Service was very prompt and we didn’t have to wait too long for the food to come. The food was delicious. I’d definitely visit again when next I’m in Geneva.

We arrived at this restaurant quite early. We were refused access, given that the restaurant was completely empty, claiming that we had to make a reservation because they were full.?????

I loved the food when I came here two years ago, so I was so excited to be able to come back here. I came at the time of opening (11:30 am), and it was closed. Someone came to open the restaurant at 11:34 am. She organized the groceries and was on the phone for fifteen minutes instead of giving me a menu and helping me get settled in. I would understand the situation if I came too early, but that was not the case. Maybe they should change the time of opening then. I will probably be back because the food is amazing, but I was very disappointed in the customer service.

Literally THE BEST restaurant in town. The way they cook the dibi d'agneau, grilled and kind of smoked, is unparalleled in Switzerland. I've never been in Senegal, but if this is how they cook there I will certainly travel to that country! The Service is also friendly and welcoming, while the vibes push you to come back as much as possible. Sometimes they can be a bit slow but the wait is always well worth it. Ask for their special chilli sauce. It's true fire!

Food poisoning: on Saturday September 16 we came to eat in the middle of the afternoon with two friends and my baby less than a year old. All three of us were sick. And luckily I didn't let my son taste it. We took the bissap together. After reflection we realized that it was not cool and stored in plastic containers. We will not know where exactly this poisoning came from, but this message is made so that action can be taken by the owners. Because we are doing well, but if I had had the misfortune of giving my son a taste, we would have ended up in the emergency room! This isn’t the first time I’ve seen reviews mentioning the restaurant’s “hygiene,” but seen too late.

We came from Gland this Monday to have lunch in your restaurant for the first time and found the door closed. Huge disappointment. It would be nice to update your opening dates and times out of respect for your customers.

Delicious, the welcome is very warm. Be careful, the portions are very generous, you can easily have a dish for two. There isn't really a vegetarian option, but you can make your own dish by ordering sides.

This place has the worst customer service ever! First of all you call for service and the waiters keep ignoring you. Secondly, I waited to be given my bill and after a long while I decided to go to the counter to pay. While paying by card, one of the waiters grabbed my card, rubbed it on her trousers and scratched it on the card machine. What kind of audacity would someone have to snatch your personal belonging (bank card). I am still in absolute shock that these people thought it was so normal to behave that way. This kind of behaviour should be condemned and a more civilized approach should be considered when dealing with customers. Management should check their staff! Thanks!

Absolutely bad customer service, the staff have no manners and the service is very slow. The hygiene is also wanting!

The waiters and waitresses are extremely lousy. No sympathy, no smile. It looked like we were coming to beg. 13 people and we were treated without respect. We ordered 5 bottles of still water and a bottle of sparkling water and brought back 50cl bottles. I no longer have that, the waiters and waitresses were aggressive and so on. In short, I strongly advise against it. No sense of welcome!

Would say all of my friends were happy but i wasn’t convinced with my food. Tasted not so good, some weird spice that never tasted in a chicken yasa before but maybe it’s just because i don’t know much about african food. The staff was friendly so thats a good point.

I loved the Dibi (grilled lamb and plantain) at this restaurant, The service went from good to horrible in a few years. Same goes for the home delivery is also great. The restaurant changed management and unfortunately, the restaurant became undesirable.

Having come with my wife and my young daughter, we were made to wait 15 minutes (we had reservations) while the staff walked past us without the slightest attention and not even a hello!! In addition, the cuisine was not great even though we were very loyal customers and came occasionally! Huge disappointment !

Having a restaurant means knowing how to welcome and serve customers. Things that are very neglected at Palmarin. A smile is free and it's always a pleasure, especially when someone comes to consume at your place. I have been to this restaurant 3 times and 3 times above the reception. The dishes are delicious but the atmosphere is not pleasant at all. The waitress did not check the condition of the glasses and we were treated to a broken glass, we found the service sloppy. Not to mention the somewhat sloppy decoration and the paintings poorly attached to the wall. In short, you will understand that apart from the dishes, we were very disappointed because the potential of this place is just extraordinary, a shame to neglect it.

La Palmarin has had a makeover and now has a very large surface area, beautiful African decoration and always impeccable service. All hygiene rules are respected and the waiting time is reasonable. I highly recommend it to those who want to taste the authentic flavors of Senegal.

First time eating Senegales food. It was delicious. Fresh and deliciously prepared food. Had the rice with fish and vegetables. Could not stop myself from enjoying and savouring the flavours of each mouthful. The fish was superbly marinated.The ambiance was vibrant and exciting. Delivery was fast. My only two complaint is that they need more waiters to clear up and follow up with desert orders. And my friend was on a blood free diet and they could not offer prawn sauce with rice, as they had meat stew. That was strange as they had seafood salad with prawns.

Great place for some African cuisine.

Horrible service. I spent over an hour waiting for my food only to watch people order the same thing and get their food. When I placed the ordered they quoted me 20 minutes. Every time I would ask, I was told 5 minutes, until I had waited for over an hour and they then told me 15 minutes. No apologies, no thanks for my patience. I will never return to this establishment. Horrible!

After 45 minutes of waiting, not even drinks, it's scandalous. I was happy to be able to eat but frankly the service wasn't great. There were fewer cutlery items that were poorly washed. I had to beg for a jug of water, unheard of. I actually went to drink in the toilet because the wait was so unbearable. At the end of the meal my dear had to go and get the carafe of water himself, asking for it from the start of the meal in order to end up with a carafe of lukewarm water, no, but that's the problem.

Average prices, Healthy large portions, Small menu choices. Good place for take-away as restaurant isn't particularly charming with a dim ambience, average taste but served fresh. Ginger drink really nice.

Has this restaurant changed managers? It's very neglected, too long a wait, average cuisine, and questionable hygiene, tools along the bar with glue, clothes everywhere, cutlery not very clean and uncovered in the middle of the passage. When you are lucky enough to have a restaurant, you have to act as if the presidents came to eat there every day. There clearly, it is intended for the friend from the country who comes to eat. The positive point is that some dishes are good.

Yesterday I had mafé with my daughter. Top not to change. We came across a waitress called Marie. A welcome and kindness never seen before for my part. I only eat where I feel good. And this is the case with you.

After an hour of waiting, for an alloco braised chicken attiéké to take away. Very disappointing. Arrival at home/hotel (because I live in the States)... The dish had no taste and no alloco and the chicken was poorly cooked. And the staff sees you waiting and doesn't even offer a water worm.

I do not recommend their Delivery service, in fact, it is up to you to run after them. It's been almost 2.5 hours since my order waited in their restaurant to finally be delivered. They ask you the same questions every time they call because they probably don't note anything and they tell you that it's the customer's mistake by hanging up on you... Politeness is not their strong suit and I will receive the food 3 hours minimum after the first call...the food remains very good that said.

We waited 1h30 before being served and the lamb dibi now consists of 4 very small chops and a pile of fries which covers 3/4 of the plate. The disappointment is immense because we have been coming to this restaurant for a long time... Note that the smile of the staff is always required. The pill goes better. To avoid.

I put 4 for not ruining the thing and I generally come to Geneva for your dish... very very disappointed the atieke was not great and my dibi burned unfortunately I didn't take a photo and I think it's is a good thing for you because I think it would scare customers away to see a burnt dish and 80 francs gone in the trash

Fantastic Senegalese food which will leave you very full! The lamb chops were really tasty and beware that the red pepper sauce is chilllyyy (but tasty). Also the ambiance was lovely. Yes there was a bit of a wait but I expected it knowing how long African food generally takes to cook. The place was clean and service was friendly too. My cousin who took me here said the place gets reaaaalllyyyy busy at weekends and I understand why. I would definitely recommend and I hope Geneva begins to open more African restaurants! ✊🏾 P.S. can you make yourselves known on social media so I can tag the place on Instagram when I come back. X

This is some of the best tasting food in Geneva. I'm talking top 2 and it's not coming second. The portion sizes? Great Service? Fast and polite Flavour? 10000/10 If you want delicious food and well seasoned food in Geneva, this is it.

Not just the best Senegalese restaurant, but this is my favorite restaurant in all of Geneva. My mouth waters just thinking about their lamb Dibi. The Mafe is really good also. Tip: when you order for pickup the portion is more than when you done in.

They delivered a mixture of good and rotting agneau.....disgusting!!! This is super disappointing considering we ordered over 20 plates of food.
