There are 3 restaurants on Dorfplatz, Oberdeck, Engel and Linde. Linde is the nicest in terms of outdoor location. Oberdeck is by far the best for food. After multiple visits, i have never been disappointed. Linde was good, but 4* good. Salad and spring roll appetizers were ordinary, fish great and veal paillard good. Service a bit uneven, from friendly to overwhelmed.

I was on the beautiful terrace of the Linde Stans on a Thursday afternoon and had lunch there. The lunch menu offered bratwurst twice. I chose Älplermagronen. In a traditional Nidwalden pub they have to be good. But unfortunately it's far from the truth. The Älplermagronen served by the Linde for 18 francs had nothing to do with Magronen. Penne rigate served as the basis. The sauce was also glassy and oily, there was no fine cream, as you would expect from Niedermachen, and there was no wonderful cheese taste. A good portion of fried onions was also missing. The applesauce served with it was far too sweet for me. Unfortunately, the burnt cream that I ordered as dessert didn't convince me either. However, the Linde was world class in one discipline: service.

Good food but it takes far too long to finally pay. Had to ask 3 times because no one came. While I had to wait, my table was rained on. Very uncomfortable.

We were promptly greeted and even as a party of six, we were welcomed and tables were put together for us. The wine and beer selection was great, and we started with fresh bread and olives. From there we ordered several different options, including beef tartare, filet, and schnitzel. All were terrific. We also had the pleasure of their corn cream croquette, which was homemade and delicious. Their service was terrific and very kind to English-speakers. And the view was just gorgeous- with a view of the town square and mountains.

Great selection of dishes, all requests were catered for without further ado, everyone was enthusiastic about the service and the quality of the food was excellent. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area.

We went here for dinner on New Year's Eve. Service and food was excellent. The restaurant was very nicely decorated and, in addition to very good food, also offers top wines at moderate prices.

The restaurant is recommended. The food is tasty, fresh, regional and seasonal. You should usually make a reservation 😊 On my last visit, however, the liver as well as the supplementary food respectively. The vegetables can be cooked better and longer. The liver was quite tough and bloody, but the vegetables were too crunchy for my taste.

My wife had two long hairs in her plate during the main course. We told the waitress this. Although we also consumed CHF 400, there was no reaction from the waitress when we paid. The prices are rather high (for dessert we had a scoop of ice cream with a bit of chocolate for CHF 7.50!!!)

Wir waren im Kurzurlaub in Stans und wollten das Restaurant Linde nicht verpassen.Perfekt gelegen am schönsten Dorfplatz der Schweiz. Saisonale Küche, für Liebhaber perfekten Fleisches geeignet. Der Service war typisch Einheimisch freundlich. Vorspeise Kürbissuppe frisch und herzhaft, Hauptgang Entrecote selten auf diesem Top Niveau erlebt & das Dessert für den grossen Hunger. Top Weinkarte zu sehr vernünftigen Preisen.Herzlichen Dank aus dem Thurgau. Wir kommen wieder :-)

Ich entschied mich für meine Standard-Variante: grüner Salat mit Italo-sauce - Kalbspaillard mit KB (Kräuterbutter) und Pommes-frites. Geschnetzeltes Hirschfilet - wunderbar, gerne wieder - kann ich nur empfehlen, Service perfekt, aufmerksam, sehr freundlich. Mein Platz am 6er Tisch auf der Bank in der Ecke hätte besser sein können aber auch das ist akzeptabel. Preise über Durchschnitt aber für das was geboten wird ist es korrekt.

Haben einen sehr gemütlichen Abend im Restaurant Linde verbracht, der grosse Tisch in der Mitte ist toll für Einzelpersonen oder zweier geeignet und man kommt schnell ins Gespräch, der Service war sehr freundlich und das essen wunderbar, frische Leber mit einer tollen Gemüsegarnitur und Rösti als Beilage kann ich nur empfehlen, jederzeit wieder, vielen Dank an alle.

We saw this place and decided to give it a try, and we are glad we did! We had the 3 course meal that concluded with the wild venison, by far the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Excellent service, amazing food and a beautiful view.

I hurriedly found this place because I had to have lunch at Stans after climbing the Stanserhorn! The person who guided me was a man, and he did a great job! They showed me today's menu and kindly explained it in English, and even asked me how I liked the food after it was served, which I was so thankful for! I had schnitzel, pasta of the day, and sausage (with added rösti) and it was delicious! I recommend it!! This restaurant was very good. Foods are delicious. The server was a man. He was very very super kind. My family has a good time. :) thank you.

Wenn das perfekt auf den Punkt gegarte Angus Entecote nicht in einem Jus gelegen hätte, wäre es perfekt gewesen. Schade um den leckeren Kräuterbutter! Perfekt war dafür das Mascarpone Risotto mit dem Ennetmooser Saibling Filet und die gemischten Salate als Vorspeise. Auch der ausgewählte Rotwein im Offenausschank hat die Erwartungen erfüllt. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und sehr freundlich, dafür 5 !

Waiter polite, I came at around 9pm and can only order salad and some light foods. Quiet place, good environment . Salad is fresh. Price is reasonable. Apricot cake is a bit sour for me. Can't find tiramisu or chocolate cake on dessert menu. Mainly ice cream

Nice ambience, delicious food, very friendly service.

I ordered pasta but they were too salty. Moreover, the taste was not as good as expected especially the tomato sauce. My wife ordered a soup and it was merely acceptable let alone the quantity.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit wunderbarem Ambiente, ausgezeichnetes Essen, sehr gute, ausgewählte Wein Selektion, herrlich draussen mit dem Blick auf den Dorfplatz das feine Essen und die Top-Bedienung zu geniessen. Das Personal kennt sich super aus zu den Angeboten an Essen und Trinken. Die Hotel Zimmer kann ich leider nicht bewerten, war jeweils immer nur zum Essen da. Das war aber immer ein wunderbar, feines Erlebnis. Wir kommen wieder.

Unser Club 222 aus Niederbipp hat auf dem jährlichen Mitgliederausflug zum Mittagessen Halt in der Linde gemacht. Nach einer sehr feinen Rüeblisuppe, wurde ein kleiner Salat serviert.Danach ein Vegiteller (mit Käse-Kartoffelntascheb und Gemüse), ein Rahmschnitzel mit Nüdeli oder ein Cordon Bleu mit Gratin.Tolle Küche, grosse Portionen und sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsniveau.Zudem wurden wir von den Angestellen mlt einem selten gesehenen Service bedient. Einfach genial. Da kommen wir wieder nach Stans...Danke und Gruss vom Club 222 aus Bipp!

Hier gegeten tijdens onze doorreis naar Italie. We verbleven in Hotel Engel maar kozen er toch voor bij Linde te eten vanwege de kaart en terras. Bediening is zeer vriendelijk, en de kok komt persoonlijk even langs om welkom te heten en te vragen of alles ok is.Aanrader is de vegetarische groenteschotel, deze is buitengewoon lekker, ook voor een vleesliefhebber als alternatief.

Nach einem Prosecco bestellte ich einen grünen Blattsalat. Als Hauptgang Geschnetzelte Kalbsleber mit Kräutern und Tomatenwürfeln - als Beilage Pommes frites. Als Wein den Merlot “Sassarei” aus dem Tessin. Zum Schluss Espresso mit Calva. Service TOP - Küche TOP.
