The Schattdorf-Haldi cable car A small, cute train runs from Schattdorf to its local mountain, Haldi, which is a small, tranquil settlement. When I arrived at the valley station at 11.40 a.m., the friendly cashier gave me a ticket to get to the Haldi upon showing my GA. The ride was very beautiful and when I reached the top I enjoyed a wonderful view over the Uri lowlands and Lake Uri. On the way back I had an interesting conversation with the cashier and a local resident. Thank you very much and keep it up.

Good cable car. However, 8 CHF per person is an impressive price.

We went on our kindergarten trip to Haldi. The staff at the cable car were very friendly when making the reservation and also on the day of the hike and were able to provide good information. They also helped out in the event of an incident with a child so that the child could be brought to the valley station unharmed. Thank you very much. Highly recommended for school classes, reservation required in advance for large groups!
