Nice place and really fresh and tasty food

The whole experience of this restaurant was completely lovely. The food and service have all the charm and care of a home owned restaurant while simultaneously so refined and fancy. This was such a delicious meal and such a treat 😍 I can only recommend it further.

We had an exceptional lunch on a Saturday, after toiling up the Sentier Gandria. The first thing they offered us was sparkling water - very considerate, followed by wonderful bread and olive oil, and a deliciously creative 5 course meal. It was especially nice that the menu del mese could be modified with choices from their second menu. So I had a cuore cioccolato fondente with toasted white chocolate, not to be missed. Our daughter had an artichoke Tarte tatin, which she thought was insanely good. My husband pointed out that every course had its delectable surprise, and we agreed. Memorable local merlot from Bellinzona! A really special treat.

We stayed for 3 days and enjoyed every single 1 of them - the rooms are basic but got all you( we ) needed. They view is stunning - like looking at a moving painting . Diner was superb , perfectly balanced and some daring combinations. All dishes were spot on , in taste , size and presentation and explanation. The village of Gandria itself is small but the litlle ally's are lovely to take a stroll. The 'olive trail 'to Lugano is right st your doorstep and in approximately an hour you are in Lugano . * RECOMMENDED!*

We had a lovely dinner on a balcony with outstanding views over the Lago. Pre- set menu " Il menu degustazione" we paired with wine - all was well balanced and mostly delicious. Excellent presentation. Very welcoming, almost family, atmosphere. I would probably add extra fish course to the degustation menu offered.

If you are ever in the area, you must visit this place! The food, service, view, location, everything is so good! I spent the afternoon of my birthday here, with my wife, and the staff were so helpful. They figured out a couple of different ways to get home, for us, which was a great help because the Italian bus timetables are not always straight forward. But, where it really counts, in the restaurant itself, everything was fabulous. They recommended a local wine, and helped us choose from the small but varied menu (which had a good selection of veggie options), and generally kept us happy and topped up with water and wine all afternoon. I cannot praise this place highly enough, if we are ever in the Lugano area again we will be back!

Una perla nel panorama gastronomico ticinese. Piatti con ingredienti naturali, semplici ma composti con grande maestria ed arte. Mix di sapori dosati alla perfezione e ricercatezza, fanno sì che un pasto alle Bucce di Gandria sia indimenticabile.
