sorry, an absolute no-go! Glasses weren't really clean and there wasn't a receipt when paying. Live in Ascona but this was definitely our first and last visit. Ci dispiace

Terrible. We waited over 45 minutes for a pizza and a mixed salad. Pizza was just fine. Salad for this 22.- just embarrassing. For me, a mixed salad is not a portion of arugula with a few toppings! The waiter even told us that he had to prepare and gather everything himself because his chef wasn't there!

como todos los otros restaurantes alrededor estaban llenos, i pasó a elegir este pequeño lugar para comer.la ubicación es buena, justo en frente del lago. el día era bastante bueno y disfrutamos de una buena mesa en la terraza externa. las mesas dentro no tenía atractivo.la comida estaba bien, algo de buen una pizza aceptable de salmón.Los precios eran razonables.no es el mejor en ascona, pero puede hacer cuando tienes que comer algo y continuar su viaje o ascona visitas.
