Warm welcome, top-notch Vacherin fondue, melting and visually beautiful veal cheek as well as the chocolate and caramel trompe l'oeil dessert.

We discovered this very nice place, we ate lunch with friends: aperitif on a very good slate followed by a very good half-and-half fondue and meringues with gruyere cream and excellent raspberry couli, I recommend and there are also some another menu that the head chef offers à la carte which is regularly changed. Thanks to the boss for the service and the little care. I would come back and recommend this family and friendly place.

The chef creates seasonal dishes by combining homemade confections with great finesse. I haven't eaten so well at a restaurant in a long time. The service is very good and we are well received, the background music is not too loud, it is pleasant. The chalet style decor is very pretty. The toilets are well cleaned. The prices are really affordable for all the work done by the chef. I highly recommend.

We came across it by chance after a morning at the Charmey baths, and frankly… It’s what we liked best about our getaway. Little Vacherin fondue, just the way we like it. The service was tip top. We didn't have dessert because we had clearly already eaten too much, but the digestive was just incredible. An excellent artisanal amaretto.

Great weekday evening with my contemporary friends. We enjoyed a very nice game menu there. A traditional composition with modern touches for my main dish (venison nuts). The pear dessert was a real treat of lightness and freshness. Bravo to Madame, alone, in the kitchen. Monsieur, for his part, takes care of the guests with great attention and kindness in a "carnotzet" where everything puts us at ease. The Baron is gaining recognition thanks to this couple of promising young people!

Surprise of the day 😋 a little restaurant with the baths and here we are at the Baron. An exquisite little seasonal menu (here hunting), friendly and very fast service. Family dinner yesterday, great! As a starter, the perfect egg, finally a real perfect egg at 64° like you very rarely find elsewhere. Then, the burrata with double cream and its focaccia, a treat. The blue steak was also perfectly cooked and the chicken breasts were very tender and good! The children had the homemade nuggets. Very good too. A great welcome, we all loved our evening and will come back! Congratulations to you 2 for these beginnings!

The restaurant is located in the basement of the house where it is located. Despite this aspect, the dining room is very well decorated and furnished, the time spent was really pleasant. It is a young couple who took over the restaurant, the menu is composed of a few dishes of fresh and regional produce, cooking in a very beautiful way. We don't regret our visit, we recommend it and we will come back!

Lovely restaurant that carries a long history but has been recently rejuvenated kitchen-wise by a young couple. Delicious fondue moitié-moitié and a more surprising yet very interesting local burrata (out of Gruyère double cream). A must try. Very kind and welcoming staff, perfect place to conclude a gorgeous day and enjoy the moment.

After some research on the internet I found this restaurant for a small dinner for 2. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes served. It was very good, very nicely presented, seasonal and with products from around the restaurant. The map is not very extensive but the quality seems much more important to me and we found it! The service is fast and very friendly. The style of the restaurant is warm. The prices are very correct. Thanks again to the young restaurateurs! And well done!

A great bunch of thieves! We received a voucher worth 100chf. Before going there, we booked and announced our voucher. The person we then spoke to on the phone told us that everything was in order. This was not our surprise when we arrived at the restaurant and the manager told us that he did not accept our voucher because it was issued by the former owners. He showed himself to be in bad faith and not at all commercial. In short, the Baron is not a good prince, he is even pathetic!

The service was impeccable, the cuisine was a real pleasure for the taste buds. The setting of the restaurant is truly exotic. We had a great time and a real bond. We recommend 100%!

Incredible experience. Nothing to complain about, everything is there! Authentic and charming setting, friendly and very attentive staff, meal worthy of a 5 star. We tasted the crispy semi-cooked tuna as a starter, this dish is indescribable. You have to taste it to believe it! After which we enjoyed a Vacherin fondue, undoubtedly the best we had eaten so far. We can only recommend this establishment full of wonderful surprises and conviviality!

A small rustic pearl in the Charmey Valley: warm but professional welcome; excellent wine list. If we really wanted to find a flaw it would be the limited choice of dishes for vegetarians and none for vegans... it's a shame. However, I highly recommend it for both lunch and dinner.

Small restaurant located in the basement of an old farm where the Baron of Cheese resided at the time. The welcome is warm and the service is dynamic. The menu is small but two specialties including stuffed morels find their place there. We opted for the Baron fondue which was very good but lacked a little touch of originality to make it more Baron. The wine list is of good quality and the prices are reasonable. A nice little address!

Really welcoming restaurant, impeccable service and above all incredible value for money for the unlimited fondue which is succulent. This is our second visit and we will come back when we are hiking in the area.

Very dissatisfied because I expect a core temperature of at least 54 degrees for medium meat. The meat was still red and cold inside, so raw that there wasn't even any blood to be seen.

Beautifully furnished, homely restaurant and friendly staff. The cheese fondue is made from a beautiful Moitié Moitié mixture, very creamy. The portions were rather small and when we ordered 2 additional portions, only 10 tiny potatoes were served... and the fondue mixture had separated in the meantime... that was a bit of a messy experience.
