The best pizza we have ever had in our lives. From all the ‘amazing’ Italian we have eaten over the years- this is a stand out. Whenever and wherever we are in Europe- we will drive to this restaurant. We once drove 6 hours from Germany just to have dinner here. The service is friendly, genuine and unpretentious. The ambiance and decor is average, but you’re in the alpine region, so you don’t really notice- nobody can compete with the mountains. So glad we found this unsuspecting place. Thanks so much for existing- from a couple of food snobs from Sydney :)

Nice Italian place with limited menu. Lots of pizza, a few pastas, creative salads, good wine list, tasty gelato. Service was very efficient and the pasta portion (seafood pasta) was huge! Fresh Insalata di Rucola a pleasant change from the ordinary. Very busy on Saturday night so it was a good thing we made a reservation.

Simple but pretty and cozy restaurant in beautiful Appenzell. The pizzas are excellent, the chilli oil automatically belongs on the table and the wine selection is wonderful for a cozy pizza evening. The staff was great, very friendly and attentive. We didn't have any special requests but they would definitely be fulfilled. Whatever you don't eat, you get it well packaged. We followed a tip and will definitely come back. We can only recommend the pizzeria with its friendly hosts!

Food was a 10 but service was a 0. We waited about a hour for our dinner and then the waitress comes by and asks if we would like any coffee. They forgot to put our meals in. As we are waiting for our food we notice the waitress as been sitting with another couple drinking and smoking while we just sat there. Also almost every time we would order something we would get the strangest look. I didn’t know a Coke with ice was such a big deal. We will not return.
