a very cute (pre)medieval castle. has been constructed over centuries so you can see structures from different times. on the top one can over look the town. if you want to see the whole castle I recommend you go to the benches on a little hill opposite to it.

It's great to go for a walk, the surroundings are very beautiful, excellent views and the castle is beautiful.

Definitely worth a visit. We had our wedding in the castle and all the guests were thrilled. Great view, great condition and very exciting furnishings. It's also a great idea that life at the castle can be observed live through actors who cook and work live.

It was a good experience, but it has been modernized far too much for my taste, I wouldn't go again, there is a known lack of parking spaces and you also have to buy an entry ticket. It was okay.

Great offer for children, nice exhibition! The restaurant is also recommended, very friendly service and good cuisine, only the Wienerli were in the water bath a little too long and therefore tasteless!

Very well preserved/maintained castle.

Fantastic place to bring kids! The dragon is a big hit and they have a wonderful attic full of dress costumes and arts and crafts stuff. That attic can get pretty crowded in the holidays, but with good reason.

Excellent day trip to explore the Castles of Switzerland and the associated museum of life during the time of knights. Especially good for children as there are many activities geared towards kids.

Sumptuous castle and modern exhibition. The children's corner is really very original and very well thought out, I have never seen that elsewhere in another building of the same type. Small bucolic garden with breathtaking views of the Aargau hinterland.

I like it. A very interesting museum. I enjoyed it. Take sandwiches with you, there is a wonderful courtyard with benches. Strollers must be left at the entrance. The steps in the palace are uncomfortable and steep. Be sure to find a cute little dragon.

Beautiful castle, well suited for a short trip

Very beautiful castle, super well preserved and maintained. Each floor represents a staging of a different period from the Middle Ages to now with adapted decorations. Children also have activities dedicated to them. Absolutely worth visiting.

Really nice castle. Kept our 8yo entertainment and was fun as an adult as well.

We walked up from the Mercure Ochsen restaurant with our visit from Ljubljana. Since Lenzburg Castle was already closed, we were “only” able to walk outside once. The walls and the view were worth every meter of walking! Fantastic! We'll definitely come when the courtyard is open! By the way, the castle in Ljubljana is just as impressive!

Beautiful castle, entry + museum for 18 CHF a little expensive. Great for families and children (very child-friendly) children's museum and play attic for children.

The focus is on interactive, entertaining content for children and young people. The ideas are great and the implementation was also successful. From my point of view, the only thing that can be criticized is the confusing tour through the rooms and buildings (tour?).

One of the most beautiful castles I have seen so far, if not the most beautiful. We were here on a theme day and everything was perfect. I found the museum tour particularly beautiful and exciting. Very impressive.

We did the Lenzburg Castle Foxtrail on a Sunday and loved it! It was very exciting and the castle is absolutely impressively renovated and really big😀😀 After spontaneously catering from the medieval kitchen, we enjoyed the beautiful castle garden at the end....

I have been coming here my whole life. Its always a pleasure to be back. Everything is well maintained, the prices are fair and its just fun to explore. Almost everything is also written in English. The soup at the restautant was also suprizingly good.

Great place to run with family. I had a lot of fun with my daughter.

The castle is large and impressive. There is a lot to see and admire. Unfortunately, some areas were rented out due to two weddings and are therefore not accessible to visitors. Plenty of activity and entertainment is provided for children. Not wheelchair accessible! There is also a small bistro in the castle. The food there was surprising. For 14 francs you can get, among other things, a pair of Wienerli with potato salad. The portion isn't huge, but I think it's worth the price. Overall, the trip to Lenzburg Castle is worth it and I can recommend it.

Always charming!. The cafeteria doesn't have too many options but you can bring something to eat at the tables, outside de castle.

A large “playground” with an extra forest castle for children. The castle is in very good condition and is worth seeing. I had the worst coffee ever here.

A beautiful and fabulous place. Who loves fairy tales about dragons and knights - this is the place for him. There is a children's corner where children can spend several hours. There is a cafe, but due to the rain all the tables were occupied.

It was a great visit. Beautiful castle and the castle courtyard is also very beautiful. I also really like the children's museum where the children can dress up and do crafts. I also thought it was great that the story was told on the walls using shadow play.

Lenzburg Castle has been a huge highlight for me since I was a child. So I was really happy to visit this castle with my children. My son (3 year old) grabbed a few pebbles and dropped them into the sewer shaft. Unfortunately, the manager (!) found it necessary to reprimand my son in a rude manner. "You can take a couple of pebbles home with you and flush them down the toilet!!" We were so disappointed and angry that they couldn't discuss this with us parents. Very unfortunate. A repeat visit is out of the question for me. We got our money back and left.

A beautiful castle with a great museum for old and young. The castle dragon Fauchi fascinates every child and the children's museum offers costumes and a great play area for discovering and even doing crafts; the great exhibition is also exciting for adults. The castle garden is also beautiful. Entry free for Raiffeisen customers.

Great facility with history (also a museum) and great views

Medium-sized castle complex with rooms from different eras, the development over time is well explained. Relatively relaxed for parents as the little ones are busy. Lots of space for older people to relax. A beautiful café in the baroque garden invites you to enjoy delicious coffee and cake. Not overcrowded even on weekends. A beautiful experience that should not be missed.

Everything was old. That was really annoying and I couldn't call my aunt with my cell phone. It was most likely because of the mathematical problem: n!=∫0∞xne−x dx. I do not recommend this. POINT! BOOM

A really great place to explore the history of the region and our ancestors with or without children. The castle also offers many backdrops for photography or to linger.

Visited Schloss Lenzburg (Lenzburg Castle) on a cloudy day in late April 2023. It's a charming castle complex perched on a hill that has been repurposed as a museum. Informative exhibitions about the history of the castle and region. The history of the ownership of the castle is interesting. The Unicorn exhibition is small but interesting. Lovely castle garden and a nice hiking trail nearby. Definitely worth visiting!

Very nice castle with a small garden and cozy self-service café. Delicious cakes and small dishes. You have a beautiful view from the castle. Concerts take place regularly. You can reach the castle via a shady path (stairs) with many benches.

Great event happening here - medieval re-enactments. The castle is definitely worth a visit. There is also restaurant.

The brunch was good. With families it would have been desirable if there had been milk and yoghurt with muesli or corn flakes. But otherwise very good. The castle is clean and in excellent condition.

Well maintained facility and interesting exhibition

Yes, we weren't there with our 3 children! It was great for the older two! They were very interested and had fun too! But it wasn't for the little one, because you have to leave the stroller by the stairs in front of the checkout, so we had to carry it the whole time!

A castle burg integrated into the majestic nature, entrance fee

The entrance fee was only 5 fr per head just to visit the castle but if you paid 15 fr, the museum is also included. A well kept castle with a small self serviced restaurant. There was a lovely lady sharing her knowledge about herbs and their uses during the old days.

interesting tour, even if it was not with a guide, but an explanation was written on the boards for all the exhibits. I recommend a visit. There is a restaurant in the garden and on the top floor there is a children's corner where two lovely ladies (employees of the Známku) devote themselves to children and make various decorations from paper, so no member of the family will be bored.

Nice facility with lots of options :) Children's museum staff not flexible. Because of 1.5 minutes the play castle could not be explored even though it is open until 1630. The staff at the entrance said we should visit the children's museum as it would be closing soon. At first they said we were 1.5 minutes late. At the same time, a larger group left the children's museum and other children continued to do crafts. The staff seemed to want to go home as quickly as possible. The staff in the coffee shop saved the trip with delicious cakes and an uncomplicated manner :)
