Le Pain Quotidien in Genève

Despite the crowds and the lack of space, we were very well received and very well served. The boiled eggs were perfect as well as the desserts. Some people put negative comments everywhere they go to eat.... So, eat at home! We will come back!

pleasant service, kitchen side needs to be reviewed, impossible to have boiled eggs, don't know how to cook them..., dry crumble... (industrial deserts???)

We went here yesterday afternoon to sit down just 40 minutes before closing and had great attention with no rush at all and everything was very nice I Highly recommend the quiche!

One of the best cafes I’ve been to in Geneva. The service was incredible with a lovely woman who’s was very welcoming and very receptive. The almond croissant was delicious and the coffee likewise. Please ignore whatever unfortunate reviews there may be from the previous staff and environment, because what I just experience was so very lovely. Highly highly recommend for doing a little work or just enjoying a delicious pastry. :)

Best croissant in Geneva for a reasonable price (1.90 CHF) The Cappuccino was a little expensive for what it was, but I would come back for a croissant, as long as the price didn't go up too much. Very kind and attentive waitress, thank you very much.

Le Pain Quotidien is the perfect spot for a quick pastry or a sit down breakfast. Amazing service, the lady at the front was so sweet and really took care of us. We visited two times during our 3 days in Geneva and would absolutely return the next time we are here!

This is my second time here. The first time I came we came by default because it was a holiday and nothing was open. We quickly grabbed a croissant and left. But this time we stayed and enjoyed. The ambiance is wonderful. Warm, light jazz playing over the speakers, quiet on a Sunday morning. The woman working is really kind and makes delicious fresh juices — definitely recommend! It’s a great place to gather, to chill, to have a nice breakfast and just enjoy.

I was with my friend walking in Geneva and we looked for a place with gluten-free options so I could eat in peace!! We went blind, we found this restaurant on Google Maps and it worked out really well. I am delighted with the service, the quality of the service, the speed of delivery of the dishes and the flavor. We ordered the full breakfast, which came with bread, pastries, butter, croissant, a juice and another hot drink of our choice. I got to try the gluten-free bread they produce locally, and ordered scrambled eggs to eat instead of the croissants. I ordered a cappuccino with the option of plant-based milk, and my friend ordered a macchiato with the option of cow's milk. Everything was very good, we were satisfied without eating it all, so the restaurant packed up what was left for us to take away. Jams are also produced locally, as well as delicious chocolate to spread on breads and croissants. I recommend this place, I definitely want to go back to try other dishes. The price is higher than the average for breakfast $$$$$, but that's considering that I ordered an extra dish because I wanted more gluten-free options. The bathroom is large, clean and has a changing table for changing babies.

We usually like to eat at Le Pain Quotidien, but we won't go back to this particular restaurant. It's the third time we are disappointed at this address. Today, we went there for a brunch. We were served bread slices so dry they couldn't be fresh, a cappuccino that was just black coffee with a soapy foam on top and a hot chocolate that looked like it was made with water. Oh and the salad leaves were yellowish, so not fresh either. We then asked for honey and were given an industrial dispenser full of dust. When we made those remarks to the waitress, she denied the obviously poor quality of the beverages but did give us two fresh bread slices (so generous). At no point did any waitress come to our table during the brunch (before or after the remarks on the dubious food quality). When we left, the waitress ignored us and didn't even answer to our goodbye (nice attitude). We won't go back there.

Nice place to chill - I had some scrambled eggs and avocado accompanied by a cup of coffee. The service was just fine, the waiter was friendly and helpful. Served with care. Highly recommended !

I have been a fan of this chain for years in several European countries but after the experience I had today, I will never go again. The service was unprofessional, the cutlery and crockery were dirty and the coffee was terrible! So if you are a coffee lover, I don't recommend you drink it here.

I'm Belgian, so it's clear that I'm leaving a good review, the waitress, nice, opened the door for me 5' before opening. The atmosphere is nice, good music, welcoming, and the hot chocolate is delicious, crispy and fresh croissant. Great choice of jams.

The ladies with the blond hair have no sense of business, really catastrophic, this is the first time I've seen this, I'm so disappointed, we've never been treated like this. To flee.

Terrible service We were there a little after 10 a.m. on Saturday morning. The service was completely overwhelmed, unmotivated and unfriendly. We waited a total of almost an hour for our breakfast and when it finally came, the order was incomplete. We had to check three more times until everything was there. We didn't receive the famous spread either; we and other guests had to borrow it from other tables ourselves. The place wasn't overly crowded, just as you would expect in a breakfast place on a Saturday morning. Never again!

Your fig and hazelnut bread and your jams, a killer, too bad you are far from me.... But why not move to Onex, Bernex... I will be there very often.

One of my best places in geneva. Most breakfast here in geneva dont do typical american or english breaksfast. So dont expect bacon or sausages etc. So far this is the closest place but still no bacon or sausages

Door says it opens at 7.00. I get front of the door at 6.55am but the waitress who places food in the booth with bare hands waits until 7.00 to tell me in a rude manner that it opens at 7.30 am (What about hours on the door?) then she shuts the door at my face before I can say something. I was loyal for the past 5 years as my office is nearby but I am done. Go to seeds or pierre et jean or even pouly, you'll have a better experience.

Everything for take-out orders and not much for customers on site... unfortunately. We will only return or recommend this chain in Switzerland if we learn that there has been a significant and lasting improvement.

They are a 30,000 CHF machine and they can't even make a good espresso. Messy service, sliced ​​ham too thick. Too expensive for an assembly kitchen. There are much better in Plainpalais.

Just okay. Been to many branches of Le Pain Quotidien in london and Belgium and were much nicer in term of food, coffee and staff. The avo spread was tasty but the bread felt old. The coffee was below avrage. The service was a bit slow as there was only one person working. She was inpatient and in a bad mood. Not going there again
