We had a quick lunch in this countryside eatery, located close to the Aare river the first Saturday of March 2024 before going out on a bird photoshoot. We chose fish from a rather restricted menu and were served deep fried trout. Unfortunately, the high temperature in the oil will overcook the thin filets of fish, contrary to if a chunk of haddock had been used like in a classical fish and chips dish. Like often in Swiss restaurants, potatoes were undercooked. The service is impeccable and the wine list is rich, filled with both domestic and foreign options. We chose wine by the glass that was good but not cheap for what was in the glass. Finally, we always remove one star when being billed for tap water despite having an alcoholic beverage.

Our absolute favorite restaurant in Oberaargau. Great, seasonal food, friendly and very competent staff and a very select wine cellar.

As always it was great. And a short walk along the Aare is simply part of it. My recommendation, be sure to make a reservation.

Despite the full house, we were given a table for two in the dining room and were able to enjoy a delicious parsnip soup at 2 p.m.

We had a very nice meal with friends in a very cozy atmosphere, accompanied by a very good "Terre di Vico" from Tuscany.

Quite unexpectedly, when we returned from a road trip, we came across Restaurant Löwen, a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with authentic and extremely courteous service. The atmosphere was inviting and warm, and the dining experience was simply outstanding. The chef presented dishes that can undoubtedly reach Michelin level. Everything was perfect down to the smallest detail and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. An unforgettable moment in a restaurant not to be missed!

I always like to eat with you, I'm always really happy about the great Wyy charte, the recommended hand until ezz always has black spots and sweet dishes are world class xi! It's nice, but oh-so-mer always finds delicious snacks and special daily specials that always blow me away! The prices for the wyy or for the chairs are more than reasonable, your overall package makes you so valuable! I think it's important to have a saw again. I'm really excited about how long you've been eating and wondering if it's good and we're overjoyed that there's no menu and drippings that you've been drinking! I'm looking forward to seeing you again! Thank you dear team!

If you have to go home early, the dessert you order will be charged at full price. On the one hand it's understandable, but on the other hand it's not customer-friendly.

Spectacular! The service received was more than excellent, the guys who served us were super gentle, kind and you could tell that they did their work with love, especially the young boy. We were fortunate to receive an explanation of the menu from the chef who, with dedication and kindness, provided us with the recommendations of the day. It really was a spectacular evening and the place is really beautiful. We are sure to return and of course to recommend. The food, not to mention; a delight! We were fascinated and very grateful.

Friendliest service staff I have ever encountered in Switzerland. Both chefs welcomed us. The starter was wonderful - feta mousse with various side dishes, an unparalleled taste carousel that made my heart beat faster😋 Local beef on the menu was awesome and the Coup Löwen was also excellent. The food was good, the service was very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. However, we found the menu a bit lean and very tightly and firmly written with "changes will be charged at CHF 2" and "will not be served as a main course".

Stayed overnight in Graben near Langenthal in a motorhome and came across this restaurant by chance. Absolutely worth recommending. Great location, beautiful restaurant combining old and new. The service was excellent. We were always treated in a friendly and courteous manner. The staff clearly enjoy their work. The dessert buffet was run by two apprentices who were extremely friendly and motivated. The food was great. The salad dressing on the starter salad was extremely tasty. The rest of the menu was also very good. We'd love to come back.

So we haven't experienced anything like this before: for 2 p. We made a reservation at lunchtime and when we wanted to order and said that we just wanted an appetizer first and then we'd see how hungry we were (then maybe something else or a dessert), the waiter told us (very loudly and indignantly) that this is not possible here. At least we would have to order the main course, since the place settings and bread were free. And these prices could only be covered with the main course... at the end it became almost insulting... We left immediately. The only plus point: the young waiter was very nice and humane! He was really uncomfortable. Hospitality seems to be a priority here. So overall very disappointing. We definitely won't be coming back!
