The café is a feel-good place. The food and drink is beautifully prepared and extremely tasty. I can recommend it to everyone. You can also have many vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Little Sem becomes my favorite place. I was there for now only one time but it was amazing time. Coffee is so delicious, but bagel was like from heaven. It was italian bagel, so delicious, fresh. I can highly recommend that place.

It's always packed, so make sure you make a reservation. There is a single toilet in the restaurant for all guests... The food and drinks are good. Good choice.

The visit to the restaurant with our large group was disappointing. Despite making a reservation in advance, we waited over 15 minutes for an unprepared table. The staff seemed uninformed about our reservation, even though our hostess had communicated the orders in advance. The waiting time was exacerbated by drinks being served incorrectly or not at all as the staff clearly did not have a good knowledge of the menus. The pre-ordered menus were served with a considerable delay, so that all hot dishes were cold. The platters of meat or cheese looked unappetizing after such a long time. The poor organization resulted in a delay in leaving the restaurant, which affected the subsequent program. At the moment I cannot recommend the restaurant, especially not for larger groups.

We had reserved for brunch on October 1st, 23. After 45 minutes of waiting and multiple questions/complaints, the coffee finally arrived. Until then we were stuck on dry land. Another 15 minutes later (after threatening that we would now leave) the food came. Other tables didn't have as much patience and ran away. In addition, the order was not recorded correctly. The food was good, but all in all it wasn't worth the wait. When paying we asked for a discount, which we didn't receive despite what we had experienced. Really not recommended!

Nice location in the heart of Aarau. We stop here for a coffee. The service was too slow, but I appreciated the tea was made with real leaf and not pre-packed.

Lunch at "Little Sem". The burger "El Obelisco" was very tasty. The quality of the beef was very good, the other ingredients were also very good and everything was freshly prepared. The fries were also very good and above all crispy 👍🏻 . The waiting time was too long (45 minutes). Since I had to go back to work and I didn't want to scarf down the food. The waitress should come to the table while I was eating and ask if everything was OK, maybe you would like some more Order the delicious sauce or order something to drink... In addition to burgers, the menu also includes other dishes, daily menu, breakfast, salads, desserts and ice creams. All in all, a great, innovative, pretty little restaurant.

The latte macchiato was just a glass of milk and didn't taste like anything. The toilet was different... when you point it out to the staff, you get dirty looks. If you sit outside, 4 big buses drive by within 30 minutes, so close you can touch them, the exhaust fumes are not appetizing...

Were there for breakfast on Friday morning, August 11th, 2023, at 9 a.m. There were unattended people sitting all around. The service specialist walked past us several times without taking a look at us. We weren't served and ended up having breakfast somewhere else. We've never experienced anything like this before. You might save money on service staff, but you will lose customers! A pity!

The coffee here is really good, and there's also a large selection of ice cream. The staff and the boss are super friendly and attentive 👍

A wonderful experience at Little Sem in Aarau I recently had the pleasure of enjoying Little Sem's brunch offerings in Aarau and would like to share my positive experience. From start to finish it was an exceptional dining experience. The first thing I noticed was the warm welcome from the friendly staff. Not only were they extremely accommodating, but they were also very knowledgeable about Bruch's various dishes. I felt like we were in good hands. The selection of food was impressive. From freshly baked bread and croissants to a variety of spreads, cheeses and sausages, there was something for every taste. We were particularly impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the care that went into the preparation. I was pleasantly surprised that many of the dishes were freshly prepared. This gave the brunch a special flair and made the experience even more authentic. Of course, some dishes take a little longer to prepare, but the patience was definitely worth it. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and inviting. The decor was modern and stylish, and there was enough space to relax and enjoy the food. A variety of sweet treats awaited us, including homemade cakes, tarts and desserts. Every bite was a treat for the senses and perfectly rounded off the brunch experience. Overall, my brunch at Little Sem in Aarau was an unforgettable experience. I was impressed by the high-quality food and the lovingly designed atmosphere. I recommend Little Sem to anyone looking for a first-class brunch experience. However, make sure you have enough time to fully enjoy the freshly prepared food.

Great for smaller meetings / lovely atmosphere.

Four of us went to Little Sem for brunch/lunch on a Sunday in the spring. The restaurant is pleasantly designed, the staff was very friendly and the menu also had a fairly varied offering for a café. Our food and drinks arrived after about 20-30 minutes and were of good quality. However, my salad didn't have enough dressing for my taste. When we wanted to pay, we asked the staff for the bill. Unfortunately this took a very long time and after over 10 minutes we decided to go to the front to pay. As already mentioned, the staff was very friendly and so I assume that it was probably due to the training or the division of labor. That's a shame, because the overall impression was otherwise rather positive.

Little Sem is located in the center of old town Aarau. They serve a variety of foods, including Burgers, Bagels, and Brunch. Vegetarian options available. In the summer, you can sit outside, enjoying the view of the historic building. Fast and friendly service.

We went for Brunch. Booking in advance is recommended. The restaurant is modern and located in a big avenue in Aarau. The inside is quite bright with big windows & feels cozy. They had 2 Brunch options: a smaller one and a bigger one (same as small one but with cold meat & cheese, a Prosecco glass and an extra hot drink). We ordered one of each and it was the perfect amount for the two of us. Good quality ingredients, deli bread and fresh groceries. Staff were kind & profesional. We will come back!

I liked the atmosphere at Little Sem. The restaurant was well attended on the weekend. The cappuccino was fine. The prices for breakfast/brunch are good.

Nice location, very central in the old town. Certainly not bad for a coffee with dessert or a drink. However, we were there for lunch and it was very disappointing! The two of us have 40 minutes. Waited for the hit of the day (fitness plate with falafel/chicken breast). Restaurant was pretty empty. Very small portions for CHF 25 each, a disgrace. Taste OK, but never again.

Rarely experienced such poor service. The food could be described as good but the service leaves a very bad aftertaste. I recommend you to avoid this disaster. There are a lot of beautiful and good places in Aarau. Bon appetit.

Amazing authentic food! The best!

The food is absolutely amazing!

They say patience brings roses. This is what our visit for brunch today showed. Admittedly, there were a lot of guests there, but I still think the 1-hour wait until the breakfast we ordered (without any special requests) was on the table was a bit long. The “big sem” brunch compensated us for the long wait. The breakfast was really delicious, smoked ham, a fine selection of cheeses and even a Bircher muesli compensated us for the really long wait. When it came to bread, a highlight for me was the bacon plait, which was really tasty. So my tip: Plan enough time for your brunch visit and maybe eat a banana at home beforehand so that you can survive the waiting time, it's worth it!

Sunday afternoon. We had to go to the counter ourselves to get the cake. That was also because of paying. Our table wasn't cleaned and the waiter was very confused. It's a shame because the cake and coffee were very good.

Were simply ignored for the second time today, even though there wasn't much going on in the coffee shop. Really miserable, especially when you are skillfully ignored and not even given a glance by such an unfriendly Eastern European woman. Never again, you deserve this 50 franc loss!

For the second time we were not served. We were skillfully ignored and customers who came after us were given priority. Then you ask and get a cheeky answer from the Eastern Bloc lady. It's a shame, I was here every week.

We chose this cafe because it offers a cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, we were coldly ignored both at the checkout and at our seat. Other guests who arrived later were served before us, even though they looked us directly in the eye several times. As an apology we were told that they thought we had already ordered. When we were finally able to place our order, the waitress came back to the table after 5 minutes and asked if she had written down the correct order. Nevertheless, only half arrived at our premises and was only given to us upon request. Anyone who tried the green plasticine as a child also knows what the brownies taste like. The coffee was quite good. With a lot of patience you can stop there for coffee. Since there are a few other good cafés in Aarau, I wouldn't recommend a visit to anyone who doesn't have a lot of time.

Delicious ice cream, and very good coffee...unfortunately one star has to be removed because of ice cream, 7.5fr. for supposedly 3rd scoop of ice cream, and they are made with a spoon, which in my opinion doesn't correspond to 3 scoops.

On our first visit today we ordered a vegetable curry with basmati rice. There wasn't much of the vegetables to be seen, apart from 2-3 beans and about 4 cashew nuts. The rice was overcooked and soggy. It was also bland and no trace of curry. CHF 19.- for a meal like this is excessive and almost cheeky. Unfortunately not recommended.

My conclusion for lunch: There are too many good restaurants to have to look in here... 1. The table wobbled so much that it was impossible to eat properly on it, I've never experienced anything so extreme, well, it can happen... on that changed the table. 2. You have to ask about the lunch menu because only CHF 19.00 for vegi and CHF 22.00 for the meat menu are mentioned, you can do that... 3. You have to order lunch yourself at the counter and pay straight away (can also be a concept...) then Wait around 40 minutes (ah, that's why you pay in advance..., now I understand the concept!) and then you get a really great starter, with absolutely nothing wrong with the taste, it was cooked really well, unfortunately it turned out that it wasn't a starter but the menu?! We then went to eat the main course at another place. A bit expensive, but as I said, there are enough good restaurants to have lunch... We were definitely here for the last time...

Were there for lunch. Positive: The food was flawless and very well prepared. BUT: 22.- for a really measly portion without any starter (salad or soup), the price/performance ratio is not right. We left the restaurant hungry. A pity.

We waited 45 minutes for two burgers with fries... The organization was different, the staff was overwhelmed even though only the terrace was open.

We were at Little Sem on May 9th and wanted to eat ice cream. At first we stood at the ice cream counter for a solid 10 minutes without anyone being able to take an order or speak to us, even though the staff looked over at us several times and there were other people there who would have liked to order something. Finally we went into the restaurant and ordered the ice cream at the counter. It was then brought to our table but unfortunately without cream as we had ordered. When asked about this, the waitress said that she had to first ask the kitchen whether there was still cream (at 2 p.m.)! After another 10 minutes of waiting, I asked the waitress again (the ice cream was half eaten in the meantime). She forgot to tell us that it was out of whipped cream. We then asked for the surcharge for the undelivered cream back. Answer: We would have ordered without cream otherwise it would have been delivered. Unfortunately we couldn't prove the opposite without a receipt. Conclusion: Long waiting time, unfriendly and overwhelmed staff who obviously didn't understand where their salary comes from. In the future we will eat our ice cream where you are treated like guests.

I find price/performance catastrophic. A pure weapon for 9 chf. Saviour. Homemade iced tea 6 chf. Unfortunately, of the two flavors, the orange/passion fruit was not round, bitter and therefore not enjoyable. The ice cream costs up to 2 flavors 4 chf, 3 flavors, or the medium size 7.50 and large or up to 4 flavors 10.50. If, as an entrepreneur, I save on packaging and the price becomes more expensive, I don't understand the logic and customer friendliness. It's super nice inside, even if it's currently not usable. And I would also like to take credit for the reusable drinking straws.

Unfortunately they can't make coffee.

For those who have time, you can order something from a café to cake, long waiting times and I had the feeling the staff started a day ago. For example, the whole time we were there we had other people's dishes on the table and they were still dirty on the table.

Very nice restaurant and fine. The only thing missing is some charisma from the staff. They have a lot from Argentina but when the boss is there and hears that you are also from Argentina and doesn't tell you anything even though she speaks perfect Spanish. I find something wedding ring think Argentinian customers are not so welcome... Small details are missing and so it could be much better. They bring you food and there is no fork at the table? And do you have to ask for a fork? For such a price everything should be perfect. Empandas are very fine but small 55.. 65 grams so to be full you need about 4 empandas. But otherwise everything is ok, just a little more likeable.

The place is quite OK. The service was friendly, but the information about the chai latte was not entirely correct. The ice was sometimes very hard and almost crumbly, I have no idea how that is possible. There is an additional star deduction due to the unclean toilet. All in all, an option to avoid. I will definitely come back again and maybe reconsider my opinion. Let's see how it develops.

The quality of Coffee House Little Sem is by far above average. I attach great importance to freshness and Swissness (Swiss meat and products), as well as beautiful furnishings. Cake is freshly prepared every day. Definitely worth a visit.

Poor price/performance ratio. That means: For these very high prices, the food and drinks are simply not good enough, and the service is unfriendly. I felt like I was in a Zurich would-be hip trendy bar that was forced to be different, special and, above all, EXPENSIVE.

Ideal café for pensioners who have endless time... Guests who don't value friendliness and good service will feel really welcome. People without service training are urgently needed for support. Because the staff is overwhelmed, the beautiful restaurant doesn't come into its own as it should. The price performance is not justified. The wait for a coffee was 35 minutes, with brunch following another 15 minutes later. We had to get the information ourselves that we were allowed to help ourselves at the bread buffet. Unfortunately there was only half a loaf of bread left on the buffet (around 12 p.m.). There was no apology or nice gesture. The answer to our question “if that’s all there is to it” was “we’re out of bread.” Very disappointing brunch... First and last visit!
