It was great as always. We will miss you very much here in the region.

Yesterday I was able to enjoy a wonderful gourmet menu with my wife. There was a fantastic combination of excellent courses with a clear line and a surprising acidity/sweetness. A good drop of wine was served to accompany each course. The whole thing was packaged in an impressive ambience in the wine cellar, as well as original presentation and a very courteous host. Despite the impending closure, nothing is lost in quality, so it's worth visiting the Loohof again! Thank you very much family C.

We were able to enjoy an exhilarating birthday party together with 50 guests on August 27th, 2022 at the Loohof in Oftringen. The location of the location, the rooms, the ambience and the cool crew under chef Daniel Pittet offered all the stops of fine dining, incredibly creatively they made our taste buds explode. All the guests were extremely excited. We have a certain sadness as the Loohof is closing its doors. In our opinion, an irreparable loss of gastronomy that can hardly be topped in the region as a whole. Dear Mr. Pittet, many thanks to you and your entire wonderful team for this indescribably beautiful, solid Tavolata, prepared with passion! My 60th birthday became the ultimate taste experience for us. You may have noticed that my little company was relatively quiet…. We, 4 people, were the only guests. At least I didn't see any others. Food, you have to like it, wasn't a burner. Service half as good as expected for an inn with 14 points. There was ravioli on the menu, we received gnocchi, with the excuse that I didn't have any more, so I would change it beforehand or even change the menu (printed out sheet). If we had already made a reservation, with the remark that it was someone's birthday, I would have expected a little surprise, like a sparkler or something similar. In addition, a greeting from the chef, after all, he was there, would have been nice. There is no wine list, although on the homepage: “Wine and spirits. “Only the best is good enough for our guests.” It's a shame that the Loohof doesn't close until December, actually it could close today.

Fine dinning with great food and great service in a very nice environment. All plates are carefully assembled and look amazing. And this adds one more level to the explosion of tastes when you eat them. Extensive wine list with Swiss and imported wines. And on top of that, if you have a dog, there is a dog menu and also a comfy bed is there for your four legged friend. We would definitely return.

If you want to pamper yourself with culinary delights, the Loohof is the right place. The food is a delight for the taste buds and the eyes. A kitchen that creates true works of art. The service was absolutely accommodating. The ambience makes you feel comfortable. In short: the right place for lovers and connoisseurs of exceptional food.

There is no service at the Loohof, but rather a hostess who guides you through the evening. And all of this with a feel for the respective table and top technical knowledge. The cuisine is fantastic and deserves its rating. It's always a pleasure when the chef comes to the table at the end of a restaurant to chat. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and can highly recommend the Loohof.

This restaurant is something very special. There is no menu here and you can be surprised. The restaurant itself has a very nice atmosphere and the service is very friendly. We enjoyed the food very much, you can tell that attention is paid to high-quality and seasonal ingredients. I only have one negative point for the vegetarian main course. This one was a bit dry as there was no sauce included in the dish. It would also be fair if the vegetarian menu had a slightly lower price than the meat menu.

We were at Loohof last night. It was great; SUPER... from A to Z. The food was a dream in terms of taste, composition and presentation. The service has long since made up for the “temporary help” situation with its charm... A true quantum leap has happened. We keep our fingers crossed to maintain the level. The dishes are beautifully presented. I had the rabbit. It was very good. The prices are in the higher segment. Service friendly. The landlord is very open to questions and suggestions. The first restaurant I visited where the bread wasn't run of the mill. Is recommended.

The food was excellent. The service was sometimes good but unfortunately not always. When it came to drinks, everything was simply put there and when I asked where the rest was, the waiter told me "we don't have that anymore". We were able to experience a wonderful Mother's Day at Loohof - with the best food and courteous staff... and all of this was Corona compliant at all times. The dishes were each beautifully prepared, well-balanced from the amuse bouche to the dessert, the portions were not too small and not too big (roast beef was offered twice as a second helping for the main course!), the kitchen really has a very fine, impeccable craftsmanship, created a great menu. This makes going to a restaurant really fun. The price/performance ratio is absolutely fine. The fact that the Loohof is in such a great location and has a beautiful garden makes everything even better. We are already looking forward to the restaurants opening so that we can visit the restaurant inside even when the weather is bad.

This was our second time at the Loohof and we treated ourselves to the gourmet menu. The restaurant can easily compete with the top restaurants in Aargau and Switzerland. The cuisine is very creative and varied and serves culinary delights on a very high menu. The price-performance ratio is right. The team is small but nice and very close to the customer, constantly collects feedback and the customer service is top notch. I would also like to particularly praise the honest and open communication with the guests, as the Loohof stands out clearly from all the restaurants we have visited so far. I liked the atmosphere, which was characterized by both the location (location and furnishings) and the courteous nature of the employees. The Loohof is able to stand out from the monotony that is increasingly spreading when it comes to restaurants in the Wiggertal. How? Through a menu that doesn't offer everything, but rather less, but better. If the menu is too extensive, you can freely ask what is really freshly cooked. This question does not arise here. The menu is certainly a bit meat-heavy (good for me) but you can choose alternatives. The sweet potato fries as a side dish were great, as was the meat and the service was very friendly. Despite the many guests (it was full house), the boss took enough time for the guests. Chapeau. The Corona rules were strictly adhered to. The table spacing was very good and Desi resources were available everywhere. The prices are not the cheapest compared to other restaurants. But if you take the performance and quality into account - and you should - they are adequate. No price dumping in purchasing, emphasis on quality, mostly regional products. If you understand and like these principles, the price is right for you. Conclusion: Finally! There is another restaurant nearby where you know what you are getting and which stands out for its classic, good dishes. Thanks. We will be back. Loohof? Oftringen? Noch nie gehört? Das sollte jeder, der entweder eine gut bürgerliche Küche oder ein Gourmet 6-Gang menu bevorzugt unbedingt mal besucht haben! Zugegeben ein Navi hilft bei der Suche, umso wird dies mit einer Freundlichkeit des Services und der Qualität des Essens belohnt! Wir haben uns für das Gourmet Menu entschieden - das war grossartig! Nicht nur für das Auge sondern auch für den Gaumen und Seele auf mindestens 14 Gault Millau Niveau gekocht...auch wenn Dani Pittet dies nicht braucht, diese klare Linie und Leidenschaft mit der gekocht und angerichtet wird, ist ein Traum. Und wenn man weiss wieviel Vorbereitung von 2 !! Köchen dahinter steckt, wird dies noch mehr einzuschätzen wissen. Bravo!!

Beautiful place to enjoy nature and food. Loohof is on the border with a forest and a village. If you are in Olten you can take one hour walk through the beautiful forest to the restaurant. A perfect place for those who like hiking and want to have a rest in a good restaurant ❤

Well, that was delicious! I can't remember the last time I ate such a buttery soft beef fillet, and then the sweet potato fries were amazing! Restaurant is in a very nice, quiet location. The hosts were very friendly and you didn't have to wait long for the food. It tasted very good and you can really tell that the host loves his job. Negative: extremely expensive dessert e.g. small ball of ice cream Fr. 6.-- miniature cream slices and WITHOUT vanilla cream. Re: Corona is not particularly respected - service staff and boss come very close to guests and the table is not disinfected for 2nd visitors! Only has a simple disinfection station at the entrance before and after eating. Thank you for the lovely, enjoyable evening!

Das Essen war mega fein...auch das Menu für den Hund war super, er bekam sogar eine Decke damit er sich während des Aufenthaltes sehr wohl gefühlt hat!Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!!
