One of the best fondues in Geneva. It feels like a chalet in the mountains (it actually has an actual small old one as a kitchen). Service is good, fast and friendly. As with all fondue places, your clothes are gonna smell like cheese so don't bring your most expensive outfit here.

Everything was bad, passable at best! Rubbery and tasteless fondue, where has the softness and subtlety of the mixture of cheeses that the previous owner made gone? Roastbeef with hash browns which were just potatoes left over from the raclettes passed in butter Inedible tartar sauce soft and super sour cooked wine tart. Inefficient (but adorable) service, the roast beef finally arrived just as the rest of the table was finishing their fondue. In short, a complete failure! I'm rarely so negative, but when we compare it to what it was, we can only be very critical

The service was really bad. We agreed in a close menu and they start bringing what they wanted .. we were a big group and brought a lot of money for the local and they didn’t care about make us feel good. Was a little chaotic. Never other networking dinner there.

We had the famous Cheese fondue with potatoes. I did not like the fondue. Maybe my Indian tongue is to blame but to have something with no to little spices in dinner is just unimaginable for me. My wife loved it. She was able to finish to whole dish with joy. Me on the other hand, just went along. But overall experience was positive.

The Vacherin fondue and its dried meat platter for two kept their promises. The welcome is friendly, the service is efficient, the challenge of having this meal in 30 minutes was accomplished by counting the espressos. The setting is warm, the tables are spaced apart, the atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. Rather good quality/price ratio for Geneva.

The fondues are super good (even if a little light in quantity) but the lack of staff is a reality and the service was very long and messy.

I have passed this Restaurant for years and this time we stopped with my wife to eat our first fondue of the year. So we ordered a half and half fondue and frankly disappointed it is really not up to the standards of a pseudo specialist in cheese-based dishes, on top of that a coke without gas and a long service. We will not go back

Tres Bien! Food was excellent, we had half and half fondue and meat platter. Andrea our server was also excellent. Very helpful and wonderfully entertaining. We actually wanted to give her 10 stars. The only complaint is it is so hot inside in the summer.

Quite simply one of the best fondues I have ever tasted. However, the portion is quite light for a man. The boss, on the other hand, is extremely nice.

Food was good, but quite greasy for us Dutch. And it was very hot and crowded

It's all homemade, the boss himself goes to meet local producers but also customers to cut 1 flank steak for 1/4 hour. from the starter to the dessert, obviously including the Swiss fondue, with 1 digestive which is also homemade.... 1 pure delight. 😍😍😍 The Burgundians ❤️

Great fondue! Probably the best in Geneva, smooth and creamy. Service still not pleasant, I remember why I don't come regularly! I came 3 years ago and it reminded me that the service is not very pleasant. In short, we come to eat and at least it’s very good!!

I highly recommend this restaurant, the decor is absolutely beautiful and original, the staff is polite and smiling and full of good intentions towards you! , the quality of the meals are really perfect! they have an absolutely delicious half-and-half fondue, even if the desserts remain classic, they are nonetheless very good. the only small downside and in the possibility of parking easily with your car, there are not many parking spaces nearby.

Very good fondue, simple but effective. Several choices possible but we took the basic one and it was great! The servers are welcoming, helpful, happy to be there and always with a laugh. Two different rooms, one a little noisier than the other but a smell that makes you want to taste everything! To be tested and absolutely redone for my part.

Disappointed with the welcome... Unsmiling staff.. I had to ask the waiter to bring us a drink because he hadn't come to our table to take our order or even ask us if we were thirsty (we had been seated for 20 minutes). Not very strategic table point because fridge with bottles behind us therefore annoyance of the staff when we had to ask us to squeeze at the table to have access to the bottles (unpleasant for the customer and the staff to see to change the place of the fridge?! ) The fondue was good but 4 of us had heartburn during the evening. Isn't it a shame to have negative opinions for a story of welcome, service and friendliness?

Cheese lovers, you've come to the right place. You will melt with happiness. The welcome is very friendly in this restaurant on the outskirts of Geneva and with a “ski vacation” decor. We are testing two fondues on the advice of the house: The Vacherin fondue is soft and subtle. Half-and-half fondue takes us into the heart of the Swiss mountains. A delight for all fondue fans. Best meal we've had in Switzerland. Went on a Thursday evening for dinner. Very authentic restaurant setting with a Swiss mountain house style. Seeing the owner Georges Magnin smile and present us with his cheesy specialties was a real treat. We could tell he was truly passionate about his cooking, his restaurant, and pursuit in delighting customers. The food itself was very generous and balanced. We got the tasting menu and the Malakoff (fried cheese balls). The Soup du Chalet starter was a very creamy but light and delicious. This is one of the few places in Geneva that seem to serve authentic Alpine Mac and Cheese. The portion size was very generous and creamy and delicious! The Malakoff was also very delicious especially when paired with the salad and ham. The dessert was perfectly done so it was sweet but light and refreshing. Overall with all the cheese, we didn't find that it was too salty and definitely left us feeling delighted. It's a must go if you're in Geneva and want a sampling of authentic Swiss cuisine.

Extra food, but the owner is as unsympathetic as possible and refuses a site card where she is registered, but does not come to the table and yells from the kitchen. For a bill of 300.-, pitiful

Do not recommend! Despite the good food, they refused to take the lunchcard even though they were registered on the site. The boss remains hidden behind her kitchen instead of coming to find a solution, unacceptable and pathetic for a table costing 300 CHF.

A shame... The gift card doesn't work, the boss doesn't even come to talk to us, she growls from her kitchen and in the end all it took was to reset the card machine which she didn't do despite the recommendations from the company we called on site. Neither consideration nor respect. This is the last time we set foot there.

Portion of fondue for children, we were all left wanting more. Expensive prices even if the fondue is good it's for tourists. Damage...

Ridiculous quantities, ordered a fondue for four and we received a fondue pot a third full... (fondue at 120 balls) However the calculation is simple 230 x 4 = 920 grams, there were barely 500. I had to fighting with the waiter who was in bad faith, we then asked to speak to the chef who ultimately added something to us. Never again.

I am an “Ardéchois” from Geneva! So the countryside and good local products are important... And here at Gruyérien we are at the top! Every time we go there we try something new, especially in the desserts because otherwise we are melted half and half... And each time they are real products from Gruyère, this beautiful region which smells of the countryside and the simple and cool people! Like the boss and like the people of Ardèche! And the double cream, and the meringues and the cooked wines... everything is so good!!! Next time I'm making macaroni and cheese!! So excited!

A fan of half and half fondue. And then I was amazed by the best fondue ever tasted. I loved this subtle blend of several cheeses. Airy restaurant, I liked the fairly spaced tables all the same. A good value for money wine. Impeccable service. Looking forward to going back there.

Very good fondue but impossible to enjoy it, it was unbearably hot in the restaurant to the point of sweating and feeling bad in a t-shirt... We left after 40 minutes because it was so unbearable. Too bad.

Took a guest from another country for a dinner here on a recommendation from a friend. Followed waitress’ recommendation of goat cheese fondue for starters. It was fine, came with sliced bread and boiled potatoes. My guest asked for a meat fondue and waitress replied “This we cannot serve you, you need to order a day in advance.” Was not told so on the phone when I made the reservation. OK, we ask for recommendations for the main dish, she suggests “ motie-motie”, the half and half fondue, which comes again….. with same potatoes and more bread. We order a bottle of wine. The taste was not bad, but not out of this world. I am not prepared to pay 140 francs for boiled potatoes, sliced bread and some molten cheese. If you keep your costs low by having just two staff serving the guests, and you serve unsophisticated no frills food, then at least I would expect you to compensate with customer service. Never again. I would prefer to patronize a place where staff cares about customers’ wishes.

Tuesday 8/3/2021, 8:15 p.m., closed. According to Google Maps, open until 2:00 and rush hour on Tuesdays. Trusting in that information we approached for a walk of more than half an hour. Bravo for the reliability of Google Maps and the restaurant!
