Lupa in Zofingen

I had made a reservation for 5 people 2 days before but then forgot about it. Luckily there were still enough places available. This wasn't the first time the reservation was forgotten. Pizzas were really good and generally you can eat well there BUT the service was anything but friendly and motivated. You could see that the staff wasn't interested. When we paid, the waiter complained because we wanted to pay separately. We used to go there often, but from now on we will prefer other Italian restaurants. A pity.

A piece of Italy in the city of Zofingen I recently visited the Kirchplatz pizzeria "La Lupa" and, as always, I was completely impressed. From the authentic atmosphere to the delicious food, this restaurant has everything I could hope for in a traditional pizzeria. The ambience is charming and welcoming, with rustic decoration and friendly service that makes you feel like you are part of the Italian family. The waiters are attentive and helpful when choosing from the extensive menu and are always available if needed. The pizza itself was simply divine today. The thinly rolled dough was perfectly crispy and light, and the toppings were fresh and of the highest quality. Particularly recommended is the "Pizza al prosciutto e funghi freschi", a delicious creation with homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella, fresh basil as well as mushrooms and fine ham. In addition to the pizzas, the menu also offers a variety of appetizers, fresh pasta dishes and desserts, all of which are worth checking out. Overall, I can highly recommend the Pizzeria Kirchplatz "La Lupa". Whether for a romantic dinner for two or a sociable evening with friends, you are guaranteed to be treated to excellent food and warm hospitality here. Buon appetito!

The constant whistling of the employees in this pizzeria is really annoying and disturbing. It makes eating at this restaurant unpleasant and difficult to enjoy. It would be nice if the employees could be more considerate of the guests in the future. I can't recommend this restaurant at the moment!

There was no table reserved in my name. However, it had enough space. The location in the old town is great. We sat outside. Large selection of dishes. Waiting time from Essen is ok. Unfortunately our spaghetti vongole was sandy and cold. It was sandblasting for the teeth. Simply too expensive for this bland food. We would have gotten a coffee for it. Was the last time in this pizzeria.

I may be biased, but finding staff who always have a good word even when you see that they have a lot of work and are tired, that the Chef prepares you a dish that you can eat with your eyes and that is so good that you don't even think about making a photo of the dish to share on social media. The fact that you can decide to be comfortable inside the restaurant (1st floor near the kitchen or the ground floor), on the terrace or across the street... wonderful... The coffee is good and well looked after. The homemade dessert... I'm salivating just thinking about it.... Thanks guys ❤️... We were in this pizzeria at the children's party. Despite the full house and stressful situations, the staff kept a cool head and were always friendly and courteous. We ate a calzone and two spaghetti bolognese. We would like to come back there again. However, for a party like this (which takes place *every year*...) it would make sense to have more than 3 waiters so that the barista doesn't have to wait as well (which she did excellently!)

Worst service ever!!! Waiters gossiped about all the guests in Italian, every order was accepted with reluctance, service only came upon request and then the eyes were rolled, no thanks and goodbye. We will not be guests again.

We ordered spaguetti bolognese, a green salad and a pizza. So... the salad was full of brown edges. The spagauettis were massively overcooked and bland, the pizza was watery and bland. The service staff was unfriendly, stressed and inattentive. We organized the pepper mill and cheese we ordered ourselves from the neighboring table because it wasn't brought as ordered.

I regret to inform you that my experience at your restaurant was extremely disappointing. I had visited your establishment before and always enjoyed the excellent food and pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was not so positive. My mother found a SCREW in her tortellini dish, which really worried us and was also dangerous. However, when we brought this to the attention of the staff we were taken for a fool and no refund was offered. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also unacceptable. I am disappointed that your staff did not take the issue seriously and made my mother and I feel unwelcome. I hope you take steps to ensure such an event does not happen again. Given this, I unfortunately cannot recommend your restaurant.

It's a great place with deliciooous food. I had cannelloni - the taste is just fantastic, I even wanted to get a second portion. If you're looking for a vegetarian option, come here just to try this one. The service is awesome. Thank you! 💜

Beautiful pizzeria in the middle of the old town. I only had a half hour lunch break. The waiter immediately brought me the menu, took my order and 10 minutes later my pizza was on the table. The pizza is extremely tasty and the waiting time was even fun because I could watch the pizzaiolo bake and do his tricks. 20.80Fr. I think it's a lot for a pizza but it was worth it to me.

My friend and I had dinner here last night and we were both very happy! The pizzas are nice and big, well salted (but not overly so), and have a lovely thin crust. The service was good, and the atmosphere was okay too. There appear to have been lots of Italians present too, which is a good sign, I believe. Over all, I definitely recommend this restaurant, and believe you won’t be disappointed -just skip the side salad. It’s basically just ice berg salad with waaaay too much dressing. Definitely not worth 8 francs.

On September 27th, 2022 we had dinner at “La Lupa”. The service and the food were, as always, tasty and balanced. However, the manager was not flexible and unfriendly. Why? No goods came out of the cigarette machine after the money was inserted. Which I reported to the manager. Although he had time, he sat comfortably alone at a table and had a service expert check my statement. After the service specialist had made sure that the machine wasn't working, I went back to see the manager. He didn't want to pay me the CHF 10 that the machine had kept. He claimed that I had to claim the lost money from the ATM company. However, this is not the case. It is contractually agreed with the machine owner that the location owner, i.e. in this case the restaurant “La Lupa”, is responsible and that payment must be made immediately. I would have liked not to report this publicly. But an email is not available on the company's official website. Hopefully the next customer will be treated legally!

Hello As an Italian, very disappointed, but something!! As a family we had dinner, only I was asked if everything was OK. Then my wife's glass of wine was taken away even though there was still wine in the glass and she had to stop the waiter! Beautiful restaurant in the middle of the idyllic old town of Zofingen. There are two terraces. We sat facing the street, elevated with a nice view of the alleys. The green salad for 8 CHF was very simple. A bit of iceberg lettuce with ready-made sauce and a cherry tomato. For the main course there was homemade tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, rocket and fresh parmesan or, for my wife, a porcini mushroom risotto. Both dishes were sensationally good. Everything had the right bite and tasted great. The risotto was creamy and the pasta was nice and moist. Everything is consistent. Thank you, we'll be back.

One of the worst pizzas we have ever eaten. The base is nice and thin, but totally limp, only the edge is crispy and completely burnt. For 23, you can normally expect a generously topped pizza, but here you seem to be counting out the ingredients. At least the chili oil is also suitable for children for sharpening, as they have deliberately avoided using hot peppers. The evening was rounded off by the surprisingly unfriendly staff, who skillfully ignored guests or looked away when they drew attention to themselves and quickly changed direction.

Had dinner there with family. The pizzas were good and the pasta too. However, the service wasn't there at first and we were ignored for 15 minutes. Then we took the drinks, but we got them again 15 minutes later. To order the food we had to ask again four times, only then did they have time for us. After ordering, things didn't go any faster. The children's pizzas arrived after 20 minutes. One of the three pizzas was wrong and was then taken back. Of 2 pasta dishes, one came 10 minutes after the pizzas and the waiter forgot to order the second. That means another 15 minutes until the last person at the table had eaten. Unfortunately, the white wine that was sprayed was just water. Our opinion: the food is average to good. There are better pizzas in the city and with more ingredients. The spaghetti frutta di mare tasted good. However, the portion was too small for the price. The biggest negative point in our opinion is the service. Inattentive to unfriendly service. If we hadn't been there with children, the evening at La Lupa would have been over for us after the first drink at the latest. So we sat out the evening. We probably won't go there again for a long time if we even try again.

I've been visiting this pizzeria for special occasions for years. The kitchen has much more to offer than pizzas... just walk in, or better yet, make a reservation. From a culinary point of view it is very worthwhile! The staff were all nice and helpful.

The food was much better a few years ago, the menu was adjusted and it hasn't been the same since. Unfortunately, as always, the employees are pretty unfriendly, but I still went there because of the delicious food. Pizzas are incredibly tasty, as ever. Observing employees eating non-stop, they were asked whether everything was OK or whether it tasted good. It's a shame, I think I won't be a regular customer anymore.

Extremely judgmental and unsympathetic first impression where we had to show our Covid certificate, which was very questionable because a waiter didn't wear a mask over his nose and mouth. It also took the waiter a good minute to calculate 175-14. Service was poor. The wine was poured straight away without tasting. The pizza was okay, but far too little for the money. After the first impression we should have changed our mind straight away, but what happened next was even more disappointing.

Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience. The pizza base is nice and thin. The tomatoes had an extremely high amount of fat (olive oil), but the taste was still barely recognizable as tomatoes. The spicy pizza was very bland, the additional ingredients (e.g. anchovies) were hardly present. The gnocchi would certainly be good, but it was still so raw that some of it was just a lump of dough from many gnocchi. All in all, one of the worst Italian restaurants I've visited in recent years. Unfortunately.
