Very cozy café with a great range of drinks and an interesting shop - a win for Aarau's old town!

We always like to come here again and again. The location is designed to be inviting. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The drinks are prepared with a lot of love. And a trip to the basement with the shop is also worth it.

It's really cool to see the passion and commitment that goes into it. There is also top beer, the Monkey beer ;-)

For a coffee or tea, it's a great option.

I like the atmosphere during the week with a good latte macchiato (for me the best in Aarau) or on the weekend with friends and a cocktail. Always good music and a lovely and helpful staff. The vintage shop with very fair prices is located in the basement.

Back to the 50's The LM has made a lot of progress in the last few years, the range has really expanded, both in the shop with vintage crockery and children's clothes (from Grandma's knitting) and even in the café. There is not only a hot dog for lunch, but also a super delicious hot sandwich with homemade pesto, the Chnöpfli Töpfli or Grandma's homemade apple pie in addition to the already delicious cakes. Everything is prepared fresh and with love. You also have the opportunity to pre-order a picnic basket, which will be lovingly prepared and you will receive true vintage tableware for a great picnic. Nothing is run of the mill in LM. And soon it will be even more exciting in the LM - you can enjoy great cocktails from Thursday to Saturday from 5 p.m. and these will also be a special feast and nothing run of the mill. A visit to the LM is worth it, the staff are also great and you just feel like you're in mom's living room. Worth a visit!!

Speechlessness has never been able to be expressed in so many words, but every letter in this recession would have to represent a flavor, and even then it would be an understatement. Art has many faces, but here we have the Mona Lisa as a milkshake. Any walk past without stopping would have to be a cultural offense with a maximum penalty - in this case, missing out on this experience! If Picasso had cooked, he would have gone to school here. Art that refines every syllable of the word iced coffee. Simply breathtaking and 'cool'!

A cozy bistro that offers small snacks, sandwiches and sweets (cakes and tarts). Breakfast can also be served. Down in the basement there is a vintage clothing store for women and men including accessories. There are clothes for children in the back corner of the restaurant. The employees work in vintage style and also advise on clothes. This place is special because it is small and cozy and there is not a shop/restaurant like this around every corner.

A picnic in a class of its own! I treated myself to the picnic basket for two and it was a wonderful surprise to discover the delicacies together! Everything was delicious and so carefully prepared, the dishes were all real (porcelain, glass and Weck jars), no plastic and everything was practically packed in the basket and even the blanket was there. Even Peter couldn't deny it, even though he let the sun shine very modestly on our picnic. Can really recommend the picnic basket!

An absolute must! 🥰... and always worth a visit! The combination of cafe and shop is great, of course... (and you can also shop online). Of course I prefer visiting in person, but unfortunately due to the situation (and for me) it's not always possible. The cafe/shop is lovingly furnished and the shop offers a great selection (clothing - including real vintage items -, shoes, accessories and much more!!). The advice is top notch and everyone is always very friendly and accommodating. The cafe also offers milk alternatives, which I am very grateful for. So I too can enjoy a delicious “Käääääfeli”. My last contact was an online order (blouse). I received excellent advice via messages and thanks to the recommendation I was able to own a perfectly fitting blouse. Shipping was super-fast, the blouse was lovingly packaged, and what I was very happy about was that there was a personal, handwritten card included! Soooo beautiful! I will wear the blouse with joy, which will always remind me of the wonderful online shopping experience. Thank you ❤ LuckyMonkey!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. If you like rockabilly, this is the place for you. Upstairs there is good food and coffee, downstairs there is a shop with unusual clothes and other items.

Cool atmosphere, delicious cakes and absolutely stylish service!

We spontaneously visited this shop and there was a lot to discover. The permanent guests (mannequins), creative furnishings/decor, an in-house shop, creative menu and drinks list and very friendly staff. I took a hot dog to eat. Optimal snack, very tasty and had lots of fried onions, which for me is part of a good hot dog. There was also a salad with a fine dressing. I also really liked the homemade iced tea, really refreshing. All in all we had a great stay at Luckymonkey, with lots of new impressions. Will definitely come by again.

I've been here a few times and the best thing is the excellent food and the super friendly staff, who respond very easily to all kinds of special requests and are very attentive and accommodating. Luckymonkey is THE recommendation for brunch in Aarau.

An incredibly nice shop! You immediately feel comfortable. After a lovingly served coffee (I really appreciate the glass of water and the cookies with it) we went to the lower floor. At first glance the sales area seems quite small AAABER... you can always find something new. Highly Recommended!

Pretty and loving decor, imaginative drinks, but unfortunately no real vegetarian options for food, which is somehow inappropriate for such a "hip" place. Hopefully that will change soon :-)

It's a shame, the cafe is very nicely decorated and has great ideas for clothes and drinks. Unfortunately the quality of the drinks is poor. I'm really thinking about trying something again: the chai latte was just sweetened milk (no hint of tea). The last tea I had was absolutely tasteless. It sounds fine on the menu, but organic alone isn't enough. It should also be drinkable.
