Lebkuchenbäckerei-Museum Goldapfel in Einsiedeln

The museum is very interesting with a lot of machines on display. And it's free! The shopkeeper was very kind and friendly.

This pastry shop-museum is located on a street perpendicular to the main road that goes up towards the monastery. At the entrance there is a shop where you can buy various specialties from the region. On the back there is a small tour that shows the birth and development of lebkuchen: there are tools, machinery, newspaper articles,... the visit lasts 5-10 minutes and is nice.

The oldest Lebkuchen "factory"! It's a blast from the past also thanks to the small free museum with many period objects, posters, newspapers and explanatory videos. Excellent products to taste and take home as a souvenir.

I am so glad we came here!! The staff are delightful and the gingerbread so delicious! The museum was so well done and really interesting. We just loved all of it. The town is also gorgeous -- as was the drive from Lucerne. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon in Switzerland and now we have lots of nice gifts to bring family and friends!! 5 stars for sure.

Traditional little sweet shop, the service here is very friendly. We bought stuffed biberli and rams here. They are super fine. We would love to come back.😀

As soon as you enter the museum, your thoughts automatically go back to childhood. I'm not the youngest anymore either😄. Very interesting and educational. Also suitable for the computer generation to understand tradition and handicraft.

Nostalgia and great shopping experience

Cool to visit its a store for sweet bakery and a little museum about the history of the bakery. In the store you feel realy nostalgic. You can take your time to watch the things and also ask questions to the sales woman whem she had no customer. The entrance is free 👍
