The cuisine is excellent, personalized tartars are their specialty.

We came here with the gourmet passport, the food is very good, no complaints.

Disappointed to read the comments after having dinner. Apparently we had to have the tartare. Too bad... Lamb shank just thawed and hard, and Burger bigger than good. Nevertheless, the prices are affordable and suitable for all budgets. CHF 20.- for a Burger is exceptional! But that’s not all… I would add that we were offered a dessert which is very commercial.

A very good restaurant, apparently famous for beef tartare

Long service, yet the 2 waitresses provide, they are on all fronts. Beef tarare good, but the salmon one, too many onions! Very very fatty and therefore cloying salmon pasta.

I had a lovely evening at L'Oscar with real professional service and the quality of the products and really fresh drinks, super nice, I congratulate you and good luck.

Copious dishes, a friendly atmosphere and service. Small disappointment of the day, the quail was overcooked but that didn't spoil our evening. We will come back abev pleasure

A very pleasant place, delicious food at very reasonable prices. The weekly menus are very varied. Thank you also for the welcome and sympathy of everyone.

Very good tartare, tailor-made and with a certain choice of toppings! The service is smooth and pleasant, but failed to specify what size bottle for the wine. So we ended up with the large bottle and 1.5x more expensive 😅. Fortunately the wine list is excellent!

The salmon tagliatelle (suggestion of the week) was excellent, quick service and open from 11:30 a.m. Very advantageous for workers who do not want to waste too much lunch break time

Excellent tartare cut with a knife, possibility of choosing additional ingredients to season it. Served with french fries and a mixed salad as an entrée.

Superb address for crazy tartars like us. We've been there time and time again and it's not going to stop anytime soon. Really too bad they don't offer 1kg portions, we would happily take it. Very good service, the setting is nice, the hours are exceptional. An excellent address. Highly recommended.

Good food, welcome and deplorable service, the waitress didn't even offer us the menu of the day...and after we asked her, she jabbered at us with 2 menus which we did not understand what they were about....the cold tea which was not homemade was not good and served in a glass which did not contain the 3 dl that we paid... be careful with your glasses... we made the remark to the head waiter, she looked down on us. .. Not recommended.

Unpleasant waitress who looks down on us. Does not present us with the menu of the day after request, tells us Civet or chops. Don't talk about the accompaniments or the starters,... In addition, cold tea is not good but according to her, it tastes normal. In addition, she brings the wrong menus to the next table but doesn't apologize. She has the answer to everything. Don't smile, take us for idiots.... Apparently doesn't want to do this job anymore. The vanilla cream filled in the bowls by the waitress without any respect for the food and the pleasure of the eyes. Too bad for the restaurant, it is losing customers.

Great restaurant known for its tartars. I went there on a weekday and it turned out well, the meal of the day happened to be the tartare. 19.5 CHF accompanied by a salad and a dessert. Nothing to say. On the other hand, my daughter who had the steak and fries on the children's menu, I was very surprised to see that there were no vegetables.

Good tartare. Entrecôte sole with gratin bathed in oil. Dish of the day is fine. A waitress came to clear up and asked us if we wanted the dessert menus. We said yes but 20 minutes later still nothing, plus she was going to serve elsewhere, the person with the daily special did not get the dessert promised as display? Damage.

Very unpleasant waitresses, they don't smile, and absolutely don't offer a warm welcome. We had hamburgers, tartares and salmon pasta... we were very disappointed whether by the quantity of tartare which was really barely the size of a starter or by the fact that the salmon was so smoked and salty that were almost inedible The burger, go to a fast food restaurant it will be cheaper and better. Everything is industrial right down to the sauce, the cooking of the meat was not requested and so the burger arrived at the table with a steak so cooked that it was almost edible. (Even the bread wasn't good) And to conclude, even the salads were not good, a ready-made mixture in a plastic bag thrown into burnt filo pastry with a sauce that was still too salty and industrial. We weren't asking for anything gourmet but for the price we expected something of better quality In short, I don't recommend it!!

Classic dishes but excellently cooked, I recognize a real hotel mastery also reflected in the service.

We had the tartare, a specialty of the restaurant, prepared in front of us, with a choice of ingredients for each taste, great. The menu offers plenty of other interesting things.

Disappointed and this is not the first time by the service... a disaster. The waitresses are unpleasant, don't know how to organize themselves, with my husband we had Chinese fondue galore, super good but on the other hand we had to wait 30 minutes to get the fries as an accompaniment, then for a while we had to get up from ourselves to ask for meat because very small plate (plenty) for 2. (which in fact my husband was ignored by an elderly waitress) We were not the only ones to have to get up to recommend a few things, 2 other customers had to do so after several signs from their tables. I would like to say a word about meat, a lot of nerves about beef! This doesn't really make you want to have the fondue again, which is a shame because we were regulars, we were oblivious to the poor quality of the service but this was too much.

Absolutely avoid salmon, salmon carpaccio which is just two slices of tasteless smoked salmon, salmon tartare made with the same tasteless smoked salmon, soft toasted bread. Frozen scallops....

I discovered this restaurant with friends and I ate an excellent tartare there, at a very reasonable price! If you're in the area, don't hesitate to open the door!

Catering service: amateurs! Don’t trust them with your event! Trades Forum in Fribourg, where the number of exhibitors and visitors is known in advance - despite this, they had nothing left to eat at 1:15 p.m. (the service had started at 11:30 a.m.). They leave you in a line of around fifty people, without saying anything and even less apologizing. Aggressive response when you approach them on the subject. It’s shameful for people who claim to be professionals (a message they also dare to preach on their work uniform).

2nd time for us at the Oscar... we came because we follow our superb waitress 🤩 Nice surprise, very good tartare, fried perch fillets, thanks to the chef 👨‍🍳 More than fair price and superb service. Thank you very much and see you soon. Estelle ☀️

We were briefly in the location when we charged the Tesla on the Suoercharger. A coffee to go was possible and there were generally a lot of guests there. The sanitary facilities weren't super clean, but ok.

The Oscar isn't what it used to be. We were used to better. Not warm, rather aggressive telephone reception (I learn from the boss) when I ask if with our Realdeals vouchers we can have another dish for one of our young people by paying the difference. That you only have to take for 2 not 4 the good ones. I explain, we penalize the 3rd who likes tartare. Usually there are 5 of us. But no worries when the waitress explains it to us kindly, we take the tartare to go. The salad is no longer what it was, before always a beautiful fresh salad with generous sauce but this salad in a bag. We are served 3 tartars but we wait on the toast and fries that accompany it. And for dessert we ask for one to take away with the tartare and we are told not possible with the ice cream. Of course we only took the soft stuff, not the ice cream. There is not much effort to understand. Shame. We finally had to take the tartare and softness to the table before our desserts. I'm quite positive but now I need to share this discontent.

The tartar is just top notch, made in front of the customer with a wide choice of ingredients, truly excellent! Accompanied by a magnificent red wine, Senza Parole, which alone represents the Sun that could have been bottled! Easy to access, it is a good place for a team, family or couple outing. Very poor reception. We wanted to have a coffee while our car was charging right next door. We arrived at 2:20 p.m. on a Thursday and the very rude waitress told us that it was closed and that she was going to leave. While the timetable indicates that it is open until 3 p.m.

A very less pasta dish, a large quantity, but heavy, without finesse. The perch fillets are deep fried. Really not great, good potential for improvement.

I'm mixed because the first time I came it was good but this time we were really poorly received. The waitress was extremely rude. The food was good though. Overall a bad experience unfortunately. On the other hand, the second waitress was wonderful. Too bad it only served us for our desserts because it would undoubtedly have changed our evening.
