Lido in Mendrisio

Clean environment with helpful and friendly staff, varied products: such as croissants of all kinds and both cold and hot drinks. The prices are affordable and it is located a short walk from the station about 5 minutes walk. I highly recommend it for anyone who is in Riva San Vitale for a breakfast or a snack. Presence of the bus stop in front. Private parking at the Lido bar for customers.

A wonderful place with a warm atmosphere and helpful and attentive staff. I was pleasantly surprised when I went inside and found access to the shore, with showers and changing rooms, you can enjoy coffee or something stronger on the terrace or on the beach itself. I ordered black tea and the waitress offered lemon. I read my mind. P.S. Please create a PayPal wallet for people like me😉

I went there as a child, private parking without a fee, free entry but you can eat there, nice as always, friendly staff.

Friendly and kind staff. Quick and fast service. Good coffee and croissants. You can't find many wholemeal croissants in bars but they're excellent to taste...

Beautiful place with direct access to the lake. With a private beach, which you can access as a customer if you want. It is not a luxury beach (cabins, external toilet...) all a bit old, but it is beautiful and romantic all the same. There is even a lifeguard. I find this "location" fantastic, as they say today. Apparently, it is also a popular place to have a drink outside during the summer, have an aperitif and even eat something for the little hungry. You can understand this because it is always well visited and quite full, yet there is always a place to be found. ------- I thank the owners and staff (always kind and efficient) for everything! (The only flaw - be careful! - is that you cannot pay with cards/pos.)

Lovely lido with super friendly staff, great (craft) beer selection and snacks. You can swim in the lake, sunbathe on the lawn and have nice cold drinks. Perfect place to spend a free day.

I really liked this picturesque place. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is here. Namely, changing rooms, a toilet, a shower you can take after the lake, a washbasin to wash your hands, fruit. You can rent: catamarans, subs with life jackets. There is a lifeguard on duty who watches the swimmers. The water is clear, but there is some algae. There are free chairs, there is a table for playing ping pong, fans of this game take rackets and balls with them. These tables are everywhere, even in the refugee camp there were several tables for this game. There are also trash cans throughout the area. Everywhere is clean and beautiful. !!!A mandatory condition for visiting this beach is buying beer or ice cream. You can also have a delicious meal in the cafe. Friendly staff is waiting for you. Dogs are not allowed on this beach. And thanks again for your hospitality.

Courteous manager and excellent chocolate, a negative note is the absence of the POS, which led us to pay the 32 euros for the snack via SEPA bank transfer. Anachronistic.

Bar del Paese Not even me...Nhl Hcl...Dan Nico Monica...nice I used to live nearby and it was easy to get there on foot or by bike but as soon as I pass through the area I stop there...I miss the place.. .there is nothing similar here then it was the HCL fans club...we ate in company and watched the match together, too bad...

Always kind and helpful, I have been frequenting for several years, a very welcoming place for adults and children. They provide free surfboards that can be used as water mattresses. A stone's throw from the Capolago in Ticino station, 15 minutes from the Ponte Chiasso customs, also convenient for arrival and access.

Great place! This is my second year to visit. Helpful bar staff despite the language barrier :) Good place to swim. Yes there are some plants in the water but it's nature.

No entry is positive. Unfortunately, the lake is very overgrown and the "lianas" are like nets when swimming. Bar service not yet tested.
