Serious lack of maintenance, sad animals, and very short. The best part is the restaurant's cuisine.

unpleasant. We were a group, we couldn't even have our picnic or use the toilets... I have rarely seen a zoo that was so unwelcoming.

The welcome was awful. We were refused in the restaurant because we were a group of young people. Nowhere to go to the toilets. We do not recommend the zoo with a group.⁷

The staff is cold and disrespectful I can't get a glass of water or go to the bathroom I totally do not recommend the restaurant

Entry is confusing (construction happening), pay inside the restaurant then go back outside to enter. No maps and poor signage, however the zoo is small so its quite easy to navigate. Most of the paths arent paved and it was quite muddy, enclosed shoes recommended. The pizza was absolutely delicious, however the service was very relaxed and some miscommunications occured - the staff were kind and helpful though. Really enjoyed this zoo albiet quaint, great value for money (food & entrance!)

Interesting collection of alpine creatures in a very sweet little zoo.. I don’t normally like a zoo, but this one is an exception.

Too expensive for what it is, there is also a risk that you will come across one animal in 3. I didn't see the rabbits, the turtle and so many other animals. Furthermore, the animals seem to be suffering.

Very accessible by train, it was an end-to-end experience with the kids! Open in winter, the visit was very pleasant with good weather. It's generally accessible in a stroller, we had to carry it twice. There are local animals and mountain animals. There are around twenty different ones, but in varying numbers in each enclosure. The visit took 1h30. We had lunch at the restaurant, with a great setting, a welcoming team and delicious, although simple, dishes (burger, pizza, children's menu) There is some work at the entrance, but in the RAS park.

A bit expensive I think for the small park… Children 3 years old don't pay. Currently under construction! But then, such a pretty park, local animals and they don’t seem unhappy!

Very friendly zoo and restaurant waiters just as much. Nevertheless, the chef should show a little more discretion when he yells to his second that there are only 4 portions of fries instead of 5 and that he cuts into the existing portions to fill the missing.... We paid for 5 portions not 4

We ate on the terrace. Very good dishes and smiling waitress. Too bad the swimming pool was overcrowded and very very cold.

We were very happy to share some family time at the zoo and at the restaurant, it was very good!

But where are the people who take care of this zoo? A dead wolf decomposing corpse in the enclosure, another decomposing corpse in another enclosure, take care of the animals rather than building a hotel

A beautiful zoo for young and old. Above all, the enclosure with the dwarf goats that the children can pet is a hit. A lot has happened in the last few years...👍🏼

Nice walk for the children. Going there by train 🚆, a real treat.

The pool was absolutely fantastic. For the zoo, the way the bears are kept is unbearable to watch. They are like prisoners walking back and forth in the corner, losing their mind, away from freedom. Zoos shouldn't be allowed to have bears. They are reforming making their area bigger but still, each bear is in its corner looking like having lose their mind and you can see the despear into their eyes. Horrible for the bears.

Last summer, when we were at a nearby campsite, we spent a day at this zoo/swimming pool with the family. Great for a day out of the sun and in the bath. If you come soon you can choose the zoo on the left and the swimming pool on the right. You can switch between these locations as often as you want. We started at the zoo where you can find all the animals found in Switzerland. Halfway through the day we went to the swimming pool to have something to eat and then take a refreshing dip in the landscaped pool between the mountains. You can jump off the mountain straight into the water. The bath is deep enough to allow this. You can relax on the rocks or patches of grass around the pool. Great day for a friendly price.

A magnificent place dedicated to the conservation and development of animals. The possibility of feeding the deer enhances the experience. The mouflons seem to be accustomed to being fed popcorn seeds by visitors.

A visit to the Alpin des Marécottes zoo is definitely worth it, followed by a quick swim in the swimming pool among the rocks, finishing at the restaurant with a nice menu.

A large tourist attraction in the mountain region of the Alps. Pool in an oxbow lake - scale. Zoo for the youngest. On-site restaurant. It's worth coming and seeing

The swimming pool is great but the animals in very small enclosures at this point are really too painful... The visit broke my heart more than amazed me. How can we work every day alongside animals living in these conditions without feeling the slightest compassion for them?? And we met other visitors who were also having trouble… Do something for them, that’s really cruel…

Nice little zoo to do with the family. Accessible by car or train, passable by stroller. The zoo totally respects the natural place in which it was created, it's really good. The animals are magnificent. The caretakers take the time to answer questions, thank you very much 👍🏻

Very nice zoo with local animals. You can have a picnic there and it is also easy to access in a wheelchair. There is an incredibly great swimming pool right next door.

Very cold pool, the "zoo" was small and the enclosures are small too. But we still had a good time.

The biggest swimming pool I've ever seen. We were not massive fans of the zoo, the animals looked a little sad to be there.

Leaves a little to be desired not well maintained.

Arrived around 10 a.m. for the swimming pool. There was trash from the day before on the grass, the same pool was not cleaned (colored bracelets from previous days). No safety standards and too many people. View of a crane.

Nice pool but a CATASTROPHIC ZOO ! The zoo is tiny and not well kept. Most enclosures are tiny. Some of the animals look unwell, stressed and walk around restlessly in circles. Doesn't matter if this zoo really is cited as an example in Switzerland, this doesn't seem to mean anything.

Beautiful location amidst nature and mountains. The animals appear well cared for and calm.

Magnificent natural swimming pool with one of the prettiest decorations in the Swiss Alps!

I found that the enclosures for the animals were very small, I was even able to observe several animals going in circles constantly, which shows a source of stress due to confinement. Particularly the brown bears, I found it very sad to see these animals locked up and turned around during the 3 hours I was in the park. And to answer your answer below, it makes no difference whether it is brown or black, they still look extremely unhappy and I am not the only person who gave this opinion concerning the animals in your park nor about these bears going around in circles. I think you should really question yourself rather than insinuating that I didn't come to this park. Except I came to your house yesterday. In any case I won't come back, that's for sure.

Magnificent zoo in the heart of the mountain, possibility of buying food for the animals at the entrance to the park and a splendid swimming pool among the rocks!

(08/18/23) Sunday, 33º - lots of people. -Parking space very difficult to find. Every available space is used to the point of parking in a double line. -No need to buy a ticket for 20.-, no entry checks. So avoid getting scammed if the crowds are high. -Water point difficult to access in view of the world. No bath guards while children jump from rocks every 10 seconds. -overpriced food: bottle of coke 4.50.-, portion of fries without salt 7.-. -toilets without lock near the swimming pools. I do not recommend the place during busy periods (weekends), nor to consume on site. Otherwise the zoo is beautiful as is the swimming pool, but the enclosures are quite small which is regrettable. Apparently the restaurant would be good but we didn't try it.

Special place, well kept and cared for animals

Exceptional natural swimming pool, on-site catering, highest zoo in Europe, free parking..combined swimming pool and zoo tickets..

Nice nothing more, many animals are not visible (wolf, lynx, marmots), no playground during the work. Long line at the only toilet at the entrance. Small enclosures and animals force-fed pellets sold at the entrance, they no longer even eat the grass naturally present in the enclosures.

Great train access, original and beautiful forest zoo but above all thank you to the restaurant! Table service, a very friendly and attentive team despite the crowds they have and very good pizza!

The zoo is magnificent! Coming early in the morning, you can see the animals outside. The restaurant is also very good, the dishes are plentiful and the staff are very helpful.

We found the zoo small for the price paid, unfortunately the weather was not too good to also take the entrance to the swimming pool.

Great family outing. We only went to the zoo and not the swimming pool. The animals were beautiful and mostly came to meet us, we saw them all except the marmots. We didn't use the swimming pool, but it was superb and tempting (very busy though). Be careful, very difficult to use in a stroller if you want to meet the animals, but paved nonetheless

Visit at 5 p.m. many animals have already returned to the houses apart from that quite good for a mountain zoo I found the entrance price quite high compared to the animals visible

Great zoo, you can buy a small cone of food for CHF 2.- to feed the animals, the children loved it. Very good restaurant but quite expensive.

Perfect for families. Well arranged.

Pleasant and charming place, in the heart of the mountain. The prices are really not high, including for consumption. The natural swimming pool is very beautiful, even if we did not have the chance to enjoy it (end of the day a little cool). The visit is very quick, I would say 45 minutes, really taking your time. Construction of a hotel in front of the bear enclosure... it's a shame for them (the noise), but also for visitors because it spoils the beauty of the place. But what I especially took away a star for were the enclosures, which I found to be very small... 😕 it made me sad, I admit... even if I have no doubt not that the animals are treated with the greatest care.

Completely lousy zoo! The worst zoo I have seen in my life! The park is done in 30 minutes maximum. There is almost nothing in animals. The animals look unhappy in these very small enclosures.

Travel by train from Vallorcine (significant time saving) then 10-minute walk to reach Les Marécottes. Swimming pool and zoo free for under-5s, otherwise count for the train, zoo and swimming pool €33 per adult. Magnificent swimming pool despite a cool temperature and great zoo for children. A beautiful artificial swimming pool in the mountains with rocks and lawn all around. Admission is 9 Zwfrancs. The changing cabins are currently being modernized, so you temporarily have to use changing containers.

Very nice zoo in the past... there, it is sad, super noisy because of a hotel under construction. Not for our 4-legged friends, but for tourists.... what a shame!

Wonderful day ! We ate there at lunchtime and it was just perfect! Everything was delicious and the staff was very efficient and smiling, I thank them for this quality service 😊 Not to mention the magnificent setting, the zoo and the swimming pool! Place that I recommend without hesitation 😇

Pool crowded on the weekend, we turned back unfortunately. Nice setting we will come back next time probably in low season.

Very busy in summer and weekends, but it's worth the 20 minutes of waiting to park! The swimming pool was very cool, there was always somewhere to find a place in the shade. The wolves in the zoo are magnificent...luckily they stay on the right side of the enclosure! 😅

Very nice to be able to feed the deer. We also saw wolves, foxes, rabbits and bears! Very nice visit. Picnic place also appreciated. We will come back.

Small park where you can see animals up close. Wolves are magnificent. The tour can be done in an hour, a little more if you really take the time to explore all the little trails. Young children love it. The magnificent swimming pool is accessible with the entrance fee, don't forget the swimsuits, it's worth it! Very easy access on foot from the station

Good morning, I was at the zoo today, I kindly ask you to pay more attention to the bear, an animal clearly in difficulty..

Park too small for certain animals (wolves for example). Some animals don't look well. Herds of unsupervised children running and screaming everywhere making it difficult to see certain breeds. Basically, lack of supervision of those responsible and those accompanying them.

Very good mountain zoo, nothing to do with the usual zoos. Nice swimming pool and great ice cream

The garden is beautiful, well-kept animals, large land for everyone. The fact that there is no parking space for the disabled is very unpleasant, as is the fact that the restaurant is full of flies. You barely avoid them from flying into your mouth. Beautiful area. If these problems weren't there, it would deserve 5 stars.

Fantastic place!! Good place to be with the family. For those with children, go early in the morning to see the Zoo and then enjoy the rest of the day in a nice pool.

The swimming pool is beautiful, the water is too cold and not very clean, the place is not big, if you don't go there early, it's difficult to find a shaded place to lie down.

The place is really beautiful and although the enclosures are relatively small for some animals, the natural setting is just perfect. The swimming pool is very nice but to enjoy the peace and quiet, it is better to arrive early or late in the afternoon. Parking is free, the restaurant is great. The only downside is the price. 70chf for a family zoo and swimming pool combo, it's a bit expensive for what you get but if we come back to the region, why not another little time at the swimming pool. To do at least once

Restaurant not at all professional. We have to get up to get our dishes, even though there are waiters. They are not able to go down two steps onto the terrace to serve customers. While we pay 25.- for a Burger, even at McDonald’s they serve us! For this price the service should be included. I asked for a Burger without salad/tomato, but it was not possible, I think it is too complicated for the cook to remove a salad and a tomato. The park is empty, there are not many people there (Monday), and there is not even toilet paper in the toilets, absurd. I don't recommend the restaurant, but the swimming pool and the zoo are great! (A personnel change to be expected?)

Very nice place, the swimming pool was really very pretty (but still cold), and the zoo was very beautiful, the animals did not seem unhappy unlike some zoos. It was a pleasure to come and walk there and approach species that we normally don’t know how to approach!

Animal park very pleasant to visit. Would have deserved 4 stars but the simple fact of employing such an unpleasant and unfriendly waitress means that I strongly advise you not to stop there for the meal.

A magnificent zoo, the chance to have been able to see all the animals and for some to feed them. The restaurant was an unfriendly disaster, so we went down to the village of Salvan to eat
